Pros

This product is very user friendly. It's easy to teach new technicians how to use the software within the first day of employment.

Cons

The repair list takes some getting used to. You have to learn the lingo to find specific repairs. Once you find the repair you are looking for, you can add it to your favorites for next time.

We have had no major issues using this program. A plus it does sync with quickbooks as well.

Pros

This program is very user friendly. It has really nice options for the information that is needed to be entered.

Cons

The archived invoices and the calendar are frustrating at times. You have to click back on the calendar.

No more carrying around huge price books! Customers love the fact they can see what all customers pay and know they are being treated fairly.

Pros

The program itself is awesome! Before the new update I could make and complete a ticket in minutes ease of use and teach ability to new techs was outstanding. Go back to before the new update!

Cons

The new search option is terrible. It deletes everything I type into it because it's trying to "guess" what I'm looking for!And makes finding parts so much harder!. Just slows the system down and becomes a pain.

I have been happy with Coolfront. The customer service is prompt. The software has made the paperwork end of the job much faster for our techs while in the field and time is money!

Pros

The ease of use is wonderful with Coolfront. Its very user friendly with a large database. Seeing an average of what is being charged for services from others is great.

Cons

This software would be better if you were able to search a service and then manipulate the price if you dont agree with the charge. I know you can do customs, but that is limited. Easily manipulated pricing, on the spot during a search, would be a great improvement.

Overall a good program and handy for service technicians. So much easier to read than the hand writing of some of the technicians out there.

Pros

I like that my technicians can get glance backs of previous visits to customers homes. Also like that there is a spot that we can share information with our technician on the ticket that can't be seen by the customer.

Cons

I would like to be able to time stamp start and stop times of tickets as well as search past ticket by typing in a date rather than have to scroll through months and months.

Pros

Ease of entry to product and availability. Cost has no major upfront risk and no contracts. great for one or two man shops, nice amount of tasks available and muti trade for same cost

Cons

can NOT edit labor, creator will NOT allow import to service management platforms materials used in tasks are becoming outdated . the add ons are nice but payzer is ripping us off big time at 3.1% overall assuming there is a affiliate reward system in place. parts cart did not operate correctly in trial

Needs lots of work, i have 15 years of service experience and have owned my own business. I was able to do the things I named I can’t do I could do with QuickBooks

Pros

I don’t like much about it, needs tons of work! I guess it could be better if they fix all the issues.

Cons

I have tons of issues with cool front being in the field on a tablet or smartphone ( I have all Apple Products ) i can’t go back and forth between apps like email, I have to start completely over. You can’t search for customers by name or address. It only allows me to print one out of 3 times I try. 50/50 shot of finding the part number you're looking for,

Pros

I use coolfront on a daily basis and without it there would be a lot of lost jobs. We can quote water heater replacements and some repairs directly from the office. Our technicians use ipads on the site to run the program and collect payment - it is simple for them and gets payment quickly.

Cons

The new search feature is worse than the previous search feature. However the Coolfront team is constantly making changes, updates, and actually listening to customers in making improvements.

Pros

Large database of parts and repairs. Works in areas without an internet connection. Pay as you go. Zero cost.

Cons

The app seems to pick the worst time to update. It doesn't have a way to initiate the update on your own.

A problem we found with Coolfront: When an invoice is generated in Coolfront, sales tax is added to it. Fine. When it syncs to Quickbooks, sales tax is added again. Not Fine. We have to manually go in and tweak each and every single invoice generated by Coolfront. I personally brought this to the attention of a CF representative, and the attitude I got was "that's not our problem, that's a QB problem." I feel that since CF is designed to work with QB, not the other way around, it is indeed a CF issue. But that was months ago and the issue still has not been corrected. I invite a CF rep to fix this issue (not just post a reply trying to convince other readers that this problem doesn't exist), and I will gladly post a glowing review of how attentive you were. Dear readers: if you don't see a follow up review from me that these problems have been corrected, you can safely assume that they haven't.

Once again, I'm sorry to hear about any difficulty you have had with Coolfront/QuickBooks taxes. Just to recap the resolution ... to avoid double-taxation from both apps, it's important to either: A) Set your QuickBooks preferences to not charge sales tax or B) Set up a 0% sales tax item to apply to invoices added via Coolfront Sync. Just so you know, all taxes calculated in Coolfront are recorded in a liability account that you can report on for filing purposes. While it's not a common process, it's the one we have found to be the most useful and correct for our customers. We hope you understand. As always, please call us with any questions at 888-229-4100.

Overall any system, in this case, Cool Front flat rate pricing that helps us run our business smoother is great.

Pros

What I appreciate most about cool front is that their pricing software integrates well with another system we use in our company (Fieldegde). It's makes pricing services easier!

Cons

Like any flat-rate pricing software it's close but every local market varies is cost of living (wages paid to employees etc.) is overhead that goes into the mark up so although it's pretty good I can't say its perfect.

I like having a web-based invoice it helps my customer be able to organize our transaction and keep records a lot more simple what the less of a chance to lose the invoice like most filed paperwork in the average home

Cons

Sometimes the navigation can be aggravating and sometimes you will type things in I believe around and then get booted off of the application and lose the information in which you have typed however this does not happen very often

Integration with QuickBooks integration with Google Calendar and I feel it makes me more profitable

Pros

I like the offline capabilities the flat rate pricing and the ability to search for parts. The fact that it works with QuickBooks is awesome and the glance back feature for customers is really nice to be able to see what you've done in the past at that particular account

Cons

I don't like the fact that some manufacturers and some part numbers are not supported. It is not easy to make a custom services on the user end also a really big con is a user cannot see the price for a part or service before adding it to a work order

We have four techs running and three people in the office we rely solely on this to work for our scheduling and it keeps dropping service calls so that the tech cant see them anymore but the office can.. it also freezes on our desktop versions in the middle of a rush so we cant enter or see work orders. The interrogation with google calendar and cool front we also tried to use and it caused mass confusion in the office because if you had to change something on the calendar to give it to another tech it would delete the work order completely it was a nightmare!
