The website is also easy to navigate through. I only had one bad experience with , but they fixed the bugs and issues really quick, and their customer support helped out as well. Tutor Education Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Good ingredients, but too much packaging and inconsistent deliveries" June 6, 2026 3.0 My overall experience has been mixed. The food itself is usually enjoyable, and the quality of the ingredients is often better than expected. However, the service isn’t always reliable. When ingredients are missing or unusable, you’re still left needing to visit the supermarket to complete meals you’ve already paid for, which defeats much of the convenience that meal kits are supposed to provide. Customer service does make an effort to put things right, but compensation in the form of future credit means you still end up spending additional money to solve this week’s problem. It’s a reasonable service, but there are better alternatives available. Pros The recipes are generally tasty and easy to follow, and the ingredients are usually of a good quality. Compared with some meal kit providers, doesn’t seem to cut corners on ingredients, and the variety of meals available each week is decent. The service is straightforward to use, and meal planning becomes much easier when everything arrives ready to cook. Cons The amount of plastic packaging is excessive. Almost every ingredient seems to arrive wrapped separately, which creates a surprising amount of waste each week. I’ve also experienced occasional delivery issues, including missing ingredients, spoiled food, and even meat or fish being included in a plant-based order. While customer support is generally responsive and tries to compensate for mistakes, refunds are usually provided as account credit towards a future box rather than resolving the immediate problem. July 29, 2025 1.0 Up until the transition to Elevate and processing FSA by , everything was fine. For some reason, the team at Gusto doesn't get FSA. Pros as a payroll management software/app is very close to a four star. Cute, gets the job done well, nice emails letting you know you paycheck is coming and more. Very easy to use when considering JUST payroll. Cons When incorporated Elevate to run FSA, it has literally been a nightmare! It's so bad, we don't want to do FSA anymore! Literally, just this week, we had an issue with a credit card transaction denied from a pharmacy. When we checked with Gusto support (which can only be done by AI or via email if AI starts messing up), it was because a pharmacy was marked as a non-FSA entity. A pharmacy? It was such a mess that what was 100% automated by the doctor and pharmacy, the pharmacy couldn't undo the transaction and was going to send back the prescription. The family had to go in person to the pharmacy, use a different credit card and not be able to use their own FSA money. Then, in Gusto attempting to fix the bug had the audacity to ask for a receipt for the transaction. Really!! A receipt for a denied transaction. Before I would ever recommend that great payroll that Gusto has been, they need to either stop doing FSA all together or find a partner that does FSA well. July 3, 2025 5.0 covers all the relevant functions for our daily HR work. The interface and operation are simple and clear. The individual customization options for time tracking and digital personnel file management make it much easier to use. Pros Time tracking is made easy with a start/stop function or the option to manually add time. You can also set a time limit so that subsequent changes are only possible for a certain number of days. The administrator role allows you to view and edit all time accounts. However, if someone changes something, it is displayed by name in the overtime overview, so all changes can be tracked. Cons It would be nice if the tool also allowed regular feedback discussions to be recorded directly in the tool and not just uploaded as a single document to the employee. Scientist Biotechnology Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great for organizing your direct deposit and tax documents but lacking in banking features" April 27, 2026 4.0 Great for organizing direct pay and your company and tax documents. However the banking features are limited such as only having one external account, no bill pay, no Zelle. Pros Very easy to split payments and make changes. Availability of various background and tax documents is also very good, easy to find. Cons Being limited to one external bank account for transfers is a negative compared to other checkign accounts. After I get my pay in multiple accounts, I consolidate them in one account for credit card payments. This makes it hard as I need to go to those accounts, transfer from them to another and that to etc. Also they advertised they offered free tax prep with April, but after I prepared my tax return I saw that this only applied if you had taxes back, not taxes due, which wasn't stated clearly in the offer. " October 14, 2025 5.0 made it easy to clock in and out for my shifts, and it was nice to be able to track both my hours and pay for that pay period. It also was smooth and easy to view previous pay period information, as well as tax information at the end of the year. I actually was also able to log in and pull tax information from previous years long after I had left that employer. I think Gusto is a great software to use coming from the side of an employee and would highly recommend! Pros I used as an employee at a previous employer and it was great! Super easy to use, the app ran smoothly with no issues or glitches. It was fast and simple to clock in and out, and easy to see and track my hours and pay! Cons For what I used it for I didn’t have any cons. It was easy to download from a link the employer emailed and simple to set up and use. They track hours, but also PTO, vacation requests, location of clocking in and out and all your tax forms Cons It wasnt always accurate on location. I would say its biggest strength is the variety of reports and customization available. Cons We often had the platform go down at random times, and the support team was not very helpful. For instance, the card we had on file to pay our subscription expired, so the whole system went down. No one contacted us to let us know that was the problem, or we could have solved it before losing access to the system.
