### "WordPress Review"

January 25, 2019

5.0

I give it 7/10 just because I am already familiar with some web development and technical language. WordPress can be very messy, so I recommend doing a lot of research and learning before jumping in. They are great at updating and keeping their software secure from spam and hackers so that is a plus.

Pros

The best part about WordPress is their community base and free plugins. There is almost limitless possibilities on creating your website, adding features and a lot of people available to support you. A lot of this is FREE and WordPress comes with pre-installed themes to choose from if you want to get started right away.

Cons

There is absolutely no real support from WordPress directly. You will need to rely on community forums and read through a lot of materials before you find a solution, which in most cases you will. You need to be technically savvy to use this as there is no easy set-up tutorial that I know of. I recommend reading forums, watching YouTube tutorials, read review on popular themes (i.e. visit popular theme websites), and learning website development before you begin to use WordPress. It can get very annoying when you are stuck but well worth the investment at the end.

### "Although not hard to use it should be easier"

April 2, 2019

4.0

I'm basically satisifed with WordPress but even if I wasn't there aren't a lot of options. WordPress sites are ranked highly by Google so if you want to compete then you don't have a lot of options. Generally it's not a hard interface to learn as a beginner but if you want to really personalize your site then you're going to have to really learn a lot. And mastering WordPress is a lot more difficult than just working with the basics. Thankfully there is a lot of support out there for help. Be prepared to research and install a bunch of plugins too. That's really what makes WordPress work for YOU.

Pros

I really like that the base software is free, and most hosting makes installing very simple. The free templates available are pretty good too. The interface isn't too hard to learn either which makes it pretty beginner friendly.

Cons

Although the free templates are good they aren't terribly creative. If you want to make a website that really stands out you are going to want to look beyond them and that gets expensive. So I really wish there were more free options so not everything would end up looking very similar. Recently they changed to "blocks" for creating a blog post or page and that seems unnecessary. It's a lot more difficult to format things correctly now.

### "Just one word for WordPress - IRREPLACEABLE"

October 16, 2019

5.0

Great Experience using WordPress. Creating websites on WordPress has opened a lot of opportunities for content creators, webmasters and website owners! When anyone thinks of creating a website - just one CMS comes to mind which is WordPress.

Pros

The best thing about WordPress is the ease of using it! Any newbie can learn the WordPress dashboard within a few hours. Customising the theme according to our needs is the most amazing part of it! Wordpress can be literally installed on any server/website!

Cons

Running a very large e-commerce type of website becomes a hassle sometimes. Apart from that WordPress is amazing for small to medium-sized websites!

### "WordPress, I love it!"

March 12, 2019

5.0

Pros

I have been using WordPress for years and it keeps getting better and better. They've added more security features plus made it easy for anyone to edit their website. Using the theme feature allows site admins to change the look and feel as they wish. More experienced developers like myself can create our own themes from scratch. I have done this on numerous occasions. I have found it much easier to do than other CMS products I have tried. Plus, I like it because it puts power in the hands of the user. I also really love the fact there are more plugins than you can shake a stick at; trying to do something new, check the plugin library. Most likely that new option already exists.

Cons

I have not had one bad experience with WordPress. I will say learning to develop WordPress themes and plugins has a bit of a steep learning curve for those not familiar with writing PHP code, as well as html5 and css3. Other than that, simply love it!

### "Taking Technicality out of designing a website"

November 13, 2019

5.0

For me WordPress was an actual game changer. Designing a website for a non governmental organisation is quite tedious because you have to keep cost down and this is where WordPress has really assisted my organisation. I take pictures and videos free from my phone which allows me to upload content more frequently to keep stakeholders informed. I can change the design of a website within a week a process that may have taken me months if I employed a website designer. The interface online is quite easy to use and you can obtain a domain name and hosting right from their platform instead of sourcing these services for yourself.

Pros

When I started doing simple websites for Non Governmental Organisations it is was a nerve wrecking process. You had to find a person skilled in coding, who could design a website for you. You had to get someone who could take pictures and send them to the website designer. The pics had to be a certain format and size. With WordPress they handle exactly what the web-designer would have and you could pick from a wide array of templates how you would like your website to look. I now take pictures with my phone, imagine that and upload them for myself. They actually walk you through the entire process taking the technicality out of designing a website for your organisation.

Cons

I just wish WordPress had more buttons for applications like PayPal but that's just me I think I like too much variety.

### "Wordpress, still the standard"

November 14, 2019

5.0

I've been using Wordpress for a very long time, using it to build countless websites.

Pros

Wordpress still continues to be the largest and most open way to build a professional website. It has hundreds of plugins that allow you to integrate anything from Instagram to Shopify into your website.

Cons

Initial setup can be a bit of a chore, but many hosts now have 1 click setups to get the server side going. At that point it's easy enough to install a template. However this is not a set it and forget it system, and requires maintenance.

Reason for choosing WordPress

It's simply the standard and most open of all website building platforms.

### "An excellent platform for blogs and even for an online sales site, with thousands of plugins availab"

October 26, 2018

5.0

I use WordPress exclusively for more than 3 years. I manage all my blogs and sites on Wordpress, generating huge traffic monthly, on smaller niches sites. Working as part of Wordpress offers, and more on content and development. I like Wordpress because it is easy to use, affordable and I can find online support easily.

Pros

Wordpress always surpasses all other platforms. It is a highly extensible, editable and customizable blogging platform. It is possible to access thousands of third-party plugins that are integrable modules to Wordpress, and that really make it a work of care, such as tables and entries, customer queries, site statistics for visits to users, various improvements in page loading speed, help in search engine optimization… With Wordpress, you can start small, develop it gradually, and add everything you need to run a successful online business while controlling and owning it. Many great text and video tutorials are available online to help novices create attractive and well-designed websites.

Cons

In my experience, the main disadvantage of Wordpress is the lack of an integrated page authoring tool. In fact, relying on exclusive plugin page generators is not the best way to ensure the long-term viability of a website.

### "Behold The Power Of Wordpress"

February 25, 2020

5.0

My experience with WordPress has been great overall. I like the customization and control I have to manage our site, forms, and landing pages.

Pros

WordPress is extremely customizable and flexible. I love the compatibility with page builders coupled with custom HTML and the vast marketplace of plugins.

Cons

WordPress is still not as intuitive as some newer CMS platforms. With flexibility doesn’t come a level of complexity.

### "Can't imagine being online without Wordpress"

April 15, 2020

5.0

Pros

Simply stated, Wordpress (WP) is indispensable. Trying to build a website prior to wordpress was a nightmare - at least for me. Then WP came along and made everything infinitely smoother and far more efficient. With a seemingly endless repository of either free or moderately priced themes and plugins, WP makes developing beautiful and highly functional websites a breeze.

Cons

One of the biggest pet peeves with WP is the clumsiness that surfaces when you try to run multiple screens during development. Sometimes you need to have multiple pages of a developing site running, but WP doesn't make this as intuitive and as easy as it should be. To their credit, the platform is ever evolving, so I am sure that this is something that will eventually be addressed in future updates. Even with this deficiency, it is still light years ahead of any of the alternatives.

### "Best Software platform to Web designing and blogging"

October 11, 2018

5.0

overall It better Web palform to get relaible web product

Pros

WordPress is the best platform to design web pages very easy and there are many tools are available to get output, it will come with extremely vibrant and better support community if there are any issues we can easily manage over the internet so that it will get better user experience for us. you have an idea about the new thing, just do it through the WordPress, it will be a better infrastructure to your product and Wordpress is very flexible web platform. Awosamo plugins are available for it so that output will be very professional.

Cons

There are some problems, if someone tries to learn more coding side it will be reduced through that, so that has the good side and bad side also. In with some updates, it will gain unfit for the output and also some plugins are not accurate according to the scenario. through that, we can't get more security so that users has to take owns security.

### "Easy to use and customizable"

February 15, 2020

Overall, WordPress is a great CMS and is super user-friendly. I've been using it for years now so I think I have a pretty good handle on the in's and outs of it. However, its very simple to show a new team member how to find things - very intuitive.

Pros

I like how easy it is to connect all the plugins we need for SEO purposes. For example, we almost always use the Yoast SEO plugin and its so easy to install in WordPress and populates seemlesly within the page editor.

Cons

Sometimes the page preview doesn't necessarily work. I will change something involving the layout or template of the page and when I open the preview it doesn't look 100% the same as when it's published.

### "An Advanced Publishing Platform"

December 4, 2019

4.0

Overall, WordPress is the best website builder and you cannot go wrong with it. It is a feature-rich tool that will help you build the website you need!

Pros

WordPress is a great tool to develop your own website and the fact that it is free boggles my mind. It is high;y customisable, and that makes it suitable for any kind of website, be it a forum, blog, news website etc. And if the built-in customizability doesn't cater to your needs (a rare occurrence, really), WordPress also offers plugins. The best thing of all is that WordPress is SEO friendly. I researched this before choosing a website builder and turns out that WordPress is built in a manner that makes search engines more likely to show websites built on WordPress higher on the search results. There are even more SEO related plugins that can help further optimise your website!

Cons

WordPress is quite technical, so there is the truth that there is a bit of learning curve to it. If you're completely clueless when it comes to coding (CSS or HTML), you might take a bit of time to get used to WordPress.

### "What can we say? The Internet runs on WordPress!"

June 15, 2018

5.0

Pros

WordPress by nature is a blogging platform, Which is nice because out of the box it does search engine optimization. very, very well. It's also got a nice catalog of Plugins. Because it's so widely used, the community provides support and has support forums where you can find the answers to just about any issue

Cons

One con is how widely used. It has become as a result, it has become a larger target for hackers. For that reason, it's very important to keep WordPress and any installed plugins up to date, to avoid being targeted by hackers or subject to newly discovered vulnerabilities.

### "Lifesaver! UltraFlexible Platform for all Types of Business!"

February 15, 2018

Pros

Millions of business were created using Wordpress alone! I cannot recommend this tool enough. You don't know how to code? Learn Wordpress. You don't have the money to use other fancy tools. Use wordpress. You don't know how everything works online? That's fine. Learn Wordpress.

Cons

Is it safe? Yes, it's hackable. But, Yes, it's preventable. Is it easy to use? No, but you can learn how to use this one if you really want to. Do I have to code? yes and now, if you want to uber customise, you have to code. If you want the basic functionality, you don't need to learn any coding skill.

### "Industry Standard"

February 1, 2019

Word is limited but works well as my base software for content development.

Pros

Once you learn your way around, Word is a consistent, stable tool for the basics. It's also the accepted platform to use when a team is collaborating on content.

Cons

Word lacks the creativity of some other options, but can't be beat for the most efficient way to handle the basic or word processing. I rarely use the help function because I've found it much easier to go to third-party videos and posts to get questions answered and learn the best ways to use Word. Customer service and support is the area that needs improvement.

### "High level website building"

January 31, 2023

5.0

I have a blog for many years. Also, when someone asks me about building a website, I always forward them to Wordpress. Everyone likes it.

Pros

When it comes to building inexpensive websites, both economically and temporally, Wordpress is always my choice. Also, the enormous amount of plugins, both free and premium, are extremely useful. So I could say that the best Wordpress has is that it allows third parties to upgrade the experience. And even more, it provides a great set of tools.

Cons

I could not complain about Wordpress even if I used it for so many years. It is always evolving in the good direction and its features are ahead of my needs. I hope they keep it up that way for many years to come.

### "Great way to launch a classroom blog for professional educators"

July 31, 2018

5.0

I am able to push out a nice newsletter to the classroom's family and other stakeholders in a convenient, easy, quick to use place. This really makes communicating with parents a breeze.

Pros

I have used wordpress since 2010 as a means of updating classroom activites for my parents in my 3rd grade classroom. I also have a personal blog. Wordpress is by far the easiest to use of the big players. There are many customizations, including themes (many of which are free). Wordpress also gives me insight into how many views each post has gotten and how may views the sight has had within the past day, week, month, year. Wordpress also makes it easy to insert media into your text. It makes keeping parents informed a breeze. This year we are starting one for the school as a whole. There are also a ton of plug ins, (again, a lot of them free) that make adding extras to your web page easy.

Cons

Some of the customizations, (themes and plug ins) can be pricey. But again, those are not needed in a lot of cases.

### "The best value for a CMS, but how much is your time worth?"

November 4, 2019

4.0

WordPress is a great product that can do nearly anything you want. It will take more time versus the more standard off the shelf products like Squarespace and Wix but if you're thinking "I wonder if WordPress can do XYZ" the answer is certainly almost yes, in one way or another. With Squarespace or Wix you might be able to do 75% the same thing in half the time, but the last 25% is unattainable.

Pros

WordPress has nearly infinite possibilities in terms of flexibility. Websites can be launched with minimal cost of hosting and providing a domain (or of course the free version). It's generally easy to get started and navigate the controls of the site. Add-ons can integrate nearly any service the company currently uses. There's a great deal of nice looking themes to jumpstart the creation of the website.

Cons

While the themes and add-ons are powerful, it creates a dependency that can cause headaches down the road. If you found the perfect add-on that automates a routine, or connects two different services, or makes the website look the way you want, you have now created something that can break in the future. WordPress constantly needs updating. Updates are generally good but sometimes updates can and will break something and you are left scrambling for a fix or replacement.

Reason for choosing WordPress

WordPress has been great, but we have ultimately decided to switch to something with lower overhead and upkeep.

Pros

I like that you can make anything you want. Use WordPress core as back end and with some integration or without it(WordPress API) you are making a decent app with custom functionality or creating a website and use WordPress as content, product... and more management system.

Cons

One thing that disrupting things are updates of the WordPress version, sometimes plugins stop working or working with issues.

What I have observed since I am using Wordpress, It is highly recommended customized websites. This is simple and straight, for those who want to choose CMS software for website creation. I strongly recommend WordPress on the basis of my personal experience.

Pros

The Best part of Wordpress is you can easily customize your website add or remove any required plugins you want. There are so many different options within the single plugin functionality. WordPress support really incredible Themes, It is an amazing, supportive interface for your website. It has multiple other benefits for example, you can integrate hundreds of other programs with this amazing Content Management System Software (WORDPRESS)

Cons

In my personal opinion as I didn't use any other CMS except WordPress, That's why This Content Management system is at a high level of likeness for me as per my experience. I can only say one thing which I don't like about Worpress is commonly getting confused on SO MANY themes and Plugins.
