### "The best tool for bloggers"

August 19, 2021

5.0

My overall experience was good with WordPress. I have created more than 10 blogging and e-commerce sites with help of WordPress. It was very much easy to use most of the plug in to built dynamic and robust sites.

Pros

The best thing is that it does not require deep knowledge of coding to build your site. It's easy to create content for beginners. It has several free themes like Astra which help to create a dynamic and good looking webpage. Very helpful plugins are there which will help you to get started with your journey. Network site feature makes it easy to create multiple sub sites.

Cons

If you install so many plugins then it will slow down you site. To use most of the customization option you may need help of an expert.

### "Very Useful Tool For Webmasters Who Don't Know Coding."

December 21, 2020

4.0

It's a pleasure to use WordPress for a person who does not know to code, all the features are just great. I just enjoy working with WordPress whenever I work on it. I have developed around 3-4 websites up till now and my experience is Good. I think developers at WordPress really care for their users. Wish them best luck.

Pros

The most important Pros of this software according to me is its pricing, when I started I was very happy and amazed to see that this piece of CRM is available free of charge. Though installing the software felt bit hectic or difficult in the beginning as I did not have much knowledge of website designing, it seemed too easy later on as I used it more. Another Pros is the availability of no of plugins that are compatible with WP. There are a huge number of plugins available to make the task of designing websites easier. This CRM software is especially useful for people who don't have any knowledge of coding.

Cons

Although I didn't notice the cons to be more than the pros, still I would like to bring some cons of software to notice here. 1) Change of versions: I personally feel that the newer versions come to faster. I personally feel that by the time I get used to the previous version there is a new version already available this should not be the case. I think they must bring a new version every 3 months or 6 months and not too frequently so that the user gets used to the platform. Or at least they should highlight classic editor for newbies. 2) The security should have 2FA enabled, there should be an email confirmation required when you log in to the platform according to me for more security.

### "The Alpha of Content Management Systems. "

February 19, 2019

3.0

My job entails showing visual content regularly and WordPress allows me to not worry about creating and linking pages, update urls etc and lets me focus on the content. The large offering of sliders, lighhtboxes and gallery plugins is awesome for me as I use a lot of graphics and videos in my posts and pages. I also cherish the archiving engine as it chronologically organises my posts and keeps them accessible easily by date. This helps me during my report writing as i reflect on the past financial year of my work.

Pros

I liked the fact that creating and publishing your content is literally just a few clicks saving lots of time and almost anyone can do it. It is so highly extendable by using plugins from a large community of top notch contributors. If you are technical and understand PHP and other web languages you can even extend it infinitely by editing code directly. I love that it has a large collection of ready made templates that can get your website up and running within minutes. The template system is impressive in that you create content once and interchange between templates with little to no change to your content. I have a lot of content to share but my role is not to develop websites so WordPress allows me to do my core duties of creating and sharing content while still looking like a professional website. I also just love the visual elements and consistent fell that comes with WordPress sites.

Cons

I don't like the installation process which is a bit complicated if you are not very technical. It could use a single click installer but if you endure past this first step, the rewards of time saving, efficiency, simplicity will make it all worth it.

### "Get started with your website !!"

September 6, 2018

I am using WordPress from last 2 years but i feel others tools are better than WordPress. WordPress is very good for those people who have just stared development. But for experienced people i suggest JavaScript and node but if your new once should start with WordPress like i did. Overall it's a OK tool. As technology are developing others tools have came in marketing which are better then WordPress.

Pros

Its very easy to deploy website using WordPress and themes can be customized very easily. Database connectivity is very easy. WordPress is very good for static website. Back-end provided by WordPress is very awesome. It has given many feature like cache clear, SEO and many more related to image and video upload. Admin interface is very easy to understand and one can lean in very less time.

Cons

They don't have proper support for windows infrastructure. If a website is hosted on windows using WordPress it requires a lot of of other application and windows patches. Complex stuffs cant be done on windows using WordPress. We cant host dynamic website using WordPress. Other database like mango and maria don't work properly on WordPress.

### "Gam changer - And changed my life"

September 14, 2021

5.0

Very positive. Created and maintainted over 80 websites.

Pros

Wordpress is basically such an easy way in to the world of web development. It gets a hard time for being so "mickey mouse" and not a serious developer's choice, but it paved the way for me to get into web development, business, SEO, and having my own company.

Cons

Very easy to be hacked I'd say. And, you really are all on your own in the beginning.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Wix looked terrible to work with, and I had heard that too. Other site builders also seemed to not have the support of huge online communities.

### "The Best Content Management System for your blog or website."

December 4, 2018

5.0

Great platform and my main source of income. So I call it my bank.

Pros

When I started my online business, I was looking for a simple platform I could create my website on without knowing how to code and WORDPRESS came through for me. The greatest pro feature for me is the ease of usage. Their platform has made it really simple for anyone to create a blog or functional website. They create great themes and plugins you can integrate to make your website or blog look beautiful and also optimized for search engines. Another key feature us that most of the WordPress themes are responsive, meaning I do not need to worry about my site being mobile friendly or not. They do the job for you.

Cons

I remembered losing one of my website cause I couldn't remember the password and all means to reach the customer support proved abortive. Another issue is that since it is an open source platform, your site is vulnerable to hackers who will do everything to mitigate your efforts. And the ones you install an heavy theme, your loading time and overall site speeds becomes slow.

### "Powerful and free open source platform"

December 4, 2019

5.0

My company uses WordPress to design and develop websites. We use a wealth of plugins and themes to get the job done for ourselves and clients. It's a free solution that saves us a ton of overhead compared to a paid platform – but I think we'd probably go with WordPress regardless.

Pros

My favorite thing about WordPress is that it's open sourced. My second favorite thing about WordPress is the community surrounding it. Put those two things together and you get a product that will continue to grow and improve. Additionally, there are thousands upon thousands of really helpful and useful plugins and themes to help developing / designing on WordPress a breeze.

Cons

WordPress was originally designed to be a blogging platform, so a lot of features out-of-the-box are catered to blogging. Because of this, usability isn't always intuitive. To spin up a website on WordPress definitely takes some knowledge and skill, unlike a Squarespace or Wix where you could hop on and have somethiing up within a few hours. Having said that, once you understand the file structure, codex, and basics, then the opportunities are limitless.

### "WordPress is Becoming the Backbone of the Internet"

December 31, 2018

5.0

I've been using WordPress for over 10 years and it's my go-to for projects.

Pros

If you're looking for a website platform (CMS) with built-in DIY features, but also allows you almost full customization, you can't go wrong with WordPress. Its free theme and plugin libraries are massive. Most of the best third-party features available provide the functionality a beginner needs and can also scale-up to paid premium versions for more robust needs. Whether you want to blog, launch an eCommerce website, or setup a landing destination for your business, you will find everything you need available and ready to go. It also has a huge, dedicated, and very helpful community behind it. Plus, it's free!

Cons

There's definitely a learning curve, like any other CMS. You will need to research your options for themes and plugins. If you're looking for page builders, there's a variety to choose from and they can be very different to work with. Not all theme and plugin developers keep their offerings up-to-date and update conflicts can cause the site not to function if not resolved.

### "A Feature-Rich, High Learning Curve Software"

July 5, 2018

5.0

It has allowed me to create a simple blog, monitor my site statistics, comments, and pages easily, and given me a way to easily update content. Furthermore, it has made the process of design much simpler compared to straight HTML and CSS web editing.

Pros

Wordpress' strength lies in its features. With 1000s of themes, even more plugins, and a number of different tools and settings, Wordpress allows you customize almost everything. It has made handling comments on my web pages a breeze, and updating content is far simpler without having to worry about all the html and css design and style. Furthermore, Wordpress is free to use. On top of that, updates are frequent and new features are constantly being added and tweaked to keep everything up-to-date.

Cons

While there are a ton of different features, to some degree this has backfired into being a little difficult to use. There are a lot of themes, which makes it difficult to choose one. There are multiple different plugins that all do the same thing, but some may have one feature while another may include something else. Because of the free market, choices become harder to make and it is hard to stick with just a few good extras rather than falling into having multiple different themes and plugins. To reach a point where your website is exactly how you want it, you are forced to spend an exorbitant amount of time tweaking all the settings and wading through every single feature. It is a small price to pay for all the customization, but a price none the less. Furthermore, Wordpress is oriented towards blogs. I have tried a couple times to create Wordpress sites that are not necessary purposed for blogs, and it has made it extremely more difficult. This is significantly decreases the usability of Wordpress in other sorts of projects.

### "Great Value, But You Better Be Tech Savvy"

June 5, 2018

5.0

While I use WP daily, I would recommend SquareSpace over WP. I am able to rank faster, have updates that never break, and a smooth quick load versus the 3rd party WP nightmare most often associated with this web platform.

Pros

They have everything you want allowable to be plugged in under one roof, they are the most popular Web Management System out on the market, I've been using them consistently since 2004.

Cons

With that said there are a ton of issues with WordPress. One being no customer service, mostly built by 3rd parties who may or may not update their templates in compliance with the wordpress changes, and the sheer amount of plugins that everyone recommends and pushes will bog down any website to the point that it can fail google's load times, and piss off the end user. So when I use this, I build very light and restrict plug-ins to only those necessary. Speed time and load time are crucial, but subject to 3rd party support for each template or plug-in regardless of where they are located in the country, you are days or weeks before a fix comes. That doesn't help with speed of anything.

### "The best website software you can use - and it is free!"

January 9, 2021

Wordpress allows anyone to start a website. From a simple blog to a v complicated Ecommerce site. Much better than any paid for hosted alternatives.

Pros

The wordpress community works together to continually improve the basic software to run any kind of website. The software is 100% free and together with a huge amount of free and paid for plugins / themes can be used for eccommerce / blogs you name it. There is also a huge network of users. This allows you find a solution to any problem you might have.

### "Pressed For Words"

April 16, 2020

5.0

I love using WordPress because of its well-done format and integration. It's easy on the eyes and hard on the technical errors. The software knows how to prevail.

Pros

The title of this review truly encompasses my impression of WordPress. I'm pressed for words by the way it really resonates with my workflow. As a creative writer and business professional, the software is fluent in literary landing pages. WordPress works really well with how you can present the words you put into sentences and make a visual artwork of it.

Cons

I don't have any negative thoughts towards WordPress because it has been updated constantly to a point of advanced creative writing. It knows how to manage the language you put onto the screen and transform its appearance to appeal more to your audience.

### "Versatile, Highly customizable and it's Free"

May 27, 2018

4.0

As a single web designer, developer, and IT technician, Wordpress has saved me time and money and allows me to build websites for myself or others quickly and easily. In today's time with cloud platform systems and faster domain name services, I am able to build a standard website and have it live to world in less than two hours time from the purchase of a new domain name.

Pros

Wordpress has come a long way and I feel it is the leading platform and framework for building a functional website for an individual up to a small to a midsize group of users. The backend control panel is easy to use, packed with many features that allow the installation of third-party plugins, themes and other software integrations which enhances the capabilities of the website to tailor the website from a simple blog to a complex e-commerce system with automatic drop shipping or product aggregation. The possibilities are endless when it comes to creating a website with Wordpress and the best part is, any type of website can be built by a single novice user which alleviates the need for a freelance web designer or a third party web developing firm that more than likely builds using the Wordpress framework.

Cons

The many plugins and third-party integrations could leave open vulnerabilities to bots, malware, and hackers. There is no built-in protection or security measure to protect the platform itself and all security protection much be installed from a third-party and I feel there should be better security features out of the box.

### "WordPress powers my business. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it is nice to have control"

October 13, 2017

5.0

The biggest benefit I get from WordPress is the power and control to create the web site I had in my mind.

Pros

WordPress is a useful, powerful tool for creating a web presence. The concept is simple enough, but with so many plug ins and themes it does take some time to learn the full potential. Knowing what a program like WordPress is abstracting under the hood makes it pretty amazing it is as easy to learn as it is. There are tons of free and paid themes that have their own quirks, then there are tons of plug ins, as well. Overall, it is a very vital piece of my business. There are now even easier tools that abstract even more of the web site building details, but I like having the control that WordPress affords.

Cons

There isn't a lot not to like. Yes, there is a learning curve to getting sites off the ground, but they can be hosted anywhere and you have a ton of flexibility. WordPress is a mature enough tool that there is a lot of information about how to use it out there, which in itself can be a bit overwhelming. Overall, the Pros far outweigh the Cons.

### "One of the best blogging platforms for the novice user"

June 3, 2019

5.0

I have used WordPress personally to maintain my own website and professionally in my side-job as a personal assistant, and I feel it's one of the best platforms available for those looking to create a quality website without breaking the bank. If you have the skills of a more advanced developer (or the inclination to hire a designer) and you're willing to spend a little more, WordPress has the potential to be fully customizable. But if you're a beginning or intermediate user just looking to create a web presence that reflects positively on your work, it's totally accessible, inexpensive, and still allows for substantial creative latitude. Depending on how much work you want to put into your WordPress site you can choose from their selection of customizable templates or code your own design from the ground up. You can also connect WordPress to any domains you may own. It's worth every penny!

Pros

WordPress basically gives back however much you're willing to put into it. If you have more advanced web development skills, it's a cinch to create really sleek, professional website. If you're at the beginner end of the spectrum, you can still produce a quality finished product using the basic templates they offer. The more you pay, the more features and functions you can unlock, but the free version offers more than enough to create a quality website.

Cons

I love that there are so many plug-ins available for WordPress, but installation can be a little tricky. It helps to have a more experienced user look over your shoulder and walk you through, because the steps aren't always readily apparent.

### "excellent wordpress use is amazing websites in minutes"

October 25, 2021

### "Make your own Website Free"

March 18, 2020

4.0

My overall experience @ Wordpress has been exceptional because it teach me a lots of new things about how website building works so easily ,and as i said in the beginning , it create a spark to dig deep which helps me to find some really good contents to make a good website design of own free of cost.I must say people should experiment it to build own website easily.

Pros

What I really like about this Software is , They help Millions and Millions of people/organization/entity/LLP etc to fullfill their Imagination of a own Website into Reality or one could hardly dream of without minimul Investment. What i feel more important and valuable about this software is , They Generate a Spark in a Person to think more about website creation and how easily someone could start his/her own website so easily and fortunately it helps people to DIG DEEP to search for more and more valuables contents to be added on a website and even the search for good contents about own website never stops , until the last day of Professionalism. This is exactly what a amazing software WORD-PRESS is , and thus it creates greater values and greater contribution towards the society to make peoples life easy and I believe , this is what the actual value and real meaning of a Software is ?

Cons

What I least like about WordPress is the BOTS setup on the website because at times ,it makes people feel very irritating , by not allowing someone who wish to design or create a website model as per own requirements. Bots keeps throwing or offering new designs or contents , which a website builder uses in the process to experiment for better looks and designs followed by , keep referring to website expert to build your website at little cost . Justified though as a business ?..

### "The must-have solution for web designers"

March 9, 2020

5.0

Wordpress brings high functionality and advanced web design capability to the masses. You don't have to be an expert web designer to make very decent sites with it. But if you are a web designer, this platform can help produce attractive, reliable and functional sites very quickly. And the most amazing thing is: it's free without catches - such a rare thing these days.

Pros

Wordpress is probably the world's most powerful CMS that is also free - the rest you're going to have to pay for. There is a vast array of plugins and themes, many of them free, that will allow you to do almost anything with your website. Wordpress is maintained well, and there are plenty of free tutorials to help you get the most out of it.

Cons

The main issue with Wordpress is that it isn't the easiest drag and drop editor in the world, and you're going to need a plugin like Elementor to provide more flexibility. That said, most of the addon editors are freemium products, meaning you can do most things with the free version. It was originally designed as a blogging platform and it retains that heritage, so if your requirements are a long way away from a blog site, then Wordpress may struggle to give you what you want. Also, it tends to be slower to load than custom designed sites, but again, there are plenty of free plugins that will help you optimize loading speed.

Reason for choosing WordPress

They both have their strenghts and weaknesses, but Wordpress provides more advanced functionality over Mobirise.

### "Probably the only website building tool Id recommend now"

February 24, 2021

5.0

I don't bother using anything else anymore. I've used wordpress for 12+ years now, and whenever im on an implementation team, I tell people to not bother with anything else. Sometimes, when you're busy and can't update your own site, you can pay someone to do it for you and EVERYONE knows wordpress at this point, which makes the functionality of your business that much more feasible to maintain. Just go with this. Its mainstream and really high quality stuff.

Pros

EASY, SUPER compatible with other software and tools, templates galore which make setting up your site (or duplicating another site) super simple and easy. Honestly, its even been fun at times. Great for the non-detail oriented folk too!

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve, and because you can piece together so many different tools and softwares, sometimes when you update one of the widgets, they might not be compatible with a page on your site anymore, which means you need to go on a goose chase to fix the broken links to get everything up and running again. Wordpress doesnt send you notifications when links break, which makes it harder and frankly more embrassing, when a site visitor has to be the one to point out this problem

Alternatives considered

[Joomla](https://www.capterra.com/p/161648/Joomla/)

Reason for choosing WordPress

The other ones update so frequently, and their updates are always SO significant, that re-learning them just to maintain my site was often not worth it. So I just switched completely over to wordpress and havent looked back!

### "A Powerful Web Platform"

April 3, 2019

5.0

A huge positive! One might say it is one of the best web development platforms available, that does not require a steep learning curve or the help of a pro when it comes to basic functionality.

Pros

Its tremendous functionality and its ability to develop just about any type of site. Its ease of use when it comes to creating new pages, editing content, creating menus, and customizing the look of your site. The vast number of free themes available for you to choose from, to customize the look of your platform. The infinite number of plugins (free and paid) that are available to increase functionality and address just about any requirement you may have.

Cons

Its relative ease of use - while it is a very user-friendly system when it comes to creating and editing content, its more complex functions and even setting up the site to work well may require a higher level of familiarity with web development. If one can have the initial setup done professionally (or even sometimes for free by your web hosting provider) then managing your site and adding, deleting and editing content is a breeze.

### "More than a Blog"

December 21, 2018

5.0

I've been using WordPress exclusively for websites exclusively since 2008. Management, updates and installation have become increasingly seamless with low stress for users. There is a plethora of themes and plugins already to join this software to open the path for content people who do not have funding or time to work with a coding developer for their online presence. The new editor will be a bit of a struggle for users who don't want to learn and think about change. New users will never know anything but the SEO and readership marvel of the new things available.

Pros
