Pros I've been using Gusto for more than two years and I've been satisfied with how easy it is to navigate and download the documents I need. The platform also makes me easy to obtain acknowledgments and signatures from the team when needed. The tools is effective at simplifying onboarding and offboarding employees by offering self-onboarding. Pros The platform makes it super easy to track benefits, time off requests, update salaries, and distribute documents to the team. Cons I think it would be useful if there was an easier process to update the "primary admin" information. I love being instantly notified when we get paid, along with being able to easily check in on my personal health benefits online. It is a simple platform which doesn't overly complicate the process of getting paid. Cons I have no qualms with Gusto. They are a wonderful company to work with - especially for small start-up companies trying to keep things simple within the work place. Pros The user interface is clean with no-thrills which makes it a pretty basic tool to use and navigate around. When I joined my current employer I had never used Gusto before and I had no issues setting up my account with my banking information for payroll and benefits selections. Cons If anything the appearance of the user interface is too basic. I did Customer Service for an Internet based company a few years ago while pregnant. One day I had morning sickness really bad on my way to work. I get there and ended up on another floor's bathroom vomiting up my entire life and needless to say didn't clock in for work as scheduled. An hour later I come in the office and was explaining that I was here but too sick to call even. Managers of course looked like we understand but how do we know for sure and you didn't call?! I'm glad you asked I said with a smile and logged onto the Gusto app and it showed that I was there in the building the entire time. Needless to say job saved by Gusto App Cons The thing that I loved wa was also the thing that I didn't like an that was being able to be tracked all the time. Review Source JS Jamaula S. There is a lot of customization and the support is great. Cons Not much to say here. They help with a lot of things. Clear communications, email reminders that are visually pleasing make me more likely to log in to review my payments. Pros User interface is clean and modern. Easy to set up and use. All the information I need is accessible through the site. They seem to have a robust H.R. Portion as well. Pros It is very easy to use, it takes care of everything we just make sure the information is correct, and then start running payroll. They take care of the taxes, unemployment, and filings. Cons To get a hold of customer service you have to submit a ticket and request a call back. We've never used a system was so quick to set up and so user friendly! Pros We just switched to Gusto and already our managers and employees are loving it! The platform is super user-friendly, attractively designed, and makes reviewing salary, time off, getting documents, and other HR-related items, a breeze. We are all loving using Gusto! Cons Switching platforms is always a hassle and something falls through the cracks. The only thing that hasn't worked for us so far is the time off tracking. Something wasn't working correctly where the time off vs time requested vs time available were not talking to each other but the team quickly helped us sort that out in a matter of days. Every payday, you will receive this cute little email with a beautiful illustration celebrating your pay. All of the forms and paystubs are there for you whenever you need it. You no longer need to save all of your paystubs and W2s. They even have a fun fact about how many random things you can buy with your pay ;) Cons I don't have any complain about it. It's simple, easy to use and fun. Intuitive and to-the-point. Cons I honestly cannot find anything I didn't like about this software - if I had to choose, it would be that it's main use for the small business I worked for was for payroll processing and PTO, and nothing else related to the HR department functions. I am not sure what else they have to offer with this software, or how the other offers function. It not only makes me feel like I understand my paycheck but also makes the experience of getting paid even better... Cons There isn't anything I dislike about the software. Pros The simplicity of the interface, automation of reports, the ease of customization. Cons The only thing I can think of is that sometimes some features are buried in places that don’t make a ton of sense. For example whenever I want the payroll calendar I have to hunt for it because it’s not where I assume it would be. Same thing when I’ve run payroll and need to cancel it to make a change, I can’t ever remember where to find that feature so I end up spending time hunting for it. Not a solution for bigger or growing company. Hard to imagine doing payroll gets difficult as they can't process of your payroll grows. No point of escalation on customer service number. Pros Till we had small it was a good intuitive product. Good for payroll for lass then 10 or 20 people max. Cons They payroll takes longer to direct deposit. They try to upsell reverse wire and block account privileges to force you to cut down your payroll.
