When they merged or were acquired by LEAP, the prices began to sharply increase (we're talking 60% in a year!) and the customer service declined even more sharply. When I informed Turbolaw that I was switching to a new provider, no effort was made to keep me as a customer except to try and talk me into buying LEAP, which I do not want or need. And the kicker was this: I asked IN ADVANCE if I would still be able to access my data (not their programming to update anything, just my own DATA on my own computer!) and they said yes--and then it turned out to be incorrect, and I could not even do that. And they will not assist me in doing so unless I pay them more money. This after my monthly cost had gone from something like $50 to $79 to $129 all in the space of 2 years!!@ Pros I originally selected this software because of the excellent experience I had had with their sister software, Turbolaw legal forms. That software was far superior to this, in terms of ease of use, customization and data access, but I stuck with it anyway. Turbolaw historically had offered excellent service. Cons It was virtually impossible to save data in a meaningful format. When I decided to switch to a new time and billing software, even their software people couldn't do it. Customizing the billing formats were difficult, particularly in that I wanted my bills to show the time and expenses billed, the payments made, and the status of all retainers--which in my mind should be fairly standard on a legal bill. Directions were spotty, and questions about this software were not quickly answered. Retainers and payments were not always automatically credited. I heard these concerns from fellow attorneys, as well. Switched from [Sage Timeslips](https://www.capterra.com/p/114210/Sage-Timeslips/) I switched FROM Timeslips to this product because Timeslips had crashed; I then switched FROM Turbolaw to Timesolv, and I am so happy with that product!! Alternatives considered [Sage Timeslips](https://www.capterra.com/p/114210/Sage-Timeslips/) Reasons for choosing TurboLaw Time and Billing I had had great customer service, at that point, from Turbolaw.
