It was easy to get end of year documentation downloaded for tax purposes. Pros Gusto is an easy platform to use for payment. The format is very simple and clear. It is easy to locate information for tax purposes. Cons Gusto seems to have a longer turn around from initiating payment to deposit to employee's account. Cons It's hard to change personal information like addresses to be able to take money out of Gusto savings instantly instead of waiting a couple business days. It said my address on file did not match my the address on my card but would not let me change my address on file. December 4, 2025 2.0 Little to no valid customer service support. I submit for support and they tell me to do what i already tried. You dont get assigned 1 person, you get bounced around. Software is flawed for 401Ks. Pros NOTHING! First payroll service I tried and considering terminating their service. Descent monthly cost is my only positive. Cons Customer service is awful. Quickbooks maybe more expensive but definitely worth it rather then Gusto Pros Quickbooks is way easier to use. My accountant asked me to swap. Wish I never did Cons Customer service is horrible. I have been on the phone with them for over 11 hours 15 different times about a simple payroll set up. Everyone I talked to couldnt figure it out. Talked to a supervisor multiple times who told me they would call back. Of course never received a call back. My problem is so simple. Pay week is Monday to Sunday and paydate is 2 weeks later. Just had to improvise by waiting until I was on my laptop to submit my hours as it was daunting on the mobile app. Pros It can be as simple or as detailed as you need it to be. Through one office the info on it is minimal and basic as a 1099 contractor whereas at another office where I was employed as a W2 it had much more detail like employees needing to submit time tracking through it.
