July 24, 2018 5.0 Pros After several different payroll companies, we finally decided on Gusto and we could not be happier. Mobile and desktop friendly, super easy to sync, quick customer service. Definitely a bang for your buck. Cons The direct deposit takes a bit longer than we'd like causing delays with the payment processing for employees. November 29, 2018 5.0 Overall, I have been incredibly pleased with Gusto. Our organization implemented the software and it has been easy to learn, easy to use, and I truly look forward to the emails they deliver on payday! Pros Not only is Gusto incredibly easy to navigate, it also has quick links to every item related to my paycheck, including 401k, benefits, reiumbursements, etc. My favorite feature of Gusto is the automated emails it sends every time you get paid....it's my favorite email to receive! Gusto provides a quick summary of that paycheck, and breaks down different contributions, deductions, etc. Cons It would be great if Gusto was fully integrated with the health insurance organizations so it serves as one portal. October 12, 2022 5.0 Overall, in terms of onboarding, Gusto was exactly what I was looking for. Everything I needed in one place without the need to use separate systems. Letter templates being included was also a bonus and encouraged myself and the team to manage the end to end onboarding process solely in Gusto. Pros Great ease of use with job posts and applicant tracking. Having the ability to deploy custom onboarding checklists was extremely useful and meant we could keep everything within Gusto without the need to create separate documents in other software. Cons Nothing from my own personal experience of using Gusto, only positives. Very simple and easy to used site. Well designed and makes the important things easy to find. Pros I like how easy it is for me to get my payroll and benefits information and view paystubs and other tax related information. Previous to Gusto it was a pain in the butt to get info form HR teams. It makes it super easy to keep track of vacation time, sick time, paydays, and benefits. Cons I don't really have anything bad to say about it. Pros Gusto integrates with tons of different platforms (including Upserve!) allowing many different customers to track employee data no matter what their primary business operation is. It was clear that after the first week alone, our contractors were much happier with the set up and we saved a bunch of time per week. Cons Honestly, the only downside was for lack of support of payroll options outside of the us and canada. Once they get support for this the product will be bulletproof. June 27, 2018 5.0 After using other options it is hard to quantify just how much time Gusto has saved us. They file forms and pay out child support for example. They also integrate with our time clock software which make sure things that much easier. Pros Gusto is easy to use. The price is much less then competitiors and it brings more value. Customer service is great! Cons During busy times of the year like tax season, it can be tough to get someone on the phone. The Help features and Customer service have been extremely helpful. As a part of a small business, this program is easy to use and i do not have very many questions from employees that are being onboarded. Pros I like that my paystubs are easily organized and at my fingertips. The site is very easy to use to find paystubs and benefits information. Cons I was helping one of my employees figure out how to change his state tax withholding and was not having any success until i looked in the help section. Fortunately, this must be a frequent issue because it was right at the top and was just the answer i needed! Notification was swift. An overall successful experience on the payroll recipient side. Pros The efficient, friendly manner in which my payment was sent to me. The prompt speedy notification. Everything was seamless and always successful. Cons I really am not aware of a Con for Gusto. As a funds recipient, I didn't have to deal with the other end. Any problems would have had to be there. Moreover, it is easy to use. An excellent feature of this is that it automatically calculates payroll taxes, automatically sends payments based on payrolls on a chosen plan. RECOMMENDED!! Cons Getting employees added to Gusto is a bit of a hassle with having to send email invites and then they have to install the software. Only time they can see full information is when signing in via a computer site. The interface seems so natural to setup and navigate. Has automation processes that make payrolls a breeze. There is also an option to add benefits and HR support that you should look into. Cons Only allowing two payroll schedules per month is a little weird but if it matches your existing schedule then it wont be a bother. There is also no weekend support. Review Source BM Benjamin M. I don't really have much to say about it except that my employer has forgotten to submit payroll a few times and I was paid late. If there was a reminder for them that would alleviate that situation. It was weird that I personally had to make an account with Gusto (and 3-4 other apps that my employer uses) in order to get scheduled/paid at my job. If this were done on the employer's end that would be more traditional and feel less "gig." It's not really a gig job, it's a full/part time usual job. It is nice to have the website to go view all my info at and any time, and not have to receive paper to inform me of my direct deposit. Pros It pays me my earnings and breaks down how my check is calculated. As an employee, I use it for free on my end. Cons On my paycheck it says I'm paid by Gusto, which was weird at first but not really a problem. The only issue I've experienced is when my employer didn't submit payroll on time and I was paid 3 days late. March 5, 2020 5.0 Overall I enjoyed the simplicity with it, and that we had more tools to use in our advantage (like the employees having an account to look up their pay stubs). helping all of our managers know the information they needed on the employees they managed. Pros We loved the user friendly aspect, the since of humor and how we were able to get employee files that they could be apart of as well! Cons The only downfall was that (at the time) they didn't have the ability to have over 100 employees, we are a medium business growing and realized it would be wise to look for another service that we would be able to grow into with out if feeling like a fire drill. They really helped me with my program installed in it and they really care about their customers and experiences. They are extremely supportive and helpful. Pros Gusto is a very good software with an adequate and user-friendly interface. The customer service is excellent because I had a problem with the software and they helped me to interoperate my payroll system and visualize the errors built into the system. I am delighted and satisfied with the software. Cons The disadvantage found with this software is that the layout of the website changes slightly and the integration of the system with this software is sometimes cumbersome. My paychecks are also accurate and received on time. I love how easy it is to pull tax information when it's time to file! Pros I'm just a user of this software with my company, but I love how easy it was to set up direct deposit and view/download paystubs.
