Used the software for: ### "Best Payroll Software By Far!" April 13, 2017 5.0 I couldn't possibly say enough great things about Gusto. Gusto is a super user-friendly software and does all the work for you! It makes running payroll a piece of cake. By far my favorite thing about Gusto is their support staff. Any time I have have a question and have reached out to support, I have received an extremely prompt response, with a real person and a genuine concern to insure there is always a resolution. The support staff are truly genuine human beings, well-trained, and are very knowledgeable on the product. I have ZERO complaints and would highly recommend Gusto to any successful company looking for an exceptional payroll software. Thanks, Gusto! You have my vote. Sales and support are responsive. The tool is great and the team likes it better than what we switched from - - Quickbooks Payroll. Pros It is way easier to get set up in additional states as our remote team grows & people from around the country join the company. It is also simpler for our finance person to run payroll. Cons Unsure if the HR Support we've received has been a net positive. We are on a 'trial' of their expanded support offerings and are appreciative of them giving some direction, support, templates, etc but ultimately unsure if a lot of it was that applicable to a business of our size, stage, setup, etc. The general SaaS product is great though! Can only imagine this company will continue to improve. Cons The only con I can think of was how expensive it got when adding more employees. Wish there was a more cost effective plan when your business was growing. Pros When I started my business, I didn’t know the first thing about payroll. To be honest, I still don’t — and that makes me glad, because Gusto takes care of all of it for me. They deal with the taxes, government forms, and so much more. I literally love this software. Cons While full-time and part-time employees can be paid within 3 days of submitting payroll, contractors take 5 days to receive payment. I wish it didn’t take so much time. Now we OWN the process and the data. It's a very secure feeling with one less administrative chore to distract us from our company's primary focus. Pros We had an in-house CPA handling our payroll for years but there were a lot of mistakes and we had zero visibility into the process, year to date taxes, etc. With Gusto, the bi-weekly payroll process takes about 5 minutes. A ten year old could do it! Very simple user interface and online help. Cons Not much negative except the silly little messages ("hooray, you got paid today!") are a little over the top. It's pretty easy to customize to fit different pay schedules. Reporting is weak Pros All of the ux flows are very intuitive, support is quick to respond and helpful. You can have employees onboard themselves and put payroll on auto-pilot Cons reporting is not good, you cannot get tabular reports in a spreadsheet. Gusto interfaces with Xero beautifully. Cons I wish there was a way to suspend the monthly charges when we skip payroll and still have the tax forms filed. We also had a disappointing customer service experience. They solved the problem and paid the late fee, but they didn't offer any other compensation for lost time. Only issue is the reports aren't the easiest to read or get. Pros Simple user interface makes entering info easy. Everything is digital so there's no clutter with paperwork and keeping the documents is easy. Cons It's all to impersonal and if I want to speak with someone it's either on the phone or through email. Pros For the most part I like Gusto. It's easy for me to use to pay out employees, contractors, etc. It allows me to get more done in less time because I can have my new hires fill out their paperwork online, and the payroll reminder is nice since I get so busy sometimes it good to get a reminder to hit the pay button. Gusto offered the same service, offered training to run payroll and support trhough their customer service team. Really helpful. Pros The website is extremely user-friendly, intuitive, nice design and helpful. Having this right side section with recommendation (either for administrator or employee view) Cons The only concern about GUSTO is not referred to its software but to the 'Contact Us' option. It tracks the employee's time reporting and it makes it very easy for these organizations to pay their employees.
