### "Piattaforma per creazione siti"

Pros

### "Best CMS for most of people"

May 24, 2019

5.0

Pros

I can write a lot about wordpress CMS system since I use it daily and used it for many years. Man this brought me to a totally different world of web projects. When WP started to offer its CMS as open-source software to create websites, blogs and e-shops that was a changing time. Imagine, most of people could just buy a domain, install WP and choose a template and they have. a website! Then we have all plugins made for WP and there are tons of them for different goals like special designed contact forms, sliders, page builders and e-shops. I consider WordPress one of the best CMS out there and here are my reasons: - it is open source - it is free - it is easy to use for non-technical persons - has lots of plugins - has regular updates If you want a functional website quick go with WP CMS

Cons

Need additional work (like server/hosting setting, may be plugins) to increase its security. By default is vulnerable to attacks and I have plenty of examples!

### "The Only CMS You'll Ever Need"

December 20, 2019

5.0

Wordpress is my go-to platform for building websites that require functionality that Squarespace and Wix don't have. It's such a simple, yet powerful CMS that I would recommend it to everyone wanting to build a website.

Pros

The best thing about Wordpress is the vast array of plugins available, which allow you to execute advanced website functionality with ease.

Cons

There's not a lot to dislike about Wordpress. But there is a learning curve when it comes to implementing advanced functionality if you've never used Wordpress before. Luckily, there are plenty of free resources available to help folks navigate the learning process.

### "Best CMS Platform"

March 26, 2019

5.0

Regardless whichever Pro or Con of WordPress CMS, it certainly remains the best CMS to ever launch! Easy to use and manage, Very secured and professional platform. Good to go for multiple purposes.

Pros

WordPress is one of the best professional & most secured CMS ever to launch. Easy to use and manage with or without any technical experience.

Cons

One Discouraging fact of WordPress CMS with user's is the fact that your certainly need one or two plugins to achieve most results successfully which slows down your website load speed, not like a few other CMS where a few lines of codes would help you achieve certain objectives.

### "A good and Simple CMS - WYSIWYG"

June 29, 2022

4.0

We have managed the college's website on Wordpress for nearly 10 years. Once the site was built, it was so simple to train people that everyone on my team was able to make simple updates.

Pros

Wordpress is so simple that anyone can use it.

Cons

Because of the simplicity, there is not very much room for creating dynamic content without getting developers involved. As time went on and our strategy evolved, the platform didn't really meet our needs anymore unless we brought in a developer to create new modules.

### "Why you should use Wordpress for your business?"

May 12, 2020

5.0

I have been using Wordpress for over 10 years and my experience has always been great. Wordpress is the number one Content Management System that one can opt for any business, be it be a personal blog or a website for any big organization.

Pros

The thing I like the most about Wordpress is its ease of functionality for customizing any website. It can be easily customized according to one's needs. There a large number of resources that can be easily found online for help and tutorials.

Cons

The only con might be, for some custom designs might need knowledge of JS, CSS, and HTML for which one has to hire a professional to do the work.

### "Swiss Army Knife Website Platform"

January 18, 2019

4.0

Wordpress is almost anything you want it to be. All it takes is having an idea what kind of website you want to do.

Pros

Wordpress is web equivalent of LEGO contruction set. There are so many elements - you can contruct any site you want. All it takes is a vision. Wordpress is really good for handling content-based ventures where the main focus is in the substance and not on the surface.

Cons

While Wordpress is relatively easy to handle if you are doing basic stuff - it requires some programming skills and understanding of web design in order to make anything more sophisticated than a mash-up of templates.

### "The best CMS option out there"

January 16, 2018

4.0

A free website within half a hour.

Pros

It's free and the best CMS out there. It integrates with every known hosting package and you can have a website in under 30 minutes. I like how there are a lot of theme choices that can give you a powerful & professional website for a small cost compared to hiring a web design company. I've also tried Joomla and others, but Wordpress is far above these.

Cons

No way to get fast support, only their forums. Plus, it could be enforced a bit better in terms of security, as every now and then one of my clients gets their site hacked due to lack of updates.

### "Make your website easy and you have control of your site"

March 19, 2019

5.0

Pros

Wordpress is a practical and low-cost tool for creating websites. Although it requires some technical knowledge to install, it can be easily installed again once you have learned it. It also provides the flexibility that online web site building tools don't provide. Wordpress is a good alternative if you want to have control of your website and don't know a programming language. You can also apply almost any scenario on your website with very wide extension options. From blog to e-commerce, you can use it for any kind of website you need. Furthermore, you can do all of these at no extra cost or at a very low cost depending on used plugins.

Cons

For Wordpress installation, different technical information such as server, domain and ftp are needed. This can create an entrance barrier. However, it can be learned with many training documents on the internet. The website can also run slowly when it is not optimized well.

### "A great CMS for most business websites."

December 3, 2019

5.0

Overall I really like this CMS but I will be honest, I find it a bit difficult to navigate, and for first-time website owners I find the Joomla! CMS to be much more user-friendly.

Pros

What I like most about this software is the fact that it is open source. In addition to the open source nature it is easy to find a lot of free or inexpensive themes and extensions to further expand on the already impressive functionality.

Cons

What I like least about this software is that although it is a great platform the regulations for developing an extension or theme for it are not in place. There are standards, but no review process.

### "Amazing for blogging"

October 16, 2018

5.0

Very happy and a loyal customer! I will use it again and again for my new blogs.

Pros

I have 3 websites and all of them were created in Wordpress. First, of, it is easy to find developers who will create beautiful sites in WordPress for an affordable price. Second, they have great templates, third they have the functionality I need: a plethora of social plugins, mail autoresponder and it is just so easy to create posts in it. If I create my forth page it will be in Wordpress again.

Cons

I am a bit confused how to update it myself...I think it should be easier for a non-technical person like myself.

### "Content Management Leader"

Wordpress allows me to update websites easily and freely without issue.

Pros

Wordpress allows for you to customize your website and add whatever features you would like. If you need a quick website with great functionality, then Wordpress is great to build and create your site. I use Wordpress personally and professionally and found it purposeful and efficient.

Cons

You can't really create anything really modern and fun. You have to create it elsewhere and then move it in. Also, the options for PayPal payments, social media buttons, printing, etc. are nonexistent and are more accessible in Wix.

### "Slight learning curve - enormous functionality"

February 12, 2020

5.0

WordPress is awesome for creating web stores, booking websites, CRM's and so much more. Since I made the switch to WordPress the first time, I've since moved every website I manage across to WP.

Pros

Plugins, they make creating an enterprise level website, exceptionally easy at an incredibly low cost.

Cons

It can be difficult for someone with very little PHP knowledge to make certain changes, or find where to make an edit.

### "Wordpress is a great beginners' platform for sites and blogs."

May 21, 2018

4.0

Wordpress gives easy access to managing and editing sites and provides a great platform for customizing the site/blog the way you want it to be. No matter what you're looking to create, there are literarily 10's of thousands of themes and options to make it like you want it - there's even specialized hosting just for WordPress sites.

Pros

If you're looking to create a site, or have someone create one for you, Wordpress is an excellent starting place. Wordpress is very intuitive and easy to edit and upkeep. The third party support for this platform is unparalleled. There are thousands of developers creating plugins (add-on functionality) and themes.

Cons

If you've never used Wordpress, make sure to keep the number of plugins to a minimum, and that the theme you're using isn't a data hog. Otherwise, you'll be seriously struggling with slow site load times. This is a problem with WordPress - to make it universal, they stuff it with everything anyone might need, causing proneness to slow loading.

### "WordPress has completely changed everything!"

May 8, 2018

5.0

Pros

The benefits of using WordPress are massive. Ever since 2007 I have been using the platform to create new webites, blogs, and businesses without the need to ever touch a line of code. All around, it's one of the best CMS platforms out there.

Cons

All around great, but I would like to see more improvement in the multi-WordPress platform area. Possibly a light version or something less heavy on the server/processing side, instead of needing to do a full install whenever creating a new site. I know better options are out there, but always looking for improvement in these areas.

### "Classic, easy to navigate site builder"

July 23, 2018

4.0

Pros

Wordpress is a wonderfully easy to use website builder. I've used it for a few years now and I love that they keep up with modern website design. The available plugins are great as well and are available for literally anything you need to do on your site. I would highly recommend WordPress for someone just getting started with websites or an experienced individual.

Cons

If you aren't tech savvy WordPress can be a little difficult to navigate. Once you get the hang of it it's fairly simple but I will admit there's a learning curve if you've never used a site builder before.

### "Wordpress is one of my top pick for website platforms."

August 13, 2018

5.0

Pros

The easy-to-use straightforward administrator is excellent for my clients that choose to make minor updates to their sites, even my less computer savvy clients can use it. Out of the box Wordpress has a lot of great features available, and for those features it doesn't have, you've got many plugins available to extend Wordpress to many different things. Wordpress is definitely not just a blog platform, it's much more. Customization of Wordpress is easy to do, even complex customization and building your own plugins can be done easily for those that know programming. The extensive community around Wordpress gives plenty of help when you need it, and the knowledgebase is well written.

Cons

My only complaint, is that I find the theme system a little bit complex for a non-programmer....yes there's tons of templates out there you can customize, but nothing will fit your business better than a completely custom theme....so really need a programmer for that.

### "Still the best platform there is"

January 30, 2019

5.0

I have used WordPress for both small and large scale. On the small scale, I've created personal websites that sell products, and maintain mailing lists. On the large scale, I used it's multi-site capabilities to underpin a business that has created and hosted hundreds of websites today. It's a formidable platform.

Pros

There have been a rise in web publishing platforms of late, but none of them come close to the ease of access richness and scalability that WordPress offers. And what a massive community behind it!

Cons

Ok, so sometimes you can hit the odd technical difficulty. But in all honesty, these have diminished drastically over the last 5 years.

### "The best platform for your website"

November 13, 2018

5.0

It is a great platform for your website!

Pros

I have used Wordpress for several years. I migrated all my websites to Wordpress because is easy to use, very intuitive and have a massive support from developers which gives you the ability to get plugins for do virtually everything on your website.

Cons

I really like everything. It is simple to use and powerful. I think that with the years, it has gotten better and better with load times when using different plugins. This is an effort that for sure will continue in the future since plugins and functionalities become heavier and more complex.

### "Web design made easy with WordPress "

January 21, 2020

5.0

WordPress has helped me in building amazing beautiful sites for clients. I remembered when my first client reached out to me to build her a restaurant site in a day. I knew it would take longer to code from scratch, that was when I discovered WordPress which helped me build the site not only fast but left my client satisfied.

Pros

I love the overall user friendliness of the dashboard that allows newbies to be able to quickly set up their site.

Cons

The customer support is what I like the least. I expected much from WordPress.

### "Template Websites - Not Recommended for Pro Use. Building From Scratch - Highly Recommend "

March 5, 2019

3.0

Wordpress is a great tool when used by reliable designers. I enjoy the flexibility and ease of use of building a custom website from scratch.

Pros

WordPress is great if you need a simple template based design and you don't alter it much. Its very cost effective, and most hobbyists can afford it. If you are planning on using a template for your business, I highly recommend not using WordPress as you are very limited on what you can do. If you plan on using WordPress in a professional capacity, I highly suggest building your website from scratch, so you can have complete control and no limits to SEO & functionality.

Cons

For building from scratch there are no cons. I highly enjoy using it. But template based websites from WordPress have may limitations (like SEO), hidden costs, and basic things needed for a website, you are charged for at sometimes a crazy rate. If you are not familiar or proficient in coding I would not recommend using WordPress.

### "You can't argue with half the sites on the internet!"

February 3, 2019

5.0

Pros

We previously used WordPress for our Customer Support Center. We have since migrated all of our support docs to a shared system with our ticketing application. This wasn't because we no longer liked WordPress, but rather to meet other business needs. I still love WordPress and haven't given up on the old site yet. WordPress is fantastic and gives you so many options to customize your site and still have a solid backend. The amount of support from the community and other resellers is bar non, and you can always just build your own theme.

Cons

Because it is so popular (like Windows OS) it is also the target of continued malware attacks. We get anywhere from 5 to 50 unauthorized login attempts each day (usually from eastern Europe). So while that isn't a drawback on the software itself, it is something to consider if you are going to be using wordpress, expect (and be prepared for) people trying to get in.

### "It's the gold standard for a reason"

November 5, 2019

5.0

I am a longtime small business owner. I have used both third party platforms and wordpress and love wordpress. It is user friendly so it is easy to ramp up your own skills, both so you can be an educated buyer of website services and so you can make some changes on your own. But by choosing wordpress you know you have flexibility and capabilities you need so you won't run into large issues.

Pros

Total flexibility. Selecting Wordpress, you can do whatever you need to. You're not tied to any third party platforms or technology.

Cons

Since the software itself is free, you would think it would be low cost, but your cost comes in the developer time. However, if you take the time to educate yourself you can minimize that and buy developer time wisely.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Far superior, flexibility, no risk to your domain by tying yourself to a third party. With wordpress you own your site outright and can take it anywhere.

### "There are better CMS tools out there"

September 4, 2021

3.0

I switched to Wix years ago and one of the main reasons is that WordPress felt outdated. Moreover, as compared to Wix, its design is a little complicated to navigate through (or maybe you don't feel like navigating through it because of its interface). All in all, I find WordPress only average and only ideal for someone new or irregular to blogging.

Pros

WordPress is one of the first blog writing websites. It goes without saying that it has really made blogging an easy and popular medium of expression among the masses. It was a go-to blog site for anyone who wished to start blogging a few years ago. But honestly, in today's time and age, there are better blog sites out there, offering far more advanced features. However, its simple and neat interface is still liked by many. For someone new at blogging, it is fairly easy to navigate through the website and get used to its features. And most importantly, the ability to know exactly how your blog/website will look once it is published is supreme!

Cons

As mentioned above, there are better alternatives out there. In 2021, WordPress doesn't really feel 2021, hence feels a little outdated especially in terms of its interface and design. Its free plan is okay for a newbie but for a professional, there aren't many helpful features in the free version and the paid version isn't exactly worth it.
