Good in that it's the same platform for almost all my clients, bad in that each site has been written differently and zero consistency leaves me searching for how to make simples fixes. Pros I like that there are now more and more widgets we can add to personalize functions. I also like that I can do a live preview while editing and it is a robust platform. Cons Where to start? First, I immensely dislike that so much of the code is hidden pages, within pages, within pages. It is like it's designed so that only your original website developer can understand what they did. I am now editing two websites for companies that no longer want to use their developers, and figuring out where all the code has been written has been a bear. Also. sometimes, when I try to add custom CSS, the template completely ignores it and I end up using etc. I think the interface could also be cleaner. Pros I like that there exist endless options with which you can improve your website. You can choose from free to paid options. Cons Different pieces are developed by different companies and have to work as a whole, which is not always the case. Adding different functionalities slows down the website even if you have great hosting. Switched from [Wix](https://www.capterra.com/p/169007/Wix/) Certain functions did not work for weeks and it was not clear when they would start working. The price was significantly higher but less options for optimization. Those were available only for even higher price. Very irritating was that I was offered a trial for an advanced package with a discount. After a trial period I saw that I am not using the functionalities (online payment system). Cons Choosing the Wordpress templates for your own blog is clunky at times and hard to navigate for the beginner. It's best to review some sort of tutorials via youtube or some other website to help understand on how to build and create your own website. The WordPress community forum can be a little slow in responding to questions. You can use a domain but need to pay to use it on WordPress which is an additional cost if you're on a limited budget.
