Easy to set up, and they file the quarterly taxes on time. Employees love the portal. Pros Ease of setup, link to Quickbooks, employee access, two day turnaround on direct deposit. Awesome pricing easy to understand. Cons Customer support on complex situations such as 2% shareholder benefits. Reports are not intuitive to get what is needed. They withdrew the money from our account but NEVER PAID OUR STAFF! We had to pay our staff out of our pockets so they could get paid on time and fight for days to get our money back from Gusto WHICH WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR!!!. NO ONE FROM GUSTO APOLOGIZED OR ACCEPTED RESPONSIBILITY!! Pros It's easy to read and navigate through the site . Cons Absolute Nightmare when there is a mistake or messes up. It is impossible to get someone on the phone or someone who actually cares to help. They're all matter of fact and do not actually provide help or guidance to a solution. We're a small company with a staff of 6 and if a payroll issue occurs then someone within Gusto should help but they don't. Pros We started using to accommodate those in our company who prefer direct deposit over paper checks, and the transition has been quick and smooth. Gusto's support team has been quick to answer any questions we might have, and all of our employees have received their checks without issue. We also appreciate how it keeps track of all the vital information that comes with payment. Gusto lets you pay with gusto! Cons We would prefer a flat fee over a "pay-per-employee" model, but we understand that this is the norm in the industry.
