When we were starting out gusto was great. We didn't need their support for much. We didn't have benefits packages, or other complex HR tasks. But as we've grown from 2 to close to 50 employees and expanded into different markets, the limitations of Gusto are becoming apparent. Well I think maybe the system itself can handle it but I get the sense that Gusto support is so understaffed and overwhelmed that we're continually having to stop business as usual to wait for their sluggish and many times unhelpful responses. Nothing worse than an employee feel like they're getting the run-around from your HR department.

Pros

I love the UI, functionality and features. Love the employee onboarding experience. Has some good integrations.

Cons

Customer support is almost non-existent at this point. My Office Manager has been telling me for a few months that she can't get timely responses from customer service. Tickets take at least a few days and sometimes issues can go weeks or months waiting for response from Gusto. We recently had an issue where it showed one of our owners had paid $30k in insurance fees on their paystub and it took I think 2 months to get a response from someone explaining what was going on.

It was not pleasant when we used it and we had to switch to another provider ASAP but because we were locked in a contractor, it was just very hard to move.

Pros

Well we were sold the fact that it was suppose to manage your payroll/1099/contractors and billings and it did it's job when it worked.

Cons

And when it didn't work, it was a lot of issue with integration or errors when withdrawing money out of the banks. You would contact support and wait and wait but would not get any support until 3 to 4 days later.

easy and fast , and its really reliable. The customer service is a genuine treasure. They tae less than 5 minutes to solve things and helped us make things get done faster. Even us being the worst customer. Hahahah Sorry Gusto. But you guys are great.

Pros

The software has been helping me in getting my work done fast with the list of employees and hiring new staff at a timely manner. Also I am not an accountant and just know the basics, but gusto has made things easy for anyone to enter all account details and it also helps in doing your tax requirements, both monthly and quarterly basis.

Cons

After about an year of using it, it did get slow. So you do need to sometimes upgrade it and wait for like 15-20 minutes. But that was our mistake. Gusto is providing the best at what they can provide us. But stopping the work in between all this was a kind of an hassle, since we had a schedule, and only updating each of our computer system had to be stopped.

### "Gusto is so Slow when moving Funds"

Our company just started using Gusto for a month now and I have to say that when it comes to transferring money to Philippines account compared to Paypal to Bank, or Wise to Bank, Gusto is very slow. Paypal to Bank - Instant Wise to Bank - 5-10 mins. Gusto - 3-5 days. Its so slow that you might think its 2013. Please Gusto, make improvements. Also, I don't believe saying "It will depend on your bank" because if other payment gateways (especially the ones I mentioned) can do the transfer in a few mins, why can't you? I've used the same bank for Paypal transfers, Wise Transfers. Why is your transfers so SLOW? Please improve on this. Sure, on the employers' or clients' side it seems you got everything figured out and its smooth. But trust me, sooner or later these Filipinos who are receiving pay through Gusto will tell their employer that your transfers are so slow. Not just in the Philippines, but also countries outside of US as well. I've asked my colleagues about how long it takes for you guys to move funds and its the same thing. I hope you guys can improve on this. Please take this as an honest review and not in any form to say something bad about your company. Account Wise Gusto is decent but when it comes to moving funds it's a disaster.

Pros

Accounting and Monitoring is decent enough.

Cons

Fund transfer is very slow. Please improve.

My overall experience with Gusto has been great! I enjoy it, it works well and I get paid on time every time! It is easy to see all my pay stubs and how much i’ve made thus far this year and how much of my paycheck has gone to taxes etc YTD.

Pros

Gusto is a very easy and simple to use payroll software from the user standpoint. There isn’t anything flashy about the website so it is simple and effective. Everything I need is located right on the home page, including current pay stubs and previous pay stubs. It is great for small businesses who do not need to pay extra money for flashy payroll services. Gusto gets the job done.

Cons

There isn’t anything I dislike about the software, it is simple, yes, but for a small business it is not detrimental to have a simple platform like this.

I’ve been using Agustí for almost 3 years and I can’t never go back to using other products. Not only do they make it easy to use the platform, the dashboard and overall experience with their tool is pleasant and truly great!

Pros

I love how I can access all tax forms at tax time, taxes are calculated for me based on my state and federal rates, and I never have to worry about paying too much or too little, as Gusto makes these calculations for me.

Cons

I don’t have any negative points to bring up. So far it’s been a great experience and I find their interface pleasant and engaging, which is a plus when you consider it is just a payroll management tool.

### "Lots of poorly thought software logic - Gusto unwilling to fix"

Pros

The Gusto wallet is great for employees to easily track their time. The HR pros are generally good at answering questions.

Cons

Lots of broken logic in the system. Gusto will a deploy an update that will cause issues or require additional licensees to be purchased with no warning. They are also generally not setup to comply with California Labor law, and payroll requires manual calculations for EVERY employee if you are in California. This was something they said they were working on over 2 years ago, but still have not corrected.

We have been using Gusto software since a while ago as it's output is completely outstanding when in terms of payroll management, self access portal of employee, Employee related queries, leave management and everything that the HR is responsible for.

Pros

Gusto is the best HR services and HR Tools software that definitely helps us in real time in which it has all the employees payroll management, Employee self access Portal, Employee benefits, Employee attendance and everything and it helps us a lot.

Cons

There's nothing least about this Gusto software as I'd like to request why not they have few fun activities as in the part of theri tools so as to engage all employees.

Pros

Its modern, easy and fast. Easy onboarding of new employees and contractors. Customer service is responsive when we need their service. We use Gusto to manage Payroll, pay taxes, pay contractors and also provide our employees benefits, every HR pracitioner requires Gusto, its error free and very reliable. We are able to track employees working hours all thanks to Gusto, we no longer do it manually, saves us time and also from human errors. We have a culture of celebrating our staff birthdays and work anniversaries and this software reminds us which is a really good thing. Adding new employee’s data is pretty easy and fast. UI is well organized and employees love it because of its straightforwadness, they can see hours worked, number of sick leaves etc.

Cons

Gusto is the real deal, every business needs to adopt and use its brilliant features. I have no cons to note

Overall, we've been using them for over a year. We started with 3 people and have grown to 12+ employees and it's scaled well for us. There are features that could be more comprehensive in order to truly run our entire HR operations and payroll, but at this time it does the job we need it to do.

Pros

Gusto was super easy to set up, especially as a new start up and the cost was competitive compared to other platforms.

Cons

Sometimes it's not as intuitive as you would expect.

As an owner/operator starting out, I ran into problems implementing other payroll systems for our company. Luckily I came across Gusto and got things up and running g fast. We’ve been using it ever since.

Pros

Easy on boarding and constantly communicating with our management staff has kept Gusto in its place of being our payroll management system for our employees.

Cons

It’s a little pricey, especially since we don’t use all of the available features but it’s a good system overall.

Gusto sends me emails each week reminding me to enter my hours. It is as smooth and sweet as you would expect from payroll software. Gusto would be my go-to tool if I was running a side company that required me to pay employees.

Pros

It is very easy to use. It takes seconds to track hours. My account receives payments on time. Gusto has been very responsive to my emails regarding my account. Gusto made it easy for me to complete the onboarding checklist as a people manager and each task within the deadline.

Cons

Although I can't see any negatives, I am a user, not an administrator, and don't know much about back-end operations. Although I would like to see more customization options on the interfaces, it is not a major issue in the grand scheme.

Gusto exists solely in our HR department, but the increase in productivity is apparent. HR should never be overloaded with too many administrative tasks, and Gusto has helped streamline our operation in that sense.

Pros

Gusto's streamlined interface has worked wonders for our HR team. The entry price is fair, and the services on offer are well worth said price. With Gusto, we have cut our average time spent on tedious administrative tasks in half, and onboarding is quicker than ever.

Cons

It is my opinion that the expanded functionality is not worth the increase in price, but if you would like or absolutely need that functionality, it would be both available and ready for integration with your existing HR workflow.

Cons

Gusto is extremely helpful and efficient. My team enjoys the "social media" aspect of it, where new hires are introduced to the team before they even begin working. It goes a long way towards building a team. I would highly recommend Gusto to any small business trying to manage their staff. Onboarding is a breeze and gets the employees involved in their own financial matters. Even the least tech savvy person should be easily capable of following the necessary steps to be hired, paid, etc.

Pros

Employees are able to punch in and out using anything with an internet connection. Additionally, you can turn on Geolocation so that you can ensure the employee is actually on-site when they punch in & out. Best yet, they can actually leave notes in regards to what tasks were completed for the day. It's very helpful to have this built-in tracking feature for accountability with my very small staff.

Cons

Unfortunately, there is no effective scheduling tool (at least in my opinion), which forces me to go to another software provider for employee scheduling. Ideally, both scheduling and payroll could be done through the same web based software. This would also make it easier to compare scheduled vs. actually worked hours.

well overall this software has an excellent reputation, but I find some customers are complaining about the response time of their customer service.

Pros

1\. This Software is very user-friendly and easy to use. 2. It includes all tax forms and multi-state payroll functions. 3. All plans include unlimited payroll, accounting integrations, and multi-state payroll. 4. high paid plans include premium employee onboarding tools, employee directory, and time management tools

Cons

1\. this software does not offer free plans or a trial period. 2. Low-paid plans do not include a time management feature. 3. It does not have an activity dashboard, bank information, or year-round record keeping

Pros

The payroll feature makes it very easy to enter the details you need for your payroll, and has clear and precise reports for your records.

Cons

Some of the reports are not as customizable as I would like, although they are working on this feature and new reports are being added.

Simple and easy to use interface and manages human resources in all respects as employees, salaries, incentives and permanence and supports customers as well.

Cons

The features in the program serve small and medium companies to some extent but do not support large companies, and in human resource management does not include new employees well It supports both existing ones.
