### "There is no better solution for designing websites"

January 18, 2019

5.0

WordPress has been something I've used for years. As things change with the program they have always given very specific instructions and tutorials. The evolution has been seamless and well-made. Anyone that wants to have a good website and once to be able to rank on the search engines well then WordPress is the way to go.

Pros

Ease-of-use is the number one feature. From beginners to pros word press is the easiest way to get your website up and running in no time. You can design a world class website that starts getting ranked by Google quickly without knowing any code.

Cons

Lack of really good templates for free is the biggest letdown maybe the only letdown.

### "An easy way to communicate knowledge and obtain opinions that help reinforce acquired ones"

June 20, 2018

5.0

The satisfaction of delivering knowledge to other people and the interaction with people who are interested in the topics I write. This software is very important to obtain knowledge of different topics in a summarized and clear way.

Pros

I love the interaction with people from other countries because that way my knowledge is reinforced. In addition to reading the blogs of other people who are in the same area of scientific knowledge, you can get an update on the topics. When reviewing the wordpress there are different topics that are very interesting for people who do not have time to read long writings and need to be up to date on different topics; helping to keep the reader up to date with the summary of something important. It is important that you can write and direct the topic to the most relevant applications such as facebook, twitter, etc.

Cons

The format sometimes does not allow you to include some templates to change the shape of the page and the users sometimes need to do this because of the marketing needs.

### "The Most Used CRM System. Good for Blogs but not Ecommerce"

March 14, 2021

4.0

Good for blogs an those that are not tech savy but lacks the tools and features to be used in ecommerce.

Pros

Everyone has heard of Wordpress and the ability to host your blog for free on their subdomain makes it an easy point of entry for entrepreneurs. It provides an easy introduction to making a website for newbies and makes it easy for multiple people to publish blogs on your website.

Cons

To add more complicated features to your website, you'll need to install a bunch of 3rd party widgets which can be unreliable. UI is still difficult to use and navigate for those that are not web developers and you cannot make changes to your website using drag and drop like other website platforms.

### "Quick way to setup a website for clients."

July 9, 2018

4.0

Pros

I like that it is easy to get started building a website, and also because there are a lot of plugins you don't even need a developer for so many things. Even though I am a developer, I appreciate the speed and convenience of Wordpress.

Cons

A lot of the time Wordpress feels like one big hack held together with duct tape that has been sitting outside for a year. I keep saying "Wordpress has millions of users, they must have fixed this bug by now". There are a lot of incompatibilities between plugins, themes and Wordpress versions, so it can be difficult to keep everything maintained.

### "Great choice for blogging beginners"

September 23, 2018

5.0

WordPress is very good for bloggers who want to start a simple blog to share their content with the world. Blogger gets good options to easily manage the blog by adding multiple content creators.

Pros

It is quite efficient for people who are willing to start a cheap or budget friendly blog. WordPress provide suitable hosting for writers who want to start sharing there content through a blog or webpage on a cheap price. WordPress is also very easy to setup. They provide good choice of web templates for bloggers. Also you can use custom templates. Other than that you find great variety of plug ins to enhance you blog or website.

Cons

WordPress have not a much room for vast websites because they do not provide good hosting plans comparing to the current market which is filled with much better hosting options. If someone wants to start a website with a custom template, provide by a third party or WordPress itself, then the person should have some knowledge of coding skills.

### "Responsive website using wordpress"

March 19, 2021

4.0

Overall wordpress is quite good and responsive for website building . Using customized theme website development is quite easy but there is some concern in security issue and tutorials.

Pros

We can create a very responsive website through wordpress. There are wide variety of templates using which we can build up attractive website which are even mobile friendly too. It has also made easy for social media integration . We can use various tools and it gets updated with time .

Cons

There is some security issue with it and it's quite vulnerable to hacking as it is open source. At first it requires some web development knowledge and the tutorial are not quite up to date and convenient . Some of the customisation theme are very poor in design.

### "Wordpress is perfect for beginners or if you're looking to quickly get something set up"

July 31, 2018

4.0

I've got a great looking, fully functional website that is very easy to manage and update when I need it to be, at no cost either.

Pros

Wordpress is one of the most well known and respected platforms on the market, and the fact that it still maintains this reputation is testament to it's quality. It does exactly what you need it to. It's intuitive, easy to manage and even easier to set up, especially with their gorgeous templates. And if you ever run into an issue as well, there is a huge community of Wordpress bloggers ready to step in and help. The ease of the platform is truly outstanding.

Cons

I've found that Wordpress can be a bit limited, especially when it comes to customising your web page. To do more with it, you'll need to have a solid coding base as a lot of options are only able to be unlocked after paying. Also, if your decision is based on monetary conditions only, there are cheaper web solutions out there that can do a passable job instead.

### "In 2018, for anything other than a blog, this is not a product I'd purchase again."

July 19, 2018

3.0

It is a good choice for a simple website or blog, but requires a basic knowledge of html, so your mileage may vary.

Pros

As a business product, and with a consultant doing all of the design and administration, this was a fine product to get started with. It got us our web presence and repository for information, so if that's all you need, and you have the in-house talent or outside assistance to administer it, it's a fine choice.

Cons

It is incredibly clunky by 2018 standards. It is difficult to administer, and requires knowledge prereq's that no one really needs anymore for a simple information and commerce site.

### "Perfect for rookie developers"

March 11, 2019

5.0

Wordpress has taught me website and team management, as well as encouraged me to test and create my own coding projects!

Pros

Once you've got it installed, managing your website is a breeze. I personally love tinkering with existing themes/widgets to create the exact website I want without having to be a full-blown web developer. It's a great starting point for newbies, or final product for those who just want an easy solution.

Cons

Sometimes I wish the plugins library was curated more, and maybe had better search functionality? (offer plugins based on my past downloads, switch up the featured section a little, etc)

### "Awesome community support"

January 19, 2020

5.0

Helping organizations get their company message on the internet.

Pros

Wordpress uses many standard web developing practices. Set up and usage ranges from easy to advanced. If help is needed, it is easy to find someone with advanced knowledge of wordpress.

Cons

There are many community supported feature that are available. Since many are freely provided sometimes they break when wordpress is updated. This will either limit functionality or stop working completely.

Reason for choosing WordPress

While wordpress can be slower than a simple html page. The number of functions and features available balances it out.

### "Without knowing a line of code I could easily customize my website"

June 14, 2018

5.0

customizing my own website with a variety of themes to choose from. I didn'y have to know any previous knowledge of coding or programming to be able to customize my website theme of choice

Pros

It's super easy and user friendly. I have no experience in programing whatsoever but still I was able to customize my website theme and even add third-party plugins which only recquired me to read an article or two to learn the "how to"

Cons

They really don't have support so it feels like when customizing your website you're on your own out there and even the lightest ignorant modification you make can cause your site instability if you don't know what you're doing. You can't build your theme if you don't know how to code which leaves you with the customization of a ready theme option only.

### "Scalable Website Foundation"

December 18, 2019

5.0

I wouldn't take back any of the time I've spent using Wordpress.

Pros

I've used Wordpress to build websites for years. There are a million different ways to build a Wordpress site, and they're not all good, but when done right it's a fantastic platform that will expand as your company grows. You can do just about anything with the right server.

Cons

Back in the day, there were definitely bugs. I haven't used the most recent Gutenberg editor, so I can't comment on that. Most of the complaints I hear about Wordpress are more due to poor construction or a lack of proper maintenance, not Wordpress itself.

### "Excellent free option for webpage "

August 19, 2021

5.0

I use WordPress for my professional website and it looks and works great.

Pros

I use WordPress.com for my professional site and I love that it's free, you just have to pay for hosting. That alone is worth figuring out how to use it, which does take a little while. The templates are gorgeous and there are a million to choose from.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve in setting it up, but it's not that onerous.

### "Best CMS tool for various web projects"

January 11, 2018

4.0

Pros

I like the easyness of a system and ability to adapt it to almost every needs and every specifications. Since it is an open source you can edit it as you wish.

Cons

Maybe the biggest con would be speed. I mean, I work in web development business, and we tweak wordpress so it is up to date, and as fast as possible, but for average user or beginner the main themes may be too slow, full of unecessary plugins, etc. In other words, if you want a really good website based on Wordpress, you can not simply install a theme - you need a profesionall developer to adjust it to your business.

### "WordPress is by far the most powerful we platform"

February 6, 2019

5.0

I've been a developer for over 15 years and found WordPress about 10 years ago. I've used it off and on over the years but as of the last 3-4 I can't see myself using any other development platform or process for my web campaigns.

Pros

WordPress has a massive community full of developers and support professionals who constantly evolve. The platform is ever changing and it makes improvements very fast.

Cons

There is a lot of security issues without your own personal servers and security setup. If you host through a service make sure to get solid firewall and other security options setup immediately. Highly recommend a paid firewall plugin.

### "Create your website witih ease"

December 18, 2020

my overall experience with wordpress hhas been super excellent and i learn new things ass i go about using the platform

Pros

Wordpress is by far the best web development software i've used. The feature i love most is the function where you can upload codes into your site builder and aslo the feature that enables the user to import templates and websites that are under development from other web development platforms and it seems more or less ok. building a website has never been this easy and for a fact, i never really took web dev serious but i'm able to build a descent website within hours with everything functiong perfectly

Cons

it is great that you can import websites from other web dev platforms but the issue that rises most of the time is compatibilty with the website you imported into wordpress

### "Great for ecommerce"

December 6, 2020

5.0

WordPress will forever be the top free platform for building a simple user-friendly website. That being said, room for innovation is always important to continuously keep customers and entrepreneurs like myself engaged.

Pros

I have always been a big fan of WordPress and how simple they have made website deployment over the years. I have always recommended WordPress to like-minded colleagues looking to go off with their own idea and turn it into a website. Deployment with additional plugins like WooCommerce and Jetpack make it that little bit sweeter.

Cons

I have always found issues with WordPress's customer support function. Getting things done can sometimes be far more complicated than they should be. That alongside the wide range of misleading plugins that could cause 'irreversible' damage to your website has made me second guess WordPress over the years, especially with the new emergence of platforms like Shopify, Krepling, and Webflow adding insult to injury when it comes to WordPress's website market share.

### "Content Management Made Easy"

September 12, 2018

5.0

The platform allows for virtually any type of webpage to be created and managed with ease. Designing for a client becomes very effective as you can hand over the project and just let them add content and use their site without being coding masters.

Pros

The menus and tools made available not only help you create an interactive and effective website, but the content management could not be easier. All other content management systems are trying to keep up to Wordpress

Cons

Having used virtually every version of this system since it came out, I can tell you that updates can be a minor hazzard. Back up your site before updating every time.

### "WordPress is a great step-above-entry-level web development platform"

January 25, 2019

4.0

I used WordPress for a campaign website that I was running for a local politician, as well as an online entertainment reviews and news website. The former was very simplistic and quick and easy to create and maintain in WordPress, and the former was more complicated and harder to maintain. However, I am not what I would consider a full subject matter expert on WordPress, so I feel like the more I use the program in the future, the easier it will be to work out hurdles that I come across as I learn more.

Pros

WordPress is such a standard web development platform that it's really easy to find good plug-ins that will help your site reach its full potential, as there's gobs and gobs of them on the market. The same goes for themes, which are readily available for purchase from many sites, and are usually quite reasonably priced. It can be used for both small and complex websites, and the content management system is pretty awesome.

Cons

The thing is, with so many third party plug-ins in use on a more complex site, any WordPress update can cause unintended consequences if it's a large enough update, and essentially break your plug-ins if those aren't being maintained by their authors. I struggled with issues like this in the past with WordPress when trying to keep everything up to date and running smoothly. Due to this, the learning curve can be quite steep when it comes to WordPress.

### "Good For Almost Everything"

December 28, 2018

5.0

I've used for over 6 years for just about everything under the sun. It's been entirely positive.

Pros

I have four corporate Wordpress sites, one for my podcast, and one for my personal blog. The software has tons of plugins, setting it up is usually straightforward, and administration is typically hassle-free. There's a reason why so many websites are running on Wordpress now. It's not just for blogs.

Cons

With plugins Wordpress everything I've ever wanted it to do. In the free version of it (hosted on Wordpress.com) I didn't like the lack of default font options, but that's an easily remedied quibble.

### " Very useful for my website content"

January 5, 2021

4.0

It is a very useful software that I use while preparing my first website and in my subsequent works. I will continue to use it in the future.

Pros

This software is very user friendly and this is a very good feature for me. I hope this doesn't break your line

Cons

They could improve cloud services a little bit more but with future updates, I think this situation can improve at a high rate.
