Saved time by not having to look through UI Pros Everything I needed was easy to find in a simple interface. I could see how much money I was getting paid a week, how much was being taken out and when I was getting paid next. Changing your address was a breeze as well as downloading tax forms. The archives were convenient for me when I need to show proof of employment. Cons This was probably just a case for me and a few others but since I was a contractor and an employee, I didn't see the tab at the top to switch views. Once I knew that, no complaints. LIke the call back feature, they always call you back Cons Hate having to use the Gusto "code" when calling customer service. Have to look it up every time I call as it changes. October 13, 2017 5.0 Pros Gusto is really easy to use. I just put in employee information, and when it's time to run payroll, it sends me a reminder. I log in, and literally less than two minutes later, I'm done. There are options for reimbursements, vacation time, health plans, and more. Cons It's a little pricey but it's worth it so that I can just run payroll so quickly. I can't think of anything I don't like. Pros The company that I work for has decided to paperless, meaning the method of payroll had to change. Gusto gave us software where direct deposit requests, work authorization, and information aggregation could be done online. This all simplifies the process for new employees. As an employee, I mostly used it to check in and out of work. Cons \- Does not have a feature for vacation requests. - Does not have an app. - Requires the manual entry of tax corrections. Not only is Gusto affordable, it has everything you might need to calculate taxes, payroll and even salary comparisons for free! This must be a junior administrator's best friend and for good reason! Cons Maybe its due to inexperience with accounting and salary evaluation but Gusto seemed like it had it all. All it may really need is a comprehensive tutorial to enable people to learn administration through its own software. Paying off in a few step was never this easy. You dont really have to worry much. It is a scalable tool so you can expand as much as you want. Pros The tool is very easy to use. Adding an employee or contractor or paying them is very easy. The tool guides you step by step from onboarding to payroll to managing which is simply awesome Cons If you want to use it as multi administrative software then it is a bit clumsy. You can outgrow their platform with a larger company or more sophisticated needs, but it appears that they cater to a smaller, less-complex company. Pros Gusto is not complicated to use or understand, it is easy to login and get done what needs to get done quickly. It is inexpensive and has some nice features which works for non-complex businesses. Cons Gusto isn't as powerful as other companies and is more suited for simple organizations. The auto-run feature is great for our salaried workers, but trying to add additional net earnings on a recurring basis is impossible. The reporting features aren't as robust either, though they seem to be improving those lately... but it still lags behind other platforms. It is reliable and intuitive. Pros Currently, Gusto is being used across the entire organization as our sole payroll management tool. They make everything so easy and the company is so true to their values. I have read that they take very good care of their employees so their whole company is friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for a user-friendly way to do payroll, trust me when I say your employees will love this software. Pros Full visibility of my pay No waiting and wondering about payroll issues, Its right there for you to see Awesome feature to donate to a tax deductible charity directly from your paycheck Easiest payroll system I have ever used during an onboarding Autosave feature is great and helps employees save up a nest egg or backup fund. Cons I can't think of anything negative to say at all. This software does it all and then some. They are true to their mission statement and a great company to do business with. We have a fairly small team plus contractors (about 6 full-time and a number of contractors), and this has made managing it all and paying everyone on time very easy. Cons We had a glitch at one point where the hours got messed up and people were being underpaid for a month, but that got fixed pretty quickly by their team. Love their features and is definitely a Must-Look program when looking at your HR needs. Pros Gusto is great, it is visually appealing, has a nice and calming support team, and a modern and professional graphics user interface (GUI). It is low cost and is self-service and has personally made my payroll experience very simple. It also emails all of the ends of the year documents automatically making the hassle of communicating and the gruesome process of acquiring it all much easier. Many Tech-phobic people have found the interface user friendly and usable. Cons Customer service has not always been top-notch, I have had some very frustrating experiences with the support centre which have led me to literally ripping my hair out. Simple to follow and modern look. Pros Used Gusto at a previous job within a startup role. This was a platform that made the tedious HR process more efficient. My favorite capability with this tool was simplifying the messages on options. They have sections in full detail and you can hover over a bullet point that represents a quick overview. The site has a nice modern layout that is easy on the eyes to follow. Cons No issues from a user standpoint. " March 17, 2020 4.0 I liked the interface, but the way they accounted for things was a bit confusing. It was last year, and perhaps they have gotten all that up to date. At the time, it needed help with integration with other software. Pros The interface was friendly and fun. Easy to hire and fire. The breakdown of taxes was easy to understand. Cons It didn’t deal with independent contractors very well and in the beginning, the first checks had confusing amounts. It didn’t integrate with my accounting software as well as it could have. Cons There isn't really anything I dislike, or "like least" on Gusto. I started as a computer idiot, so navigating my Gusto dashboard is easy. I received a customer "maintenance" call and told them I was very happy with them but I was disappointed that one issue took longer than I would have liked to resolve, and they were very apologetic and made it right. Pros Gusto has a great interface that is easy and intuitive to use and they also have fantastic support. Cons No complaints about the payroll platform at all. It would be nice to see more added features such as time-clocking or inter-team communication. To me, the security concern and poor customer service outweighed the good, but except in nonstandard situations like mine the product was great! Pros This software is adorable. The style of the whole interface is user-friendly and fun, and some of the copy makes me laugh out loud. Intuitive to use, gets the job done. Cons I personally ran into a major security concern: the contact email for my account was changed, and customer support not only failed to prioritize this issue (a stranger had access to the account that managed my pay and contained a huge amount of my personal information!) but told me that the only one who could return my access was in fact the stranger who now had access to my account.
