Pros

This software/program is so easy to use. You just search, click and it's done and on your service tickets! So simple!

Cons

It doesn't have a way to upload pictures nor documents. This is very important feature when your service workers are in the field.

Consistent pricing from customer to customer for similar repairs. Flat rate pricing also helps us to charge appropriate prices that are fair for both us and the customer.

Pros

Available in the cloud, so it's accessible anywhere. The software also works offline, for the most part. The best part is that the software is based on flat rate pricing, and that makes pricing and completing work orders fast.

Cons

Sometimes finding repairs in the database is a difficult task. Although the search function gets better over time, some repairs just don't seem to come up when searching for the logical keywords that you would first think to use.

it was very easy to set up, its easy to update prices and/or change parameters.

Cons

Only real compliant is the rapid increasing cost. the 18 months i have been involved the monthly price has increased 4 times without any real upgrades to the software.

CoolFront is a way to economically get into electronic invoicing. since we have started with CoolFront they have added more repairs. They do a good job of listening to me to help keep cost up to date.

Pros

After investing electronic devices you have electronic invoices. as you build a customer base CoolFront will populate the invoice for you. This saves time and helps the techs get the right invoice information.

Cons

Every once and a while the program will do something goofy.

Coolfront is a good operating system that does perform well for our technicians. When it comes to searching for cost of repairs, there are many repairs that are not included in their database. There are also SO many multiple or duplicate repair entries that the search for a repair you want takes more time than the repair itself at times. Other than that it performs well with all our entries and searching prior work is great with the archive feature.

Pros

Very searchable archives for past work done.

Cons

So many multiple or duplicate repairs with the same description and cost for repair but has a different code number so it makes searching for specific repairs difficult at times

Pros

The ease of using it. It's up front and easy to use. It's very self explanatory. It gives you all of the fields that need to be filled in. I also love that it has internal notes section where we can write notes that only the office can see

Cons

That we get charged when we have to go in and change a name or address or customer info on an invoice

Higher service sales and collections have improved.

Pros

User friendly, integrates with QuickBooks and Google calendar, simple and effective, incorporates the cost of the work order in the price of the job.

Cons

Sometimes duplicates customers already in QuickBooks. Other than that, we are doing quite well with Coolfront

To be able to include notes that are hidden from customers and also notes that customers can see. We like the ability to sync with Quick Books.

Pros

very easy to use Mobile friendly scheduling off line is easy like how it keeps me logged on price is pretty comparable to other software

Cons

the pricing of equipment side of the software does not have map location of employees routing of jobs uploading pictures to include with work order

From a "dispatch" perspective, coolfront is untouchable. Enter calls on the fly, invoice, take payments, and capture signatures easier then any other software out there. We've used Coolfront now for a little over a year and we love the concept and ease of use. This is what has kept us using coolfront, but as our business has grown and our needs matured, we have recently started exploring other software to replace. Where they fall short: -customer history: there is no tangible customer history list or database to explore IN THE SOFTWARE. you can query "the cloud" an invisible archive by searching a name, address ,ect ect.. and hope it plucks out the invoice but its very common for this not to work. you can upload to quickbooks, which is never a smooth transition, and is rather inconvenient when you need to find work history without jumping out of one platform into another. -Service agreement mngmnt: they do offer a separate software, but it does not integrate with coolfront invoicing therefor does not flag you if the call is a contract client, or handles their adjusted pricing. Plus the software was extremely overpriced compared to other ALL IN ONE softwares on the market. Coolfront would greatly benefit by integrating the two. - no way to edit a line item on the invoice, if you type it wrong or need to edit the price, you have to erase and start all over. this can become annoying. - there is no way to track equipment on the job site, model serial, units, ect ect.... All softwares have their pros and cons... in my opinion if coolfront made the improvements listed above, they would dominate

It has cut down on paperwork tremendously

Pros

I like that it syncs with Quickbooks and makes dispatching easy. Adding repairs is easy and all the technicians are using the same prices by using Coolfront.

Cons

It needs to have some kind of notification to the technician when a work order is added to their schedule. As it is, they have to remember to check for new work orders.

Pros

Great selection of repairs items to use. Very easy training for our technicians. Works very well on phone or ipad for our technicians.

Cons

Finding previous call in archive. Filter system is touchy and has to be exact, can't be close. When scrolling if you click on call, then it goes all the way back to the beginning.

Pros

They are constantly updating their database and software. We rarely have issues with it's functionality. You can use it offline so if you don't have reception it will still work and you can then have it sync the next time you do.

Cons

The parts database is not comprehensive enough for a residential and commercial HVAC company. You can't import the database into Desco / ESC dispatching software.

Pros

My techs can add pricing on the spot and my customer immediately gets to approve and get a receipt.

Cons

Difficulty finding repairs. Would love if the data base was broke down where if its a plumbing call, the technician only sees plumbing repairs and if it is a hvac repair, the technician only sees hvac repairs. Also, would like to be able to set different price points for plumbing vs. hvac. The plumbing quite often seems a little high for our area while the hvac is on target, but we can't differentiate rates or mark ups for each trade.

Maintaining our customers and being able to email them through Coolfront has been easier than us always mailing out receipts and invoices.

Pros

The technicians are able to find every repair that is needed to complete their service call without having to constantly call into the office.

Cons

Coolfront has been wonderful and the only issue we have is we would like to see the entire month available rather than today , tomorrow etc.

Less handwritten tickets. Auto entry to Quickbooks, easier entries to customer files, the ability to keep techs informed. Ability to track parts on order...

Pros

Easy to use. Super simple changing things. I love the internal notes for privacy. It's an easy program to teach new staff. I love the auto populating feature from Quickbooks records.

Cons

It's a bit expensive. I don't like that if I make a mistake with pricing, I get charged for another ticket. I wish it has a more detailed billing, it seems as tho I get billed a lot, but there is no way to prove it....

Keeps cost more consistent company wide and provides room for specific call details we weren't able to keep organized in the past.

Pros

I can be detail oriented when writing invoices. I can show the customer and email on the spot their actual cost and its legible.

Cons

Parts search(especially the new format) can be frustrating. More so dues to "wording" and the search engine doesn't "connect the dots" so to speak.
