Human Resources Management is less complicated and more secure. Pros What I like the most, is the dashboard ant its elements. It is really easy to use and and easy to understand. It is user-friendly and is easy to download any information your employees need. Pros Gusto communicates clearly when there activity in your account and the website is easy to navigate through. Cons The front page called the Dashboard doesn't always have much information on it so it doesn't feel much like a Dashboard. I would recommend this software for others like myself -- sole proprietors who need to run payroll but without all the bells and whistles. As far as I can tell, though, they are certainly equipped to handle larger companies as well. I'm glad I made the switch to Gusto. Pros The best thing about Gusto for me was the price. Coming from a much more expensive payroll solution, I appreciate that there is a single monthly fee that isn't dependent upon how often I run payroll in that month. The software itself is nice and user-friendly. I have not experienced any bugs or glitches. I log in and can find what I need to do (run payroll) easily. They are proactive in reminding me when payroll is due and prompting for any information that I need to provide. Cons Getting started was a little tricky as I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing, or if I was supplying the correct information. I think some hand-holding would have been nice for first-timers like myself. To Gusto's credit, they did reach out via phone once I had opened my account to answer any questions. June 15, 2021 5.0 Gusto has made payroll simplified and helped to walk through the process for quick set up. Customer service is awesome and so the the reference materials for help. They want you to stay compliant as you should. Pros Affordable, easy set up, log in authentication, customer service, and ability to integrate with our bookkeeping accounting system. These are all very important to our small nonprofit. The ability to pay set up and pay contractors, set up PTO, create offer letters. They also do more backend stuff like pay federal taxes. Can run and create reports. Cons Nothing that I lease like about Gusto. Gusto is going to be with our small organization. Pros Ease of the use of the software and Gusto makes it so that no matter how large or small your company can succeed with being totally compliant in both fed and state. Very easy to use, and although this is a complex subject, Gusto makes it so easy to understand and provided the information requested. Pros I like how simple it is to input employee information in the set up. Payroll deductions can be setup. Fast payroll processing. As a result, I can say that I advise this software to all new business owners who do not have a payroll. Gusto is easy to install, relatively quick to configure, and has all the functionality necessary to start. Cons Not all available settings and functions can be found easily. I wasn't sure what to expect coming from a typical company where accounting and payroll handled everything for us, but this far better. Pros As a user, I absolutely LOVE getting my paystub emailed to me directly, seeing exactly what is coming out each paycheck, what my overall cost to my company is, etc. I never have to bother accounting, all of the information is at my fingertips anytime I want it - AND I can make changes whenever I want. Pros Gusto is easy to use and is very active in informing you of changes that you need to be aware of. It seems like they are always making things easier for you by adding new tools and functionalities to make payroll easier. For example, I just saw today that they added an autopilot feature for payroll, which is really going to help me out. Cons Interface is easy to use but sometimes I have to ask customer support where to find basic things like the payroll schedule because it's not laid out in a very organized manor. Perhaps it is and I just don't know the website very well. I've been using the website for about 2 years now and I'm not 100% familiar with how it's laid out, I guess that speaks to how intuitive it is to use. Review Source MU Maile U. After I onboard an employee, I just enter the hours they work every pay period and Gusto takes care of everything else. I've been happy with their customer service the couple times I've had an issue to resolve. I would highly recommend them to small businesses. Pros I only have a few employees and don't have a dedicated accountant or accounting service. I don't want to spend a lot of my time on payroll management, so Gusto is well worth the money. Gusto saves me a ton of time and effort trying to figure out how to manage payroll and payroll taxes. Cons Honestly, I've been completely satisfied with Gusto. I can't think of any features I wish that it had. My needs are simple, so maybe a more complex business would have complaints, but I don't. Review Source Marin J. It's organized and cohesive, and sets up forms to make them super quick to fill out. So far so good! Pros I just started at a digital marketing company called Intellitonic. Beforehand, I had been freelancing like crazy on top of my previous full-time job. I thought I'd continue the trend, and filled in my tax info accordingly. Naturally, I didn't end up freelancing nearly as much as I thought I would, and needed to redo my taxes immediately. Gusto gave me the right forms, cut to the chase so it took 2 minutes. Signed and done just like that. Cons The one problem I have faced so far is I had a new form to sign and Gusto didn't let me know. I only found out because I opened the website and the form was waiting for me. Probably some kinks they need to work out in their default notifications. Review Source CR Charity R. January 5, 2017 5.0 In December of last year, I found myself taking over payroll for the company that I work for. I quickly learned that our payroll process was very time-consuming and did not run very smooth at all. I suggested that we change our process to the owners of our company and that is when I stumbled across Gusto. I had zero payroll experience and I was spending 1-2 days a week working on payroll. As COO I did not have the time to spend on payroll the way that it was set up. Once we started Gusto and got everything set up it now takes me maybe 30 minutes every two weeks to run payroll. March 23, 2021 5.0 I've used Gusto for about 2 years now and for the most part, it's been super easy to use. I appreciate that it is user friendly and easy to find things and understand what is what. I very much appreciate being able to easily download and print what I need as well. Pros I like that I can easily access all my tax forms and paystubs from one location and print off what I need whenever I need it. Cons It is hard to update some of the forms.
