We use this product to manage administration services for the employess in USA. Interface is really easy and full of functionalities. Pros Gusto provide a functionality for the employers to pay their employees in a very clean, safe and easy way. It not only works as a payroll but also provide human resource features like paperwork. Pros Gusto makes it so we don't have to deal with legal filings or tax filings. All we need to do is log in and pay people. It's almost a set it and forget it type of deal. I get to see all of my paystubs, perks, contracts, documents in one place. Gusto is simple and intuitive to use. I wish my new company was on Gusto! Cons The commuter benefits off-shoot of the main Gusto website is clunky, I think they might be integrating with a third party or something but it doesn't have the same design or ease of use as the main Gusto site. April 15, 2022 1.0 I've never been as frustrated with a company as I have been working with Gusto. My advice to anyone looking for a payroll processing company is to keep looking. I have been doing payroll for our company for years. We moved to Gusto to offer our employees and customers direct deposit and online tax filing, but my workload has increased 10 times since moving over to Gusto. Pros They have several different options for importing data. However, they lack flexibility when data does not follow the norm. We enter payroll for several small non-profit organizations with unique tax requirements and Gusto does not have the ability to handle these situations which has made things incredibly frustrating. Cons It's almost impossible to get non-profit information entered without their support staff making changes to the system on the back-end. And you better prepare for it to take weeks to resolve because there is no one to talk to and support emails are assigned a case number and then seem to vanish. After days, I emailed our salesperson who basically told me to stop emailing her, my questions needed to be directed to support. Review Source LC Liz C. Pros Gusto now offers state labor law posters and updates for each state which is helpful with a nationwide company. Cons Gusto will often be unavailable during the middle of the work day which is incredibly frustrating and creates a lot of stress. Cons I love everything but the customer service. When initially singing up we requested if we could backdate the promotion as an employee referred us and should have received the gift card promotion. A customer service agent promised this but it was never received. When contacting customer service on multiple occasions the agent denied the interaction and ability t provide what the previous agent promised 6 months prior. In the end they gave a $100 credit on the account which was unfair to the employee who referred us. Love how they have a mobile app. Pros It's pretty simple to use as an employee. I can see by paystubs clearly and see where my money is going. Each paystub is pretty detailed(although it's pretty much the same thing every paystub). Cons I dont really dislike anything because I don't go on it often. Cons Some features are still be created or implemented. I think there's room for the product to grow in terms of features. I trusted them to handle all my needs with HR and wasn't worried about a thing. Pros I was a user and we did switch from Gusto to another service but overall, it was really easy to get situated with. If I did have any issues, I was able to solve it myself. And taxes, paperwork, everything was easy. The only thing that may have complicated things was the HR department themselves, haha. Cons I am not sure there were any cons except for the simplicity/bareness of the website? But, the second you expand with traveling sales or contractors, etc., then Gusto simply doesn't cut it. Pros I liked how cheap it was and how intuitive most of the core features are. I like the automatic tax form preparation and delivery. Decent turnaround times for payroll processing, which gives us greater flexibility in administering internal programs. Cons The features are not robust and the system gets confused or breaks over trivial items like working in more than one state. It doesn't really support contractors. Just those two items alone now require two additional, separate systems. I'd never heard of it, but wow, was it easy to use. I just remember to put in my hours each week and Gusto does all the rest. The money goes into my account. Gusto even sends me an email each week to remind me to put in my hours, just in case I've forgotten! It's very sweet and smooth -- just like you'd hope for a payroll tool. If I were running a side business where I needed to pay people, I'd use Gusto for sure. Pros Super easy to use. Very quick onboarding. Tracking hours takes only seconds. Payments get deposited into my account on time. Lots of email communication from Gusto about my account. Kind of feels like the company is looking out for me, wanting to help me. Cons I can't think of any negatives, but I'm a user and not an administrator, so I don't know much about the back-end of things. Review Source Jeremy E. Cons Over two weeks ago, a syncing error in the integration between Zenefits and Gusto resulted in the over deduction of all of our employees' paychecks. Despite our multiple efforts to communicate with Gusto we have not heard from them in over a week now, and the issue is still unresolved. Due to their lack of response, the employees' pay checks have again been over deducted because payroll is ran weekly. Highly dissatisfied. Would NOT recommend.
