Something simple and easy. Which they provide. But when you run into and issue or a problem you're on your own . Their customer support is not there for you . Trust me, we did before like 2-3x. Not only is the software easy to use but the customer service is excellent. They get back to you in a timely manner with a resolution. Pros Simplicity and ease of use are the two things that I like about Gusto. Even their website is simple yet very informative. These were the primary things that helped us decide to go with Gusto when we were switching from another software. Cons I've been using Gusto for almost a year now. Cons Have never had a major event (like annual benefits enrollment period) that didn't get messed up to at least some degree. Pros As an employee, Gusto makes it easy to see all of my employee information, ranging from bi-monthly payouts to tax related information. Cons I have not had a single problem with Gusto. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate for employees. My employer has reported a similar sentiment. It seems very flexible and does it's intended job very well. Cons I NEED a mobile app!! I hate having to clock in, in a web browser and login everyday. Sometimes I clock in 1 minute late because I am trying to re sign in through the web. It would be great to have a mobile app that allows the use of face ID and/or a PIN to quickly sign in and clock in. It's easy to assign staff to departments. Cons There are some minor features that I don't like. For example, I cannot look up an employees social security number from their profile. I have to run a report. I also can't open an employees profile in a new tab, so making changes to staff profiles requires a lot of back and forth and scrolling. Review Source ML Michael L. Cons some reports are sort of clunky, need to download first in CSV, then sort and filter the needed information does not integrate with Jobber (which we use for tracking hours) i wish there was a shorter turnaround for direct deposit Review Source EB Erica B. Pros It is so easy to maneuver through the website. I use it for payroll and health benefit processing, and marvel at how user friendly it is. I also love the little personal touches. Cons To be honest, there is very little that I dislike about the software, but I only use it for payroll and benefits. October 23, 2018 5.0 Pros We were having issues with having out site staff login to the site when they came in. Gusto solved all of our problems by providing a solution that made it easy to remember when to login and keep track of hours rather than manually submit time sheets every two weeks Cons It is still growing and evolving but I believe it will be on par with the top HR payroll technologies shortly. Before using Gusto, I was initially set-up with Quickbooks (all done myself). It was such a pain to make sure that payroll was done on time, that filings and taxes were paid on time, etc. With Gusto, everything is automatic. It's so easy, I love it! Cons Customer service isn't as quick as it used to be. It's still great by any measure, compared to other companies (you hear back within 1 day usually), but they used to have an immediate chat and I could get everything resolved immediately. This is to be expected with a growing company and again, comparing to most companies, the customer service is great! I would highly recommend it! Pros As a person who is just starting a small business and therefore doing it on the side of my primary employment, I really appreciate this software for tracking and reminding me about all of my HR compliance and payroll activities! I have enough HR awareness to know whether or not the software is doing all that is should, but the real life saver is that it tracks it, reminds me, and makes completing the documentation as simple as possible. Cons The only issue I had was setting up the initial sick time policy. I set it up according to the instructions and it kept reminding me to complete it despite having already done it (and I rechecked my work at least 3 times in response to the notification). Once we made the switch, I haven't had to think about payroll, and even some of our HR needs have now been covered. Pros Simple and easy to use experience. You set it up and forget about it. When you need to make small changes, it lets you and shows you how it will affect things. This is our best SaaS service regarding value. Cons Honestly, I really hate the new name and branding color red. So there's that. It's very beautifully designed, easy to navigate, and offers little delights, like telling you how much your paycheck would be in lemons or sponges (random, but entertaining). It allows insurance, 401k and other benefits all to be pulled in under one roof with my paycheck. It's a one-stop-shop for all things employee benefits. Cons I don't have a whole lot of negative things to report. The only thing that causes minor frustration is that I can never seem to quickly find my 401k benefits.
