Pros

Ease of onsite check-in of delegates and sessions check in function. It is FAST.

Cons

GEVME can improve their attendee report to add in promo code in column for export.

### "Fundraising Event"

It was a least expensive option for our needs since we are a small nonprofit organization and we only use the software one to two times a year for events.

Pros

It is user friendly on the back end and the front end Was able to pull up reports quickly

Cons

There were some issues with payment for some people; was never able to figure out if it was the product or the user Took a long time to get invoiced and then the calculations were not accurate

Reason for choosing GEVME

My predecessor chose the GEVME platform, but it was affordable and easy to use and implement.

### "Half baked product with subpar support."

Their support has been the most frustration thing to deal with. We are paying for a PRO account which has priority support, but support will take over 24 hours to get back to us, and it's not unusual for me to need to chase them up to even get a reply back. Their support team works 5 days a week from 9am to 6pm GMT+8, so you will not get any answers on their weekends or outside of these hours. I probably wouldn't have written this review if it wasn't for the subpar support we have been getting compared to what we are paying.

Pros

It's easy to set up and get running. It's not too difficult to use.

Cons

So the platform feels half baked and there are a lot of strange design decisions that have been made. Most of these cause minor frustrations, but the biggest issue is for each ticket that a customer purchase you need to supply an email address. So not only do your customers have to supply an email address to register (which is good), but they need to supply and email address for each ticket they purchase. So if some one buys 10 tickets, they need to supply 11 email addresses. We just need them to supply one. The reporting isn't as robust as we need it to be. You can pull reports on orders, and reports on tickets, but you cannot pull a report on which tickets have completed payments. So if a customer purchase multiple tickets, there is no way of know what type of tickets they have paid for. The UX is lacking as well. eg: To manage users you go to the admin dash board, there is a section here for users. In this user section here you can see what users are set up and you have the ability to suspend a user. If you want to edit or add users though you need to go to the Organization section, then click on another user section there, which then gives the ability to edit or add users. Not a major issue, but it's an example of one of many small annoyances. Also, there isn't any proper documentation available, so if you cannot figure out how to do something, you need to get in touch with their support team.

Reason for choosing GEVME

Sales person I was dealing with was helpful and understanding. GEVME price came in a little bit lower than the other competitors. I wanted to go with Eventbank but we could only use Payfort payment gateway with them, and it has been impossible for us to create a payfort account. Once our contract is up with GEVME we will probably look for another option.

We've had an excellent experience working with Gevme.

Pros

Their team has consistently demonstrated exceptional support and assistance, particularly when urgent changes are required. Their proactive approach in suggesting improvements and solutions to our requests has been invaluable.

Cons

Gevme might work on adding an order confirmation receipt feature after the ticket is tagged as paid.

### "Unreliable RSVP template that fails to work once a month"

Pros

Fanciful functions that makes plenty of promises

Cons

Unreliable RSVP template that fails to work quite frequently. Every month, I will need to contact the Helpdesk to report the faulty RSVP Button template, and the Helpdesk will take at least two to three working days to troubleshoot the RSVP template. Very poor coding.

The Gevme team very helpful when we transitioned to the new system, which made our team get used to it with relative ease. Plus, you have the option of using templates for standard events or customized templates when you're jazzing up your event formats, it's nice to have one software that can cater to all your needs.

I had used EventBrite for online registrations prior to being introduced to GEVME. There is simply no comparison with regard to ease of use, value, and customer service. The reps are incredibly helpful and made the transition to GEVME easy as can be. I highly recommend GEVME!
