### "Easy to learn and use for anyone"

June 27, 2018

5.0

I make a living creating WordPress sites for businesses. It benefits me to be able to easily apply the tools learned here and teach my clients how to maintain their own website. It also opened up the remote work option I did not have before.

Pros

It is so flexible. I can design a blog, a corporate site, a membership site and so many more. The plugin options are endless and it is extremely easy to learn the coding needed to create and manipulate any theme or design.

Cons

The standard security they offer is not enough. Without adding additional layers of security, your website could easily be compromised by a talented blackhat.

### "WordPress is the best platform for Websites"

October 16, 2018

4.0

I use WordPress for my blog and I have loved every experience. I shifted from a common blogging platform to WordPress to have access to more features and themes and I've gotten just that from WordPress.

Pros

WordPress is very easy to navigate. There are a lot of features which make an experience with it amazing. I set up my blog in less than an hour! It's loaded with amazing and beautiful themes, both free and premium.

Cons

There are two platforms in regards to WordPress which makes it confusing at first. The (WordPress.org) isn't free like the other,(wordpress.com). The wordpress.com isn't open to monetization.

### "great for online magazine editing, blogging"

December 3, 2018

4.0

the magazines i write for like specific layouts that wordpress cannot often handle, but i usually get as close to the results i need as possible. it's been a productive experience with wordpress.

Pros

i wrote for a hip hop magazine and a film review magazine that were based online, and served as a writer for one and a section editor for the other and had the opportunity to experience wordpress from a user's and administrator's perspective. outside of a few hiccups, using it is seamless.

Cons

the software is, more often than not, unresponsive to specific inputs, which hurts when i need to make quick edits to articles.

### "Perfect for building websites, with a minimum of coding needed"

March 5, 2019

4.0

We have been able to build a simple website for our customers to find the necessary information (text) and to be able to sign up to our school online. We use the formular tool a lot, because this way we can help our customers to sign up and we can view all of the details we requested from them.

Pros

I like that WordPress allows people to build and administrate websites without having to spend a huge amount of hours learning html coding e.g. It is easy to implement a theme and build/administrate simple websites with WordPress. The options are endless, because of all the different themes that are possible to implement together with all the plug-ins available.

Cons

With some themes, there will be challenges in building the exact website wanted. Sometimes we have been feeling like hitting a dead end, when it comes to customizing our website. The customizing tools can be made even better, but I know that this is also something that the different theme makers can influence a lot on.

### "The easiest way to create a website"

December 3, 2019

5.0

I have created many web pages with Wordpress and the truth has been great, it is very easy to use and my clients like the ease with which they can publish and edit any publication.

Pros

Wordpress is very easy to use and design a website that represents your business or personal blog, the tools it offers are very good, and the templates can be found for free if you search well on the internet, it also has a system of add-ons that will help you To get a professional website without even knowing web programming.

Cons

The only bad thing I see is that they update a lot and sometimes this causes errors to your website.

### "Infinitely Adaptable"

January 14, 2020

5.0

Whenever I need a website, Wordpress is the only choice I consider because it can be made as individual as I or my customers are. Existing themes are suitable for all kinds of websites and if you can't find a theme to adapt then there are numerous people out there who can create a bespoke solution for you. Wordpress is THE go-to platform for designing websites and, because of that, there are always people using it, experimenting with aspects of it and innovating with it. This makes it the platform on the cutting edge of website creation.

Pros

I love how adaptable Wordpress is. Whatever you can conceive of Wordpress can be configured to give you.

Cons

It is still 'technical' in the sense that newbies have to learn the rules of using it, there is a learning curve and for non-technical people that learning curve is steep but worth it. Wordpress isn't as intuitive as it could be, but it is getting there as time goes by.

Alternatives considered

[Wix](https://www.capterra.com/p/169007/Wix/)

Reason for choosing WordPress

Because Wix came across as limited and Wordpress doesn't. Wix is probably fine for people for whom a website is merely a digital showroom but for someone who is involved with on-line marketing and who wishes the website to grow with the business it has to be Wordpress.

### "Best Tool for Creating Website Without Coding "

November 25, 2019

5.0

When talking about an overall experience, I recommend WordPress to every individual who wants to run a website. Every person can make a site without any knowledge of coding. You can make your website for any purpose such as portfolio, eCommerce, blog, organization or business, etc.

Pros

The features I like the most about WordPress is its Plugins and Ease of Use. There are a lot of free plugins that offer different functionalities. Also, there are amazing templates that anyone can use. Anyone can create a website on WordPress without having coding knowledge. I'm a content writer, and I have to upload my work daily on WordPress, and I found it quite effortless.

Cons

There is nothing much that I don't like about this tool. But, sometimes, when the WordPress version updates, you must be cautious about your website update as it can crash. Also, occasionally, it does not update the things according to your instructions. You must have Backup.

### "WordPress Is Perfect For Scaling"

February 18, 2021

5.0

We have used WordPress for many years, having tested many other platforms, in terms of reliability and in terms of SEO, WordPress works for any scaling company.

Pros

As a user of WordPress I definitely recommend this platform for small to medium sized companies who are looking to scale.

Cons

For ecommerce WordPress can lag in performance unless you have the experience to fully optimize it. In terms of ecommerce websites there are features that are not available unlike other platforms that are designed specifically for online shops.

### "The world runs on websites....WordPress allows you to take part easily and quickly"

February 9, 2021

5.0

I need to create and manage multiple websites. WordPress allows me to use the same concepts across a variety of needs. WordPress allows me to bring almost any idea I have to life!

Pros

WordPress was SUPER EASY to get up and running in my environment. Additionally, because of its ubiquity, there are a ton of resources to use and a ton of features that you can implement into your website!

Cons

The only real downside to WordPress is that there is a little bit of a learning curve and there is SO much available that it can feel overwhelming.

Pros

### "Wordpress is excellent"

October 13, 2020

5.0

I have over a decade of experience building websites via WordPress.

Pros

The ease of use and quick set up is phenomenal. I use it for my agency now and am able to do a range of customization at will.

Cons

Security is always an issue. With wordpress being the most used CMS in the world, it has a ton of security flaws that must be countered using proper plugins.

### "DIY Customizable Website Builder"

April 5, 2019

5.0

Pros

Wordpress is very customizable with the features and functionalities you choose to utilize. It can be very basic (what I need) or more complex/in-depth. The website is always quick to load and you can create a back-up of the site. There is also a very large database of tutorials and information to do it all yourself.

Cons

It is necessary to have some knowledge of coding to troubleshoot different Wordpress issues because it is an open-source site, meaning no one actually owns it. It could be a little more affordable to have a higher level of security from hackers.

### "Full-Fledged Website Kitchen"

April 22, 2019

5.0

WordPress is a must website creation kick-starter for a student, a plumber, a pilot, a businessman, anyone can create a professional and gorgeous website. And for coding geeks, its the best developed playground to play on. WordPress community has just given the world a great opportunities to have websites people once dreamed for.

Pros

I created my first website using WordPress, and I cannot believe my dream of becoming a Web developer relived and I was paid for creating that website. The tools, accessibility, third-party plugin installation, free themes, in-built easy-to-code CSS editor, admin panel and dashboard everything is just amazing and free to create a website in a matter of minutes! WordPress is the extremely user friendly and customization CMS out there and due to its huge popularity, I would say its worth for its popularity. Its free and gives you a highly secure website management interface. Anyone can create a website who does not even no how to code HTML, CSS, or javascript whatsoever.

Cons

WordPress has a little security loophole. If someone knows the email and password to login the wordpress control panel in /wp-admin, then they can do anything with the website. Secondly, the third party plugins could sometimes be the culprit behind it. But due to the recent upgrades of WordPress, security patches have proved to be very responsive to such risks.

### "Easy and simple to use with a great result"

October 10, 2018

5.0

I have used WordPress for multiple websites across multiple companies and charities. It has always been very easy to use and set up, with the themes allowing totally different looks. Something that is very useful is the ability to export and import the entire website with a plugin - this has saved many hours when moving hosts.

Pros

It is open source and therefore completely free. Using a plugin, it is possible to completely export and import the entire website to another installation. It has a simplistic and straightforward admin layout. It has many features for quick and easy blogging. Different themes can be used which are very customisable. Multiple users can run the website, with different permissions.

Cons

If you are not blogging and using it instead for a general information website, there are lots of unuseful buttons. The media/image library can become very cluttered if lots of photos and videos are used across the website - there are not many native options for sorting these.

### "Best Website development"

November 3, 2018

5.0

As a developer, most of my clients are satisfied because of the user-friendliness of WordPress.

Pros

WordPress has been improving from time to time, this means, the more it improves the more easier for us developers to ease the development. With thousands of Plugins available it will be the easier way to complete your website functionalities and requirements. The customization has become easier now.

Cons

With rapid updates, some of the plugins that we used to trust have become irrelevant and incompatible with the new system, some updates also causing website to crash, but this is a rare case.

### "Excellent software if you know what you are doing. "

May 13, 2018

5.0

Pros

The ability to create entire websites or web applications built on WordPress. The ease of use getting data from the database because of WordPress's built-in PHP templating functions. The ability for non-coders to slap on a theme and get a site up and running with minimal effort. The amount of free plugins available to extend functionality of your site.

Cons

It can be daunting to try to figure out how to use WordPress as a beginner. There is so much information and so many menus to choose from. It is best to buy a theme that comes with an instruction manual.

### "Pricey & To Busy"

June 24, 2022

3.0

Overall, Wordpresses dashboard is a little hard for a newbie to get around. I’ve used Wordpress in the past for web-design and blogging for sports events and navigation has never seemed this hard. Pricing is outrages compared to e-commerce specific platforms who offer tools. Wordpress does has some free tools and themes to use, but that’s just for basic usage. If you need it for any professional/business needs - I’d for sure seek else where.

Pros

One of the few pros that comes with Wordpress is free blogs, lots of tools, cool themes to use.

Cons

Compared to Wordpress before the world of E-commerce and affiliate marketing came around , Wordpress was very decently priced - even for a hosted domain purchase. It’s just to expensive to use Wordpress for building an e-commerce store.

### "Used and Love WordPress for 10+ Years"

March 3, 2020

5.0

I've used WordPress for over 10 years on countless sites. I've also worked in the WordPress hosting industry. I love it and use it for all the sites I build for clients and for all the sites for my businesses.

Pros

My favorite part of WordPress is how HUGE the user community is. Because of that, there are so many plugins and services that work with WordPress to make it do whatever I want and do it well.

Cons

It can be hard for beginners to use sometimes, especially depending on the theme their using. I've been using it for over a decade, so I'm very comfortable with it, but the admin UI hasn't changed much over time.

### "Setting up new Pages"

November 14, 2018

5.0

Overall i would highly recommend this program to others and will keep using it

Pros

I really like how easy this softwear is to use. I have struggled in the past finding programs that are easy and fully accessible to all my staff. I like the lay out and how i can customize my pages for different people. Being able to add as many pages as i need for different entertainers is a definite bonus

Cons

I can not think of any cons for this program except inserting short codes, if you do not know how to do it, it proves to be very difficult learning. Once you know it though it is a piece of cake
