It is easy to use and makes my classes start off quickly and seamlessly. Pros I love the attendance taking feature. It is super easy to check students as present or absent and submit it. I also like that you can label a student as a trial so I know who is registered and who is new. December 12, 2024 5.0 I do really love the versatility of DanceStudio-Pro, and how easy it is to use. I feel comfortable in its system, and it makes it really easy to contact students. Pros DSP is very user friendly, and makes it easy to see and run tuition, enroll students in classes, and send out emails. Cons The fact that customers have to make an account before selecting classes to enroll in (versus selecting a class to enroll in and then only after creating an account) was a barrier that ultimately made us leave the platform for our child/teen classes. When over 50% of your clients can’t log in it defeats the purpose of using the website. I asked for them to waive the fee for a fee months due to the issues we had all last season. They were unwilling to do so, so my prescription to their will expire towards the end of September. I refuse to $45 a month as a nonprofit dance business when my customers can’t log in and my staff has to keep resending parents links. Like they do not know how to log in. One of my parents is a business owner and she does a website similar to this one for her clients and she has no issues at all. Pros Was easy to set up and easy for parents to see each item itemized. Cons Parents hardly being able to access parent portal to pay and consistently getting logged out. They try to tell you that you do not contact them because apparently their link to get help doesn’t directly work thru their website. March 12, 2020 5.0 DanceStudio-Pro is a very complete and robust tool, available in its web version and a mobile application, it stands out from other programs available in the market thanks to its functionality and that it is easy to use, it improved notably my efficiency as a dance teacher since it allowed me to establish a better organization of my classes and students, the experience that I obtained since I began to use it has been wonderful and it has allowed me to increase my portfolio of clients Pros It offers the possibility to efficiently manage your dance classes, customers, attendance records or automation of that billing process, online registration, scheduling, however at the personal level the feature that I use most and the one I like best in this program is the management of recitals, which together with the mobile application of the program allows me to manage my business in a simple and efficient way, so I devote more effort and concentration to the man hours used in the realization of the dance classes that in the administrative part , which I find great additionally has a very intuitive interface so it does not require learning curve. Another aspect to highlight is its price, it is very affordable so it can be used from small businesses or personal ventures to large dance academies. Cons One limitation is that its mobile application is only available for iOs operating systems (iPad, iPhone and iPod.), I would like an update to expand its compatibility with the Android system. It saves a ton of time when there's inclement weather. Very easy to track and process tuition. You can also use it on many interfaces. February 23, 2016 5.0 We are a studio with 3 different locations, different timetables and students crossing over from one to all three studios each week. This has all the potential for an administrative nightmare but thanks to DSP, it's easy! We made the change to DSP last year after being with on previous dance studio software for 9 years, so yes, we were a little nervous and had done a lot of research on available products. I can honestly say we have not had one minute where we regret moving to DSP - it's fantastic! And if I could possibly give 10 gold stars for customer service, I would. With us being in Australia, and DSP in the USA, support was always going to be a huge "selling point" for us. I cannot recommend or congratulate their support team enough. It doesn't matter when I email them with a question, they are fast to reply. And very friendly too! No "techy talk" - just plain and easy to understand. Thanks DSP - we love all the new updates that you consistently provide. And as yet, we have had no downtime at all, so 10 out of 10. Review Source JM Jessica M. Dance is going to save the dance school. 30 day free trial was great to start getting your head around the software and then anytime you encounter problems, you just email them and a quick, clear response is quickly provided - the fact that the company is in America and we are in Australia is no problem! We love that the software is specific to dance, it really does have everything you could need to run a dance school...and the parents LOVE the parent portal and the ability to enrol and pay online. From online registration, monthly payments, attendance, costuming and recital planning, we do it all through this system. Cons We separate our classes up my grade level. We would love the option to add the students grade level into their registration information but then for that information to automatically update, much like their age does. We currently have that information in our “Additional Data” but we manually have to update the information each year. Pros Used to be price now that has been taken away. Cons They have just raised the prices which is about the only thing that made their program good. They try to push their customers to make choices that only benefit them and not the customer for example limiting merchant processors that are available. Also they just planned a price hike doubling some of our monthly fee to them. But parents can not easily set up auto pay! So none of the reports or dashboards mean much if you can’t get paid.the most important element of a software system is to make collecting money as easy as pressing a button. This is not. They need to fix this if they want to keep their current subscribers. Cons Collecting tuitionAnd way too many reportsReports are not named or categorized in a way to keep up with.
