Something I never had with my old job where I had to request for paystubs to make sure the tax deductions were right and for my own records as well. Pros I love that I am informed about when I am getting paid, and all my documents including w2, w4 and other related work documents. Also, my hours worked, 401k contribution and all the taxes that are deducted from my paycheck. The site is so simple to access and I have everything at my fingertips. The other benefit of gusto is the the options they offer if I want to save by being able to put part of of paycheck to different bank accounts and also being able to have a personal saving goals. Gusto also offers a debit card linked to my saving goal and I can use at my convenience. Cons What I don't like the least really is minor. Talent management part is not available due to which not a complete hcm solution. Pros I like that I can refer back to this software to see date of hire, salary, and track my PTO and vacation hours remaining. Even at my previous company which was a much smaller startup, Gusto still caused a lot of reporting problems and didn't meet our needs. Pros User interface is attractive and easy to navigate Cons It could serve no other purpose for our organization aside from our regularly scheduled payroll, and deductions were hard to figure out state-to-state in our growing company. Pros I appreciated the customization and automation available in the dashboard and how simple it was to generate tax statements and contractor payouts. Cons It was expensive for what it offered, and ended up being overkill for my needs. Also, my former bookkeeper messed up my taxes for the past fiscal year, paying it through Gusto, and I've still not gotten the refund 10 months later. THey've been helpful but it would have been more helpful had they caught the original error in reporting. Its ease of integration into workflow no matter the company size is fantastic. Pros Used this software for payroll purposes at the last company I was with. The user interface was incredibly simple to use, easy to read, and with a nice intuitive design and colors. It made the mundane task of managing payroll and paystubs much easier and efficient. On the side of receiving pay, this app worked well! The email notification system that was built in was also prompt. Cons During all my time of using the software, I actually haven't ran into any issues, which is quite exceptional. Running reports, and providing access to employees is also very easy. Customer support is good. Cons We've had a couple issues in terms of misinformation coming from their team about start dates for employees switching . I personally like being able to see my check amount, the taxes break down, etc. right in the email rather than having to log into the actual account. Several employees have also commented that they enjoy the fun "Did You Know" facts that are included in the emails. Cons There's not a whole lot I don't like. So far everything has been positive. I am an end-user that first started using Gusto at my new job. The platform is so well thought out and easy to navigate. I am able to request time off, check my benefits and donate to non-profits all from one platform! The customer service is quick and super helpful as well. I can not recommend this platform enough! Cons Insurance can sometimes take a while to come through on the platform and there is no information on the platform telling you of the status so you need to call Gusto support to get real-time info. Cons The pay stubs must be downloaded as PDF which makes viewing them on the phone difficult, only a portion of the pay stub is able to be seen. I can't imagine going back to our old clunky third party system that we used to manage payroll and benefits. Once you use Gusto, you'll forget about everyone else. Pros It's incredibly easy to set up and manage and they provide great customer service. The user experience is intuitive and friendly and is good from both an admin perspective as well as an employee perspective. It makes managing payroll easy while also allowing employees to easily access pay stub, get notifications, and even manage their benefits. This isn't too much of a con because everything I need is there. " December 9, 2019 5.0 Every other Monday I simply just log on to Gusto and hit “run payroll”. 4 days later my bank account is very happy. Enough said. Pros Great product! I am a small business owner and this makes my life so much easier. What I love most is it allows me to focus more on running the business and making money rather that sitting around cramming numbers and filing out IRS forms. Cons The price is a little steep, but I get why it costs what it does. If it was 30 bucks a month it would be the greatest product on earth.
