It's great for small businesses, being cheap and efficient. If you have a large business with lots of payroll, this is not suitable. Pros Gusto is simply awesome. It allows you to split payroll into multiple accounts at both your and payee's end, the set up is extremely streamlined and customer service is awesome. Probably the best payroll service at its price range. Cons Only four prescheduled payrolls allowed. That's be a big limitation for a large company. Also if anything goes wrong on a weekend, have to wait till Monday to talk to a human. It was super easy to sign up and they wisely encouraged me to use a personal email instead of a work email. It easily links to other accounts (Google) too. It has a friendly, modern UI. My favorite feature is the "statistics" - how much income you've received, how much has gone toward federal tax, hours worked, etc. Another nice touch is they notify me whenever my paycheck is deposited. Cons I don't have anything negative to say. However, the overall scope of the product is somewhat limited. Pros That I can access the website anywhere. If i need my paystubs or I need to change or update my bank information I have that easy availability to use the tool and get the job done. Cons If the paystub process allowed you to select multiple paystubs and not all. I would also like to see a summary MTD on its own. Pros My boss uses this for payroll and I'm in love with it. I love the feature to welcome new team members to the team and how easy it is to change accounts. I was unfamiliar with the tax requirements/paperwork that would need to be completed but the customer support was extremely helpful. Cons I least like the fact that I feel there is a lot more opportunities to use Gusto's software even further, but I don't use all of the potential features as much as I think I can in the future. Allowed employees to manage W-2 and tax info, time off and see pay stub details. Loved that it would email me when I got paid and would give me a short breakdown if that pay check right in my inbox. We have been very pleased. Pros Easy for employees to manage their own accounts. You don't need to print or give out paychecks, reports or W2's! Wouldn't want to use anything else. Pros I have used Gusto for a few years now and would not want to switch. The ease of use is unlike anything I have experienced before. The layout is efficient and functional and the fact that they send out 1099's and W-2's to employees and contractors without me having to go through and create those is incredible! So recommend using Gusto! Cons Honestly, I cannot think of anything I would change about this product. Pros I like that I was able to set up direct deposits and have my pay stubs readily available to me. It was also easy to get my tax forms together. Cons I don’t remember having any qualms while using Gusto. I do not know why my company decided to switch; potentially for the benefit of having all work documents in one platform and with Gusto we had to use several other platforms for time clock, benefits, etc. Review Source JS John S. Gusto makes one withdrawal from our bank for all taxes owed and then pays the agencies directly. Cons There is nothing of any significant note. Switched from [QuickBooks Payroll](https://www.capterra.com/p/174981/QuickBooks/) Quickbooks Payroll reporting was not easy to understand, and bank withdrawals were difficult to track -- they were sporadic and involved multiple withdrawals from different agencies. Gusto makes one tax withdrawal and pays the agencies directly, making the tracking and reporting much simpler for our General Manager to review and monitor. Review Source Phyllis C. It's good to have a small business like Gusto working alongside my own small business. Pros The ease of functionality is what I like most. I am all for websites that seamlessly flow in function and purpose, and this one does that. Not only that, the customer service is excellent! If ever a problem arises, I've had no trouble contacting a team member by email or chat. And the follow-up is great! I think it's a useful and organized tool, and it's fun to log into because of the look/feel of it. Pros I really do love Gusto. The design/user experience is really good, and it house a lot of important information for employees (new + current). I am sure there are more features I have not yet dug into or have access to as a non-admin, but as a base employee user I love the platform and find it very helpful. Cons Logging in is a headache, to be honest. I've logged in multiple times on my computer but still it asks to text a code to my phone nearly every time (and I'm not using a different laptop or browser). That's super annoying to me.
