Pros I can't remember how we came across this software but it is fantastic! We've used it for over 2 years now. We love the layout of the quotes, the fact you can add photos, can send follow ups, it shows you when the quote was opened, client's can accept quotes or ask a question through it and it's all logged, there are notes for internal communication and the analytics help us understand how many quotes accepted, average value and total value, and can be looked at over a month, a year, all time. And, it integrates with Xero for one click invoice creation! A fantastic tool in our arsenal! Always recommending it to other businesses similar to ours (trades). Great. We used to send quotes back and forth with clients on my business when they wanted a change in a quote, now they can modify whatever they want in the quotes. Less human error and less time lost. Cons There's nothing bad, just things that would be useful are: a way to leave only the accessories or price items the client selected when printing a quote or downloading as pdf, and anchored final price while clicking the options on a quote, so the client can select products while seeing the final price always. It puts them in control of their budget and what they intend to spend, and also explains in detail and pictures what our services/products are. I’ve received a lot of feedback and we’ve experienced more closings of jobs. Pros The simplicity and the ease of use. It’s not overly complicated and makes it easy to build out a quote of varying degrees. Cons I don’t like that quotient doesn’t have features for converting the quotes to invoices, and receiving payments. You can integrate with QuickBooks, but our business would be able to eliminate QuickBooks if we were able to handle estimates, invoices and payments thru Quotient. I would also like to see a more complex scenarios for either or options, because some choices in products necessitate additional optional services that go with it. Pros We love how easy and straightforward it is. Being able to use Quotient for our estimates really sets apart from other contractors and our clients are always telling us how much they like the way our estimates look, how easy they are to read and that they love the "optional" option which allows us to make our quotes a la carte'! Cons I wish there was a way to delete quotes and for Quotient to connect to Wave for invoice processing. Or if Quotient had an option for sending invoices/receiving payments would be even better. I've never used any other proposal generating software so I have nothing to compare it to but I'm very impressed. I'm super picky about user interfaces and intuitive software. The people who created this are genuses. Also, it is really nice that they send out emails for feedback and take the time to personally respond. Their customer service aspect is great and it is so nice to to have my input and ideas valued, validated and appreciated! Pros I LOVE the user-friendly interface of the software and the customizable line items. I LOVE that it is all done online with quick access for clients including accepting contracts and the convenience of the Q&A section for multiple CCs on a single proposal. My management updates the pricing in each line item annually and it makes keeping up with price increases super easy! Being able to include photos of what the products look like is so helpful. There really are just too many great things to say about this software. Cons I hope to see collapsible line items in the future. My proposals are super detailed because I think it is important to educate people so they can make informed decisions. However, when doing add-on options and providing multiple (Good/better/best) options for desired services, the quote gets really overwhelming and LONG. If the line items were collapsible they would be able to find options easier/with less confusion and it wouldn't seem like so much content in their face all at once. Review Source PK Paul K. It is exactly the tool we needed to solve our cost to quote problem which was limiting our business growth. Our time to generate a quote went from 4-6 person hours to a matter of minutes, and our number of quotes generated and contracts signed has increased dramatically. We did not need a complicated system, we just needed an easy to use way to make consistent quotes without a ton of effort, and Quotient fills that need for us perfectly. Pros The interface is brilliantly designed to be simple and easy to use while offering options for customization in an insightful way. FOr our company, it has saved hundreds of hours of staff time that used to be spent generating quotes manually by automating repeated quotes with templates and offering a great interface for customizing quote content in a consistent and professional format. Cons That I didn't have it years ago. While we have used it for a year and a half, the time it took to generate a quote before then still haunts me. There are some custome features we would like, but the product grows to add things at a measured pace to keep it simple. Our quotes were bland and boring it took ages to get basic quotes out and literally hours to do more complex quotes. Trying to keep track of when a client accepted a quote was a nightmare. We tried a few different quoting systems over the course of a few months and nothing compared to Quotient. Besides what I mention above, which is minor, it is arguably the best business app I have used. There are very few systems which have made such a significant difference to my day-to-day life. I would not have believed, before implementing Quotient, that changing a company's method of quoting would have a positive, instantly noticeable impact on sales and customer satisfaction. I honestly enjoy doing quotes now and probably do 3 times more than I normally would as it is so quick and easy. It has also streamlined our internal processes, as all quotes and accepted quotes are easily viewed and managed in a neat dashboard. All I can say is just try it you will not be disappointed. Pros The software is simple to use and intuitive - it requires the absolute minimal amount of clicks, making it fast to churn out quotes. The software's interface is fun to use and aesthetically pleasing. Quotient has features I would never have thought to use on a quote. These features seemed like frills but when used make a huge difference to quotes and how clients interact with them. The ability to add pictures to line items, have optional items, multiple choice items, recurring billing items and editable quantities - all on a single concise interactive quote - is amazing. My clients love interacting with quotes, choosing what they want and changing quantities. This saves me the hassle of re-quoting and having multiple revisions of quotes to manage. The system comes with a host of other features all of which I use, e.g. E-Acceptance that works, easy way to store and search through old quotes, the ability to add items into stock from old quotes, stats on quote acceptance and sales amounts. Cons If I had to nitpick, in the layout of the final quote the client receives I would like the quantity field to be in a separate field not in the same field as the item price. December 6, 2016 4.0 I recently started using the Quotient online quoting system after I was introduced to it by my brother. I immediately started using it. The very first quote I did was accepted and I was so excited! I have used it ever since and the more I use it the more I love it. In my business, we service and support small to medium sized business for all the IT needs and these days you have to be very quick and on the ball with quoting. The Quotient online systems make this very easy and extremely convenient since you have all your quotes in one place, you can also create templates from your quotes as often you like. We will be quoting different customers on the same solutions. Also the fact that you can very easily show the spend split on a quote between once off charges and monthly re-accruing charges is just perfect for our quotes. The other nice features are the ability for the customer to be able to view the quote online, which means that the customer will essentially be able to view the quote on any device, like a mobile phone or tablet and not just his PC/Laptop, so there and then the customer is able to make a decision and accept the quote online as well, after which we immediately get notified. This in its self also allows for a much quicker turn around time for us in terms of the admin side of the process since we are then able to immediately issue invoices and collect any payments or deposits due, before starting any new project for a client. In the long term, this assists us great in managing our cash flows, especially on large projects. There are many other useful features, like the ability to put in the cost prices on quoted items and set a default markup percentage, which can the be adjusted per line item on the fly if required. Same stock items from different templates will also link up in database style list so that you are able to simply type in a stock code and if it has been used before it will come up. However, I do feel that the ability to be able to import a list of stock items with the required fields is a feature that is not yet available and I am hoping that the developers will take this into consideration eventually and implement this type of functionality. All in all a GREAT find in terms of a "cloud-based" quoting system and ideal for any company that is on a cloud migration strategy to move as many daily business functions into the cloud space. The integration with MailChimp and QuickBooks is also a huge benefit to automating our systems! We've given access to almost every member of our staff, who now feel empowered to complete sales on their own. This has led to faster sales and happier customers who can get a purchase done immediately, even when talking with a designer or programmer about an upgrade. Cons I know that the digital acceptance counts legally, but I'd still love for clients to be able to sign their signature on our sales tablet screen for acceptance. But this product should not be a released product for reason cited above. They say they will put the product improvement idea "read a last name merge field"???? in as a suggested feature for some future release, but if they have made any improvements to their product over the last 2 years I have not seen it. Cons It does not have many of the most basic features: Like a last name merge field. REALLY????? Very limited on how you can format your quotes, fonts, and color of everything. I am also able to use a template. this serves me a great deal of time Pros I started using Quotient just when Covid-19 and lockdown started. I reached out to the Quotient team and asked for an extension of the trial period and they agreed to grant me access until the end of June. This allowed me to save a little on cost and gave me enough time to try the product. They are quick to jump in and help when I have queries or if I struggled with the system. Cons The only thing I wish for is that it be able to generate repeating invoices on a monthly basis directly from Quotient into Xero.
