### "The industry standard - making your website dreams a reality"

November 24, 2020

5.0

I use WordPress virtually every day as part of my job. It took me a long time to get comfortable with it, and I’m still no developer, but I love working with WordPress to create websites my clients love. The versatility is just amazing, I can’t begin to describe everything this tool can do.

Pros

There’s a reason WordPress has been considered the industry standard for websites for so long. The software is extremely versatile. I’ve seen it used to build websites for clients in virtually any industry. Because third-party plug-ins are so readily available, there is a solid customization option for nearly every website function a business owner could think of.

Cons

Because it is so popular, it is also vulnerable to hackers. A good security plugin is a must. WordPress can also be difficult to learn to use, especially for those who don’t have a background in coding. Get a good front-end builder like WP-Bakery, though, and you’ll be able to figure out a great deal. If you still need help, consult a professional.

### "I have built several websites using WordPress. Learning curve not too bad with their tools. "

August 1, 2018

5.0

Pros

The is widely used all over the world and for every imaginable use. With that comes armies of developers and programmers as well as designers who work on making it better and easier to use for the not too tech-savvy folks like myself. Due to the variety of people using it and for the diverse purposes there are custom tools or plugins that can be easily installed that adds very useful and specific functions to your site.

Cons

There is still a bit of a technical barrier but it certainly is not impossible. One just needs to spend some quality time using it.

### "Best CMS solution"

January 10, 2019

5.0

Pros

1\. It's like a Swiss Army Knife of web development. You can build any website with WordPress; e-commerce, blog, agency, etc. 2. Customer support is amazing. The developers help you with all issues you might have 3. If you have Jetpack for WordPress then you get automated backups which is a great feature 4. A huge selection of free and premium themes allows you to personalize the site to a great extent

Cons

Nothing really. Everything is great. As a developer, I wished though that WordPress move away from PHP to a more advanced backend language like Node or Go

### "This is my favorite way to build a website!"

January 12, 2017

5.0

I love Wordpress! The prices are amazing, and I love that it's so user-friendly. I love DIY and figuring out how to make something look great without paying a lot of money. WordPress has been perfect for me. Every once in a while I run into a frustrating glitch, but that's few and far-between. I tried several other services with pre-made layouts and such, and I much prefer designing my own site on WordPress. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it's not bad - I'm not a techie and have no experience in web-building, but I was able to figure things out. Highly recommended!

Pros

\-User-Friendly -Very Customizable

Cons

\-When I have an issue, it usually takes a couple of days to get it resolved.

### "Great solution for DIY-ers and professionals alike"

February 1, 2019

4.0

I use wordpress for my personal website, as well as for my organization's website. The free version is robust enough to give me what I need for my personal website, and subscriptions cover what my organization needs to collect donations, share information, link to outside agencies, and host all types of media.

Pros

Wordpress is great for my personal website and provides a lot of solutions and easy-to-use plugins for solutions I'd need more programming knowledge for.

Cons

Sometimes plug ins cause issues with my existing version, so I have to be very careful to maintain an archived/updated backup when I make even the smallest edits.

### "Easiest website publishing platform"

May 7, 2018

5.0

Pros

Wordpress is one of the most used platforms to create personal and professional websites easily, and most of the time without even knowing how to code. However, if you know HTML, PHP and CSS you can even implement your own snippets and pages. The huge amount of plugins make Wordpress extremely powerful and and the potential is unlimited

Cons

What I found a bit disappointing about Wordpress is the update system, that often caused plugins to crash or not work anymore. Is should be more backward compatible. Sometimes plugins require a bit of time to be updated

### "Wordpress - "A powerful platform for web content management""

October 13, 2022

5.0

Pros

Wordpress provides an easy access to its users to various features to create a website or blog very easily. The various plug-ins available makes the user interface very convenient and easy to use. One can easily make his/her company grow by creating a web store by using wordpress.

Cons

An amateur may find little difficulty in figuring out the various options in the wordpress dashboard. Very recently wordpress has removed the justify text/paragraph from its toolbar which makes it difficult to align text according to one's convenience

### "An easy way to showcase your business online or build a website."

February 19, 2019

5.0

We have had several successful sales with using our wordpress site. It was free and easy and we can't appreciate it more. We will continue to use it on a daily basis.

Pros

Wordpress in my opinion is great for a couple of things. One is that it is a great tool for building websites! Not just any website, but you can use wordpress to build an online store type site, you can use it to build a membership website, there are a lot of options. For us, we use it to showcase our retail moving products that are associated with our storage facility. customers are directed to the site where they can purchase products and have them shipped. I know that you can also use wordpress for membership sites as well. The second best thing about wordpress, and more what it was originally used for is blogging. It's a great way to set up your weblog and have a nice design. People can comment on it and it's a really great tool for an online journal. The best part about wordpress is that it is a free source and anyone can download it.

Cons

It can be tricky to get the websites right. I have never done it before using wordpress and even though I was a novice, I was able to satisfactorily create the site and put it online. I was very happy with the results and it didn't take up too much of my time. Overall I would highly recommend the program.

### "Endless functionality for website creation. "

November 29, 2018

5.0

Definitely recommend to the semi-skilled and higher skill level folks.

Pros

I love that the options are nearly endless and it's a very open ended platform for building a website. I swear I'm always finding new things that can be done to the site and new tools and cool new plugins. It is a bit more advanced for some but there are toned down options as well.

Cons

Sometimes it can be SO open-ended that it may be a bit confusing. Editing websites can sometimes feel like a huge task for someone who is not an expert. But the options are so endless it's hard to not choose WordPress.

### "Wordpress Review"

I feel good using wordpress but the speed is kind of a problem. The average user will not stay olong until the website is loaded, therefore I sometimes might loose customers.

Pros

Wordpress came in handy, while creating a webiste for my business. The ease of use, functionalities, amazing tools free and paid, and many more awesome features.

Cons

The websites designed is really heavy, it takes a long time to load than a normal html website with the same design.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Wordpress was the best according to google. And it was free.

### "Wordpress as a Website Maker"

I myself have multiple sites running on Wordpress , I had Some issues on different points but they were not that difficult to fix. Overall WordPress is Great Website builder Especially Blogs and Ecommerce.

Pros

The Most useful Feature is that any person with basic knowledge about internet and computer can learn wordpress very quickly . WordPress \*does not\* require programming knowledge. but if having coding skills can boost wordpress.

Cons

Wordpress is easy to use but yet easy to hack also. Malware can come from plugins and themes.

### "Most Used CMS For a Reason"

September 6, 2018

4.0

Pros

One the main challenges of using a content management system is selecting one that offers sufficient customization while still being easy to use. WordPress offers a fine balance between these two extremes. By using the robust catalog of templates, even a non-technical user can create a fully featured website.

Cons

Even though using templates to create basic websites is easy, customizing a site to achieve the distinction required by many businesses can be challenging and might require a skilled professional depending on the level of customization needed.

### "An Adventure in Building A Website"

November 1, 2018

5.0

Pros

There are tons of web builders out there, but it’s getting harder and harder to catch up to WordPress. Thanks to the vast community of users, WordPress’ customizability is second to none. With the theme you can set the look and feel of your site, with the plugins you can add virtually any feature that you want. And you can switch between themes anytime and turn on/off any plugin according to your needs.

Cons

Switching theme means recalibrating your site. And sometimes this recalibrating task is no walk in the park. Too many plugins also means slow site.

### "Wordpress review"

May 9, 2019

5.0

My overall experience with the wordpress software is quite superb and I would say it is unmatched with any other blogging software I have ever used as a blogger with above five years experience in the field

Pros

I love the ease of use such that people without the prior knowledge of HTML and CSS can now open their websites with one click installation and have their websites up and running in no time. This software also makes it easy for people who wished to start a small business online to do well with their businesses and not waste all their resources building a website manually and also the software provides for almost 70% of worldwide blogs due to its ease of use.

Cons

The free platform which is wordpress.com do not give users the full customized features just like the blogger.com platform does. You could not install some plugins and also you cannot customize your website the way you needed it and worst of all is you might end up ranking lesser for search results than ever before.

### "The Smartest Choice for Business Websites"

March 26, 2019

5.0

I love it. I have been using WordPress since 2010 and it is an amazing platform for business website, click-funnels and more.

Pros

The recent updates to the WordPress dashboard have been amazing. There are millions of certified plugins that work with WordPress, for every kind of automation and every niche business sector. From e-commerce, to product or service marketing, B2B or B2C, WordPress is our go-to resource for creating visually engaging websites.

Cons

I would like to see a little more user friendly editing for CSS. Some of the features (such as site identity) can be sticky.

### "Great Program"

March 25, 2020

Overall Wordpress is one of the best site builders.

Pros

I like the freedom to create and add custom code to my site that doesn't interfere with templates like other website host.

Cons

Some of the plugins don't properly work with your site and after building site it's hard to change plugin without disturbing site function.

### "Wordpress Appreciation"

November 20, 2020

Steep learning curve at the beginning as you need to learn a lot about web hosting and other technicalities but from there everything gets easier. It has changed my life and increased my earning ability. I've created four ecommerce businesses using WordPress and learning how to use it is the most important skill I've acquired over the past 4 years.

Pros

Versatile, flexible with limitless options to create a website of your choice. WordPress is to the internet what Microsoft was to Personal Computing. You can create any type of website with ease.

Cons

WordPress sites are vulnerable to hacking, attacks and spamming and often you only learn this once you've been attacked. More should be done for security.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Had better reviews and was more widely used.

### "I've been blogging with WordPress for four years and it keeps getting better!"

October 24, 2018

5.0

I love using WordPress! It is very easy to use and easy to learn.

Pros

I am a blogger and a part-time designer. I've been using WordPress since I started and it never fails to amaze me. It's so easy to use and I can personalized every website to my liking. It is free to download and anyone can access it and start making a website. There are endless ways to customize my websites! There's so many available themes. I can choose for a free or premium/paid theme. They are also responsive and mobile friendly! Oh and there are lots of plugins too! Making a website with WordPress is a breeze. WordPress is not just for bloggers, business owners and freelancers can use them too! It is a software for everyone that wants a website of their own!

Cons

WordPress is kinda heavy and if I used a heavier theme and lots of plugins, they can really slow down my website. Also, the login redirect loop keeps on bugging me. But both of these problems can be fixed easily.

### "Easy-to-use but powerful!"

October 16, 2018

5.0

About 70% of visits to our children's theater company website are via cellphones, so we were thrilled to move forward with a mobile-friendly site but even more thrilled when it has turned out to be not only attractive but extraordinarily easy to use and versatile. I highly recommend WordPress!

Pros

Switching to WordPress was a huge step for our small NFP company looking for an upgrade to mobile-friendly. It turned out to be a great choice with its real-time design feature and Divi Builder modules. Our programmer found the perfect template and built the customized site and turned it over to us and we've been going strong ever since with almost no hiccups ever. Part of our homepage is set up for posts in blog-style, but otherwise as regular content pages that can also be password-protected. I've saved buttons with links in the Divi Library to pull out whenever needed along with whole-page templates. HTML adjustment is available on the "Text" tab in Divi, which is really handy. Our programmer was even able to integrate our online registration and database into the site.

Cons

I wasn't able to get the look I wanted from the built-in slider, so I installed a Smart Slider plug-in which was perfect.

### "What's not to love?! It's Wordpress - and it does everything!"

May 19, 2018

5.0

Pros

I started designing websites in 1996 by hand - using only Notepad. I pretty much kept doing this until I discovered Wordpress, more than a decade later. To say it's the best is an understatement. The best part is that it's so easy, I can quickly train the people I create websites for on how to update their sites themselves.

Cons

There's not much to not like. With all the themes, plugins, and regular core updates, Wordpress does everything I need. Since I have to choose something, I would say that I least like ... um ... sorry, can't do it! It's the best!

### "User-Friendly Platform For Any Working Professional"

February 1, 2019

5.0

"Valuable" is the best word to describe my overall experience with WordPress. I use it to keep my portfolio up to date. My clients and I collaborate on their WordPress pages easily. Setting up an affordable domain name was easy. Customer support is fairly helpful. It's overall the best choice for any working professional, in my opinion.

Pros

WordPress has a simple user interface; even those who are new to website building can learn quickly. There's plenty of website layout options no matter what you're aiming for. For example, I have a clean and simple site for a portfolio. I've also used WordPress for an interactive beauty blog. It's really a "something for everyone" platform.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind that I dislike. If I had to pick a least favorite feature, it'd be that copy/pasting text from another platform can be a bit messy. The formatting from Google Docs doesn't always carry over correctly and requires a little editing. This isn't a big deal, but it's worth noting.

### "Easy Website Builder"

June 21, 2019

5.0

I have created two websites with WordPress. One is a technology blog that I use for my line of work. It has been easy to create blog posts as well as link other resources that I curate. I have also created a website for my wife's food blog. I was able to use a premium theme that suited her needs as well as a plugin for recipes. So far, she has found it to be an easy to use platform now that the website is set up.

Pros

Wordpress offers a lot more functionality than other web design companies. While you can create simple web sites using their free versions and templates, you can customize it even further with purchased templates, self-designed templates, and plugins.

Cons

It can be a bit difficult to learn. When designing my site, I had some different widgets that I wanted to get rid of. It would have been great to be in an editor and select the widget from my webpage view and have it identified. Instead, I had to remove what I thought it might be, save, and refresh the page to see if it worked.

### "The Power of WordPress"

April 23, 2019

5.0

Easy to scale, easy to use, and very broad in its applications.

Pros

Owning my own website and having it hosted on my own server is the best! It is very powerful, and a lot can be done without knowing any code. And if I do need more tower, I can hire a developer. The broad range of scalable power is wonderful.

Cons

It would be nice to have more "guardrails", but I understand that would weaken the platform.
