They need to work out some kinks on their benefits end, and also time tracking software would be a great addition. Pros I loved using Gusto for the most part. The interface is amazingly easy to use, as is running payroll. Employees loved it as well. Cons There were some definite kinks especially on the benefits side. There were multiple times where new enrollments were not processed which was annoying. It was also sometimes hard to get a hold of someone from their customer service team. Review Source SY Sarah Y. Pros Gusto is incredibly easy to use. You can keep track of payroll, benefits, PTO, etc. It's easy to set up any kind of wage garnishment needed for employees. Gusto also offers a number of employee benefits that make your team feel more engaged and taken care of. Cons The only difficulty is that we have an international team, and Gusto can only be used to track employees and run payroll in the US. Pros Gusto does a great job of making running payroll easy. The integrations are nice. The service is great. Overall I am very happy with this choice. Cons Wish the integrations with Ximble were better. We seem to have a little trouble with this every month. The hours don't come over for every employee so we are constantly double checking and editing the numbers for accuracy. Gusto is great to use from a management perspective, especially because ot helps keep in in line with labour laws, compliance etc. Pros When I was in a people manager role, Gusto made it super easy to go through the onboarding check-list and finish each task by the assigned date. Cons I wish there were more customization options for the interfaces, but that is very minor in the grad scheme of things. It almost does hr, payroll, and even found us a phenomenal book keeper. Pros Everything, this product has so many facets it simplified our business. Gusto allowed me to remove two employees that were previously necessary to my businesses functionality. Cons There is so much to gusto, I'm not sure im utilizing everything even after a year. The app was an issue, but I don't sweat the small things. Pros As a journalist I file several invoices a week. When my employer said they were switching to Gusto I was a bit sceptical. I would have to figure out a new system of uploading documents, and worry about getting paid. It turns out I had nothing to worry about. In fact, Gusto made things easier. I was able to upload with the click of a mouse. The HR department from the station got the documents with ease, and I was promptly paid. I definitely recommend Gusto. Cons Gusto is complicated when it comes with their app. Even after having an account with the company, I was unable to log into the android version. I was confused to whether the app even had anything to do with the company. Even the color scheme is different. I had to use the web based browser. Review Source MK Marvin K. On top of all the great features it has for weekly payroll, their PPP support has been great. Pros User interface, much more friendly and easy to use then major competitor I switched from. Employee onboarding is a breeze as well as all taxes being set up properly and taken care of. Cons Direct deposits being delayed for employees because other employees payroll wasn't skipped. Later found out that I needed to skip a persons payroll that wasn't getting a check in order to make sure the other employees get their direct deposit on time. Pros That direct deposit works and you can change tax schedules easily Cons The whole GUI is absolutely horrible. If you make the slightest mistake with the mouse position it erases the entry you are working on, so if you extensively document, say bye-bye to what you typed. Also inappropriate Gusto spam being sent to email such as payday loan offers, Gusto banking offers and whatnot that this captive audience member didn't appreciate. Pros Gusto is beautiful, easy, and has all of the basics. Personally, I don't have time to spend more than a few hours each week on HR but Gusto makes running payroll and onboarding new staff quick; keeping our paperwork to a minimum; and handles benefits like a pro. Cons Gusto is missing a few features that would make it a perfect product. Timesheets are \*very\* basic. Reports can be a little cumbersome. And there's no feature or integration for performance management or applicant tracking. Cons when you try to send a corrected W-2, they cant do it with out send one that shows you paid less taxes even though they sent it to the IRS and State. they take over 6 months to correct, or maybe longer.Sstill working on it... I've been using this product for a little over a year. Super easy to use, easy to approve time off for employees and track time, customer service is super responsive. If you want an easy, well supported, and effective payroll solution then check out Gusto! Pros I loved how quickly I was able to setup Gusto for a single employee. I wanted something easy to run my payroll for me. It was easy to setup the company, employees, taxes, and every other piece of the process. I did have a few questions along the way specific to taxes and unemployment. The Gusto support team was magnificent and quick at helping me find the answers specific to my state and then getting things in the right place. I was up and running in no time and wow as it exciting to see that first check come through. Cons I think some of the tax stuff could have been a little more clear as to what was needed and when. I had to wait for some state tax info and thought I could not move ahead until it was in. There are ways to move around that and come back later. I was willing to try it because it was something that could be a little more professional than handwritten checks or venmo payments and would be able to make my business a little more substantial. Cons I was unable to pay anyone ever. It kept asking for me to finish paperwork but it wouldn't tell me what I needed to submit. I started the process after a paycheck went out to my team members and was late on the next check because I wanted to figure it out and get it going but I ended up just sending everyone Venmo money because I was unable to get this going. December 5, 2016 5.0 I use Gusto to keep track of payments, PTO, taxes, etc. The user experience is extremely easy to use. I love being able to see where I am at financially at the workplace. It's also nice to have all of my info in one place that I can access whenever I need it. Then I don't have to ask the boss and I'm sure he also enjoys that! This tool has simplified my life in a number of different ways. Pros I really really like the user interface. It's easy to navigate. I also like having my paystubs, tax info, PTO, and other information all in one place. I can access it whenever I need and I can even pull it up on my phone. They also put in some cool integrations with social media. Cons I wish I could do my timecard directly through them. Maybe you can and I just haven't set it up yet. Not sure.
