Pros I love that Gusto makes everything so easy - they lay everything out in a very user friendly and self explanatory way, and even have reminders for things you need to do by a deadline (ie. 1099s, W-2s). Even someone like myself with little/no accounting background should have no problems navigating Gusto. Cons It is a bit tedious when submitting a payment to just one contractor. Once paid, the employees receive their pay stub in their email, which they can easily check to ensure accuracy. The pay stubs are very straightforward and easy to understand. The program also stores all pay stubs and tax documents, so those important documents are always easy to access. Pros I love how user friendly the program is. Gusto is very easy to navigate and you can easily access paystubs, benefits, tax documents, etc. Additionally, anytime an employee needs to update their direct deposit information, they can easily do that through Gusto, which allows our employees to even split deposits between multiple accounts - easiest program I have used to complete that task. Cons Gusto is so easy to use, I honestly do not have any dislikes. I can't even critique their webpage design. It is simple and does everything it needs to do. Nothing more, nothing less. Very easy to use. It takes me 10 minutes to run payroll. Gusto keeps adding new features all the time and seems like they are listening to their customers and addressing our needs and always improving. The best part I like about Gusto is that employee on-boarding is super easy and all back-office work is done by Gusto such as filing reports, etc. It is also super easy to reconcile tax payments, deferrals, etc. Cons In my opinion Gusto is perfect only for small/midsize businesses.
