### "Been Using For years- Very Happy"

October 19, 2018

5.0

I've loved using Wordpress and will continue to do so. It's a great tool regardless of the reason you're using it.

Pros

I've used Wordpress for my own blog(s) and while writing for others using this platform. It's easy to use, comes with a variety of free themes you can customize and it's great for beginners to more advanced site owners. I love that you can customize everything, including the role of specific people (i.e. writer/editor/admin/subscriber, etc). It's easy to upload a theme, customize it and manually add whatever plugins you need to keep things running smoothly and in line with your style. You can change your design as often as you'd like as the themes that do come with a cost are usually pretty reasonable. New plugins come along constantly and you can choose them right from your WP dashboard where you'll see reviews, downloads and whether or not they're routinely updated. You also get a "preview" feature that allows you to see how your site is coming along as you design it (before publishing). Wordpress updates itself pretty frequently so you always have the most efficient version. Overall, this is an excellent way to build just about any type of website for your unique needs. Whether it's for personal or business reasons, it's come a long way and only continues to grow and expand.

Cons

So far, I'm not experiencing any cons. I guess I would suggest that WP has some videos in the dashboard that walk the user through specific issues (such as changing something that isn't in the theme's default format).

### "Need a Website choose Wordpress"

December 6, 2020

4.0

The overall experience with wordpress is that I like to use wordpress explore with it. I always want to gain more knowledge in wordpress. Even I research for more plugins with good functionality. As I think it has less high quality functionality but we have to make it good functionality.

Pros

I like the most in wordpress is it is easy to use. Even the client can do the editing in wordpress. We have to not learn more to use the wordpres. It takes less time to learn. The best thing is that you can use for ecommerce websites also.

Cons

The least I like in this is that it is quite less secure to use. We have to make it secure which is difficult. The another thing is that we cannot get good plugins in free which has good fuctionality like food ordering websites and ticket booking websites.

Reason for choosing WordPress

I choose wordpres because it is easy to use and also uses the less space. The installatio. and building of website is often easy. The another thing is you get all the options free.

### "Simple yet Effective Blog Site"

October 7, 2021

5.0

Pros

WordPress is effective for its audience's needs: a simple site builder that lets one publish blogposts. The templates and aesthetic options are better than those for Wix or Weebly, and the interface is much simpler and much more powerful than the competition. What more, WordPress sites are not counted as spam by many sites, unlike Weebly or Wix.

Cons

It needs more options regarding aesthetics, such as font and color palettes.

### "Best Open Source product example"

December 8, 2019

5.0

I overall suggest the usage of Wordpress either if you're new to the PHP world ( as well as to development ), but even if you're a seasoned PHP developer. You definitely will make yourself comfortable in this ecosystem as it's not destructive and still very much sandboxed, even if it's not making usage of the latest PHP functionalities like namespaces, OOP, etc.

Pros

Wordpress is a very well-known Blogging platform, but today can also be considered as a very mature CMS product where you can build anything on top of it. I've personally used this to build an ecommerce using WooCommerce and will not regret this decision ever. Its modularity as well as its broad usage across developers definitely make this platform so appealing as well as very easy to maintain in the long term.

Cons

Wordpress is also unfortunately known for its security issues, although to my knowledge the team behind the software always does their best in fixing those. Perhaps as a developer one thing I don't really like much about Wordpress is that as of today, the platform is still written using functional approach, rather than OOP ( Object oriented programming ). Although if this is something it doesn't discourage you, then feel free to ignore this cons feedback!

### "Wordpress review"

November 6, 2020

5.0

I am huge fan of Wordpress and I consider it to be the world's most integrated and fast evolving Content Management system. I use it regularly for all my sites, blogs and WooCommerce shops. I would definitely recommend it to any administrator and end-user.

Pros

I enjoy the fact that Wordpress is very frequently updated and enriched with new cutting edge features. I also enjoy the fact that it supports a multitude of plugins (both free and paid) covering a wide range of applications and thus making Wordpress a very flexible and extensible framework. It is based on open technologies (PHP) and supported by all major web hosting providers as well as by Wordpress.com as an additional hosting option.

Cons

I think more work can be done to improve the ease of use of Wordpress built-in editor. I would like to see it being as close to a standard document editor experience, such as Microsoft Word or Libre/Open Office.

### "WordPress, construction of a fast and light site."

October 23, 2018

4.0

In my experience, I have a lot of time to devote to Wordpress and it really is profitable, the facility to build websites and to manage them, add content, create stores, anything you can really think of, is very broad. In my case I tried to save the most money and with a good sense of aesthetics you can make excellent pages with little money, is something in which I will continue to invest my time and money, wordpress is worth it.

Pros

Wordpress is a very easy to use platform, its excellent interface is very intuitive and presents multiple editing options in different ways. The amount of plugins it has makes it a very easy platform to customize at our full disposal. Each element has options for improvement, has a high facility to build websites large and small, of any theme. It has many personalities, it is multifaceted. It is really a platform worth using and learning.

Cons

Being so generic one encounters some limitations when it comes to customizing our website. Wordpress, although it has a wide range of topics, the relationship between costs and image are sometimes not favorable. But this problem arises when what you are going to do is too specific or you don't have a lot of time or money to buy themes that adapt very well to what you need.

### "Ease of creating pages and post with custom features no coding required"

January 30, 2023

5.0

No coding require to built a website, its really a cool platform to publish posts with drag and drop functionality make it more flexible. Amazing and powerful platform to manage the website dynamically.

Pros

Content management, creating own website by using in-built templates or themes as per niche and make it live is very simple by choosing domain name. User interface is fast and easy to access even integration with third party tools is simple to get deep insights and much more.

Cons

With more apps or plugins it may increase or effect the website loading speed. Moreover, there is always a high risk rate of attacks due to open source platform.

### "An Easy to Use Website Builder"

November 24, 2020

4.0

I have been using WordPress for over 2 years now and love how I can have my own space on the web to call all my own. It has given me the option to customize it as I want it and for that I love it. I would really recommend it for beginners and also for seasoned web developers who want to host their own domains.

Pros

What I like about WordPress is that it is free to use until you want to upgrade to your own domain name and hosting. It is easy to customize your website with the different themes and plugins on offer and is also SEO friendly and very easy to manage. I also love that it is a very safe and secure site to use. I found it very easy to start my blog with it and the site also help to bring traffic to your site from other users.

Cons

As with everything, WordPress is not perfect and has its disadvantages. Because you are in charge with your website, you still need to do your own backing up and you are also responsible for your security. Even though you can automate these tasks, they still need your attention. It does not come with a drag and drop option so you have to change and customize your website manually but you can add a plugin to utilize drag and drop. Some features are not easy to find but you eventually do find them.

### "Best blogging tool, but insecure"

October 9, 2020

4.0

It is our tool of choice to develop a website, for own and for clients. Very easy installation via CPanel (Softaculous), very easy to add features (Online store, contact forms, etc.). We are happy but worried about the possibility to be hacked anytime.

Pros

It has a lot of customization options. Free and paid plugins and themes. Many features to use on many different business and uses.

Cons

Very insecure! Constantly under attack, we administer about 30 websites and even with many security plugins, like Succuri, WordFence, etc., we have security issues and a few hacked sites every few months.

Reason for choosing WordPress

First of all it's free. It has a great community to support via forums. On the Internet are an unlimited sites with support, and is very easy to setup a great website using a few templates and plugins.

### "Wordpress is still the easiest website builder out there"

February 21, 2019

4.0

I've learned that when you sign up and load wordpress on many popular hosts that after about 3-6 months your site becomes "infected" and of course Sitelock jumps in to offer you "site protection" with their special tools - at an additional cost. Even if you clean the site and do other things to "remove" the problem, Sitelock will refuse to verify the security of the site so you either have to buy their protection, or find a new host. Chances are the new host will do the same.

Pros

I like that it's so well-known and used. There are websites that let you build a basic website with greater ease and less technical skill, but when it comes to a good, solid, adaptable website builder it's hard to beat WordPress for the learning curve and flexible features, the number of great templates, and community.

Cons

I hate that it's so hard to find a template that will autoload or auto fill the theme. You HAVE to know something about computers and software and be technically oriented to learn wordpress. It may not be as difficult as Joomla or other software, but it's not an easy thing to pick up unless you've had a lot of experience with website building, code, HTML and other tech skills. To get and keep it working you've got to be dedicated to learning wordpress.

### "Lo encontrarás en todos lados"

August 22, 2023

5.0

Pros

### "CMS that changed Website Development"

October 10, 2021

5.0

My overall experience has been great as I have been developing most of my client websites in WordPress. I have been doing customizations and making plugins with wordpress. It's hard to imagine website development without it.

Pros

WordPress has been a revolution in website development. It is one of the pioneers of CMS. It is easy to use and manage. We have a lot of plugins freely available that can be easily installed by a layman as well. WordPress is great for blogs as well as business websites. Woocommerce has made life easy by making an e-commerce website in few clicks. I love working with WordPress and the documentation for customizing WordPress is super easy because of the APIs and hooks that are provided.

Cons

I think WordPress needs to work on built-in security as well because viruses can easily attack WordPress and it needs to be secured by using plugins and the latest techniques.

### "Build your First website with WordPress"

April 5, 2023

4.0

for anyone who wants to build their first website, WordPress has a free option with many features and templates. It is just simply click and drag. no need learn any languages.

Pros

WordPress is available in multiple languages and offers excellent support for multilingual websites, making it ideal for global businesses. Themes are mobile-responsive, which means that your website will look great and function seamlessly on all devices, including smartphones and tablets. With plugins like WooCommerce, WordPress can be used to create and manage e-commerce websites. It can be easily integrated with third-party services like Google Analytics and social media platforms.

Cons

With a large number of plugins and themes, WordPress can sometimes have slow page speed. Plugins can sometimes conflict with each other, causing issues with website functionality. It largely depends upon third-party plugins which might be a disadvantage.

### "Best for majority of industries"

April 27, 2021

5.0

Love working with WordPress and i suggest it to all organizations.

Pros

Very customizable and fits most small to medium size companies. Many major companies are/can using it and if they dont, thats because they would go to completely custom solution. Major charges are one time off and is super user friendly, especially compared to other platforms. Its an open source, which means solutions to any kind of problems or customizations can be found easily, which also means the cost is significantly reduces (again comparing to other platforms)

Cons

Updates need to be monitored regularly and for big organizations with sensitive data security needs to be taken into consideration as worm holes are being discovered by hackers (or others) which could cause some data breach. But if you take the right measurements, security should not be an issue

Reason for choosing WordPress

Because of the extensive customization, being open source and the cost for the client

### "Create, communicate and manage easily!"

May 8, 2019

5.0

Wordpress is a platform designed to create personal blogs in a basic and simple way, especially since it is free and there is a great advantage when considering savings for your company ... It is a fast and efficient solution for those who seek to have a personal space as a blog where you can describe your opinions, thoughts or any other content that you consider appropriate, including as a catalog for simple sales that links to other applications is very useful. However; it is not a solution designed for complex digital projects such as a website with certain features, an online store or any other type of web page that contains certain programming features.

Pros

Its source code is accessible by anyone, which can be shared and modified to contribute to its development; that is, it is "open source". It's free, it allows you to download it without having to pay a dollar for downloading the source code. All the resources that WordPress offers are free, including: the core (your source code), thousands of templates of designs to decorate your website, along with thousands of plugins. Setting up WordPress is simple, it only requires filling a couple of data such as the name of the site, the general slogan that will be used, the email, and you will be ready to continue working on your site. One of the features that most caught my attention was the migration of hosting, has simple ways to migrate to other web hosting providers.

Cons

Limited changes in the web page, since Wordpress allows us to modify texts and images in a relatively comfortable way, but there are certain changes that are not available to the user because they are part of additional codes of the template and we can only change programmatically. In the "Editor" option in Wordpress we can access several layouts and style files to modify some contents of the web page, although if you do not master HTML, CSS, JavaScript or PHP you will have problems when making these changes. It usually leads to load problems in some of its topics because there are plugins that consume many resources. Depending on the subject we use and the hosting where we have hosted the website, the load will be more or less fast.

### "Wordpress is my go-to website building tool"

September 8, 2020

4.0

I currently have 6 websites I publish. My photography was the first to use Wordpress with a photo gallery in 2008. Since then, I have used Wordpress for all my needs. I also have multiple motion picture projects, and those are also run by Wordpress and the exact same theme. Yet all sites look and react differently. Prior to Wordpress, I used an Adobe produce to generate websites and it was difficult to maintain them all. Now, it's really easy. I can have a fully functioning website online within 30 minutes of purchasing the domain.

Pros

It's fantastic. I find it's easy to install, using an installer or even manually. Plug-ins are very important and I use a specific theme to run all my websites. Even using the same theme, all my websites look different.

Cons

I'm not fond of the new Wordpress interface. Gutenberg. Bah. I install a plug-in that allows me to use the editor I'm more familiar with. Gutenberg is difficult for people like myself to quickly compose pages. There needs to be a way to turn this off without using a plug-in

### "great based on the design"

September 20, 2021

4.0

I've created several small to medium-sized blogs for my businesses using Wordpress, and I believe it's the greatest and easiest CMS to use. It also helps because with just simple instruction, clients can simply manage their websites.

Pros

WordPress is built with a fully accessible concept in mind. The main programme is open source and free, and it is backed by a competent community. Because WordPress is very flexible, you can use it to create nearly any type of website. Without a doubt, the finest features are blogging and personalization. Themes abound, as do drag-and-drop page builders to help with customisation. For those looking for something straightforward, this is all excellent material. If you want anything more complicated, there is an infinite supply of designers and developers at your disposal.

Cons

Protection, bloat, and plugins are all issues. There are just too many flaws and far too little monitoring. It's simple but sophisticated all at the same time. The learning curve can be severe, especially if additional customization is required or if troubleshooting is required. Customer service is non-existent, so you go to Google and spend hours researching and trying various "solutions" to the numerous issues that frequently arise. Then you don't know if the problem is with WP, plugins, or a mix of the two. If you are not up to the work, it can be disastrous.

### "Powerful but Not Always Intuitive"

February 22, 2019

4.0

WordPress has become the standard for so many developers and I have seen really fabulous sites come out of it. Too bad it's almost impossible for a non-developer to keep up with the updates, new options and new features without investing an incredible amount of time.

Pros

It's the go-to for many bloggers. As a writer, understanding how to use the basic features has been essential as many clients require that I post directly to the back-end of their sites. It is the standard for so many different sites, and when it is managed well by someone very knowledgeable, certainly seems to do the trick.

Cons

I have found that most of my clients do not actually know how to use it themselves. They have websites built by developers who are very knowledgeable, but once the sites are delivered, they are unable to keep up with the updates and even the new features. It means that initially, websites are awesome, attractive and powerful - but over time I have seen more than one languish. It takes too long to become and stay proficient in WordPress for me, as a contributor, to make the time investment worth it. it's a shame for clients who really want to update and upgrade but can't afford to go back to a developer.
