I have struggled in the past finding programs that are easy and fully accessible to all my staff. I like the lay out and how i can customize my pages for different people. Being able to add as many pages as i need for different entertainers is a definite bonus Cons I can not think of any cons for this program except inserting short codes, if you do not know how to do it, it proves to be very difficult learning. All of my websites, including my stores, use WordPress. It is an easy way to create content with no coding skills. It also has multiple tutorials that will assist you with any solution. Pros I love everything about Wordpress. I can easily create my web pages and blog posts without any prior coding knowledge. I can update my gallery, streamline my RSS feed, find useful plug-ins, and create a store. Most importantly, I am able to create drafts, hide urls, or publish content privately or publicly. I am able to create multiple users and also redirect links when needed. The app is also user-friendly, but it does not have everything as the desktop version. Cons It can look a bit overwhelming at first, however, once you watch a tutorial, wordpress becomes easy to understand, edit content, and customize your website. It's easy to set up a website, add code and widgets. Because it's very popular, it's easy to find content, templates et tips on how to run a WP website. Cons The only thing I dislike about wordpress is how difficult it is to get customer support. Luckily it's a very popular CMS so we often get lucky searching for answers on various forums and corners of the internet but sometimes you need a quick, straight answer from support and you can't. It provides the interface and platform with ready to use features, for example, categories, posts, sections etc. that help to build a website very easily. It has helped me build websites and post blogs instantly saving major time on coding and scripting for the basic functionalities. It provides all options to customize the UI for the website, set header and footer, upload media elements and choose among paid and free templates. I personally prefer the Newspaper theme, though it is paid, but a value for money. Among the other website builder tools like Wix, Weebly, and other such competitors, I prefer Wordpress because of the extensive flexibility and numerous features it provides. The support for 3rd party plugins and in-built plugins takes this platform to the next level, making it the most preferred builder. Cons Themes are pretty expensive but a value for money. Support takes long to revert back! Haven't found much cons as such, overall a great product! Having control of my website not only allows me to do what is needed quickly and efficiently. It allows me to hand over control to other people. My HR Department, can post and edit jobs to our website without needing my assistance. This frees up my time to accomplish more tasks on my own, while allowing the HR Department the freedom of control to not have to wait for my schedule to free up for me to help them. It's a win-win! Pros Coming up from an HTML background, website design and specifically changes to the website was a skill that required true knowledge of how write in a different language. WordPress has changed the game. Do you know how to use Word? How to write an email? Congratulations! You are qualified to create and edit a website. WordPress is super simple to use, but the possibilities are endless. You can create beautiful designs that are pretty complex with only a rudimentary understanding. If you are tired of paying a web-design company a large some of money every time they process a change to your website, get it convertted to WordPress, and you can take control without the need of an expensive company - and THAT is the biggest pro of WordPress. Cons While easy to use and simple to figure out, there are some intuitive commands that are lacking. Simple features when editting, such as underlining, adding bullets, font typeface, paragraph control are more complicated then they need to be. Microsoft, using Word established where these commands should be found, WordPress obviously in an attempt to make themselves different, chose to put these commands in a different location, which makes the process less intuitive. This is really splitting hairs, as everything else is excellent. We have had great success in getting completely new employees to become efficient managers for our domains. Cons The reliance on Jetpack is a real pain point for us. Even after so many years, Jetpack keeps having new issues each time it is updated. WordPress should really come up with a more secure solution for this. It would not be our first choice as a development company, we spend more time fixing issues and updates than we do actually creating new function for the clients websites. It is a good blogging platform that has everything you need out of the box. it fairly easy to use although the menu layout of the dashboard is confusing and you keep losing stuff. Cons WordPress has become so popular due to all its plugins. This is a major issue, out of the box you will need to keep on top of the endless security updates. Once you start adding plugins this get worse, WordPress gives an update then the plugins will updating. From a user point of view the dashboard is like a game a hide and seek. Setting are all over the place in different pages. Each plugin tends to have it own setting and this just adds to the menu clutter.
