I previously couldn't offer these because of complexity, this has made my life so easy. Cons Paying contractors by check is not intuitve in the contractor payment workflow, it always sets a default date in the future and the PRINT CHECKS button could be larger, i seem to always miss a step and have to redo the entry. I don't have any complaints. Pros It's real easy to navigate through the site, and everything is explained, simply. I love how I can adjust sending a part of my paycheck to charities, on a whim, and to as many as I want. Plus, their emails they send to us when we get paid from our job is always fun to see. Gusto will send friendly reminders about this so it is basically impossible to send out pay late. Employees can change their tax withholdings and view tax documents with their own Gusto login. Gusto even does benefits - at competitive rates. Delightful interface. Superb, prompt customer support. Cons It would be great if there were an option to have checks mailed for employees who opt out of direct deposit. Currently, Gusto lets you print checks but doesn't offer check printing and mailing as a service. Review Source GL Gamal L. I currently use it for a church I’m affiliated with. Pros I like that it gives small businesses the ability to have an easy way to do payroll. The program can be learned fairly quickly and you don’t have to be a payroll expert to use it. Cons In the church world, there isn’t a clear way to do the minister’s housing allowance where it’s easily tracked for tax reporting purposes. That’s been the biggest gripe for me. I knew where all my money came from and what taxes got taken where. It was a little less jarring than your normal paycheck but really helped a lot. And was easy to find all my tax forms. You can also specify distribution percentages when you have multiple accounts. I like how they tell you how much your income is compared to things we take for granted in developing countries, and offers an option to donate. Cons Lack of mobile app. Payment notification includes the actual payment amount by default. You have to change your settings to exclude your pay from the notification email. Especially with employees in different states. Having one service to manage all the different state taxes is really great. Pros It automates and handles our taxes, health insurance, deductions. All that stuff. Cons some clunky things, like I no longer have "hourly" employees, but it still asks me to run hourly payroll every two weeks. It has a nice interface and a good overview of when otehr co-worker started, also it was very fast to set up. Pros I liked most about Gusto that it was easy to be onboarded on as well as it being very intuitive Cons The log-in experience was confusing for me. The email reminders keep me on top of payroll and other tasks in Gusto so I don't have to keep track of it when I have many other items to focus on to run the business. Pros Gusto is a great tool for small businesses new to managing payroll. It is easy to onboard new staff and run payroll. Many report options. I really appreciate the regular reminders from Gusto for what tasks need to get done so I don't have to keep track of it myself! Gusto files all your quarterly and annual payroll reports! Customer service is timely in getting back to me and the staff are always nice to deal with. Payroll headaches, tension, and timeouts are no longer an issue for us anymore. We no longer require an independent human resource manager to manage employee performance, saving us time and money. Pros Gusto Is extremely simple to use, accessible, and less priced than other alternatives. Gusto's ease of use for payroll is by far my favorite feature. The automatic tax reporting, user interface simplicity, and new employee onboarding procedures are all well-organized as well. Gusto is appealing because it creates a fantastic workplace with actionable data and insight. It's beneficial to have a personal customer success manager to whom you may turn for advice. Cons This platform is not only beneficial but also educational. However, there are a few lapses I noticed. It does not provide you with all of the significant information before choosing a plan. I believe it would be beneficial if extra benefits elements were added rather than focusing solely on the early payout and other financial instruments.
