Pros: Product is intuitive and easy to use. It also embeds easily with my website. Customer service is quick and responsive.

Cons: As a tour operator we have multiple items to sell that are similar. Not being able to copy listings or create a template is very time consuming.

Pros: Easy to use as an operator and the front end is built to be very user friendly. Full app functionality makes sure every manager has Xola at their fingertips. The updates keep making the platform better and better.

Cons: The platform is so simple and easy to use that it sacrifices some of the options to customize. (However, most of our concerns have been added in through updates)

Pros: I like the easy to use buttons and how to keep track of what coupons are working and which are not

Cons: It did take awhile to get used to it but when i did figure it out it is simple to use

Pros: The customization of the platform for our small business. I also realy like being able to chat with a real live person when I have an issue. 85% of the time the issue is resolved. The help center is another valuable resource.

Cons: Some processes take too much stroking to get through. And some processes aren't as obvious to achieve. A static icon is easier to deal with than one that isn't visible until you hover over it! Who would know to hover over a certain spot on the screen?!

Overall: It's really pretty easy to use once you understand it. The live chat has been a life saver.

Pros: I love the platform's ease of use, for both the customer and the user. When using previous platforms, we had customers calling continually because they were unable to complete transactions because they were confused with the setup. And, for the back-end user, it is a breeze! In fact, we never even had to train our employees to use Xola. The backend is extremely intuitive.

And, I can't say enough about Xola's customer support. It's the best of any platform I've used. If I have a problem, Xola's chat is ALWAYS available. I also appreciate the backend functionality of being able to refund customers with store credit. The system automatically emails the customer a promo code for future use and stores the information within our system. Rebooking previous customers is also a breeze!

And, what's BEST for me, is Xola's pricing model. We live in an area with a very high sales tax and I did not want to have to charge our customers an additional 6%. With Xola, we get an incredible platform (that more than pays for itself with the "abandoned shopping cart" feature) for a flat monthly rate.

Xola is also continually tweaking the platform, making it better. The most recent backend mobile update is incredible -- giving me near full functionality from the ease of my iPad.

Cons: As for cons, yikes. I really can't think of anything. When I do come across functionality features that I would like to see, I have easy access to suggest my solutions. What's even better? Xola actually listens.

Pros: Ease of scheduling staff for our games. Able to access full desktop version on mobile. Clean and easy to use for end users.

Cons: Can't get API with flat rate version. Occasional bugs on android browser (app will be great but not fully complete.) Need to be able to over ride feature that prevents guides from being assigned to overlapping events.

Cons: The wording used on the page to create coupons is a little difficult to follow. It could be clearer.

Pros: I like that I can easily see my trip offerings and make real time adjustments to the bookings. I also like that I can set up different campaigns for promotions and discounts.

Cons: I am trying to find a better way to book combo trips that offer two different activities. I did have difficulty viewing the training videos because my internet was too slow.

Pros: Pass through charge. The rest is ok.

Cons: The app is really buggy and doesn't have most of the functionality of the website. It also doesn't show the amount someone paid when you go to approve their group on the app.

Pros: Booking is seamless and easy. No complicated setup or development required to get this started. The customizations are nice as well for things such as booking buttons.

Cons: I've had some issues with tracking and reporting for our ads. The documentation is simple but sometimes leaves something to be desired.

Overall: Simple booking integration.

Pros: The customer service at Xola can not be beat...24/7. They are patient, helpful and do what it takes to resolve any question or issue or find a work around when we need something that isn't already built into the system.

Cons: I would like more features available on the mobile app. It does the basics, but would like full functionality. Thankfully they are always working to improve it.

Overall: Ease of scheduling clients, confirmation, reminder and review emails sent to guests who book.

Pros: -- 24 hour customer support available by chat
-- Clients stay on my website while booking tickets for my escape rooms using Xola
-- Automated reminder e-mails
-- Ability to customize questionnaire and booking requirements
-- A salesperson quoted me a price and stuck to it

-- Great Credit Card processing rate (through Stripe)
-- Ability to integrate with Google Cal so staff can see when they are scheduled to work
-- Instigation with Smartwaiver (limited, would like more)

Cons: LIMITED CLOSING OPT:
You can set sessions to have cut off times. This is important but when I used FareHarbor it allowed me to keep sessions open if the session was partially sold. I would like this feature on Xola. Currently there has to be a hard cut off time -- or I have to keep the session open until it's start time.

LIMITED INTEGRATIONS//NO CRM CAPABILITIES:
The system doesn't integrate with MailChimp, it integrates with Smartwaiver but on a limited basis. For example if Joe books 6 tickets Xola captures Joes information. His 5 friends information is added on Smartwaiver but then I have to dig into Smartwaiver to find their info. I doesn't turn them into a customer profile even through Smartwaiver waiver is connected to Xola. It doesn't integrate with Trip Advisor Review Express -- so I have to manually enter each customer e-mail between Smartwaiver and Xola.

BUGS & UPDATES:
They are constantly making changes. Sometimes I log on and have to look for something in a new place (updates are always accompanied by e-mails) however, I would prefer to choose if I want to update features or not. Sometimes these updates and improvements cause bugs -- At one point a bug was impacting my settings. It took them over a week to solve the problem and I didn't get any kind of update. I always had to ask for it.

I feel like complaints and requests go into a long report that no one reads. They have come out with lots of updates but none that I have requested.

Pros: What I like most about this software is that it is easy to use. I can easily look at reservations and the notes option makes it easy for me to view information about the reservation.

Cons: What I like least about this software is that sometimes the loading takes long. I have also had issues with the software not saving changes I previously made to a reservation.

Pros: Many features and easy to configure... Easy to merge booking buttons into website... Presents nice user interface to outside world... Excellent customer support and assistance for setting up the application... Many booking options available and easy to add and update... Add-ons feature works well for adding water toys which we rent with our boats... Incredibly flexible for setting up multiple outing and pricing schedules...Coupon feature works well for us... So far we have been able to do everything that we want to implement...

Cons: Wish there was a better method to look two or three weeks out and quickly see what boats (experiences) are booked or available each day... Wish there was a way to place an authorize only charge on a credit card... We have been able to define our boat rental experiences in the Xola App but it does seem that the system was designed to handle tour type experiences much easier than boat rentals... The many available features makes for a bit of a learning curve and setup can be somewhat complex...

Overall: Not sure yet... This is our first boating season using Xola... In the fall I will be able to answer this question... We will then have a meaningful comparison to the product we used previously...

Pros: The program has robust functionality and features. Xola consistently rolls out enhancements based on customer needs and feedback. Multiple pricing options and the ability to pay a flat monthly fee was attractive to us. After working on our own custom solution for five years signing on with Xola has been a breath of fresh air!

Cons: Reporting could use some improvement but I have been told it is on the way. Currently it depends heavily on the user having a firm understanding of Excel.

Overall: Increased functionality and features and customer feedback/ follow up options.

Pros: It is easy to manage bookings on the dashboard and have them all in one place. I can manage bookings for all my services together.

Cons: App functionality is limited. I like to use the app on the go but frequently have to go to the site on my computer.

Pros: Ease & convenience of customers being able to book their own lessons, automatic email confirmations, waivers & camp packets and tracking of number of students....

Pros: The best thing about Xola is the support. While I did take online tutorials and live training, you still never get the real experience of any software until you are actually using it. Sometimes I get thrown a curve ball and when i contact support they are there in a hurry. GREAT customer support and that's a huge plus.

Cons: One thing that really needs to be fixed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE is that even after a set minimum is met, it won't allow a fewer amount of people below the minimum to book and I have to go in and change the minimum to allow people to book, and then remember to change it back to the 4 person minimum. This involves phone calls from the customers, and often even after I change it, it still won't allow them to book. Not only is this a huge waste of time, it's also a huge flaw in the system. PLEASE FIX THIS!

Pros: Xola is the most cost effective booking system on the market. It charges a reasonable monthly fee instead of taking a percentage of sales, and doesn't charge booking fees to customers. The mobile app has also been much improved over the past few years, allowing guides to do much more on the go.

Cons: The reporting system is pretty bare bones. Despite all the information Xola is collecting on each customer (including questionnaires), there is no way to run reports on anything besides very basic information. This makes it difficult to build profiles on customers and better market services to them in the future.

Overall: Cost savings and on-the-go convenience

Pros: Use of pictures for listings, timeline views, and short quick steps help in booking a reservation. Managing listings is intuitive and easy to access. Adding booking features to our website is accessible through their custom booking buttons which produces copy/paste codes. With 24 hr customer service we can access their chat line at some of the most inconvenient hours and solve most problems.

Cons: We are a unique company with high volume so managing listings and availability is controlled through a schedule setting. We have worked closely to roll out package features which we look forward to fully integrating this into our system. All that to say, schedules can become laborious with our high quantity of listings. As with all software, there are always wonky items that arise, but all in all it hasn't been anything too much to handle or that they do not address immediately.

Pros: Xola makes it easy for us to list and sell our tours. They've thought of every part of the booking process to ensure that our customers have no trouble booking, are reminded if they leave the process, and get a follow up after their tour. When we've needed help with processes or integrations, the Xola team has been quick to help. They've even listened to us and worked directly with our team to implement our suggestions into their system. When we expanded to a new market, there was no hesitation signing up for another Xola account to manage tour bookings.

Cons: There are some things that need to be changed by Xola support instead of on my own. While this isn't ideal, every time I've needed changes, they were quickly resolved by the support staff.

Overall: Easy online booking for tours. Integrations with Viator, Expedia, Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel. Customer database management. Organizational tools.

Pros: Staff's support and interest in "my" software needs. Put this way, I'm constantly hounded by other company's booking software guys to "look" at their software and I keep telling them..."Nope, I'm using Xola and they serve my needs just fine!"

For whoever reads this review, I want them to know that I have used Xola for several years and I really appreciate how they have constantly kept up with my growth needs and seek to improve the software to help me grow. As we all know, what works today is outdated tomorrow! THANK YOU XOLA!

Pros: The Xola sales system works fantastically well. Yes, it does take a little bit of time to familiarize yourself with all of the bells and whistles, but thankfully they have 24/7 live support that is actually there and are fantastic. Not only can they explain to my dumb ass what actions I need to accomplish in order to toggle product listings and calendar settings, they will do it for me when I am confused or lazy. I love XOLA.

Cons: Xola is made primarily for Tour Operator style businesses offering experiences and doesn't offer quite as much dynamic customizability for selling merch to the people buying tickets from you.

Yes, your customers can "Add-on" an item like a T-shirt to their ticket purchase before checkout, but the Xola software doesn't give you the chance to (a) provide a product image for "Add-on" items and (b) retrieve preferential information - like Shirt Size and Color - for "Add-on" items.

If your goal is to sell extra promotional merch to your clients, Xola may not be right for you. But if your goal is to make the online reservation process a breeze for your clients so that they can easily self-serve their own booking needs, Xola is HANDS DOWN the best and most intuitive I have seen.

Overall: Great 24/7 customer support for me. Easy interface for my guests. Makes setting up new products and automating my web bookings very simple.

Pros: Xola's reports and API are very convenient for us. The customer service is also great; my questions are answered quickly and professionally.

Cons: Xola does not let us easily navigate between multiple stores. When we need to access booking data for a different location, we have to log out, and then log back in to select a different store.

Pros: Online, immediate, Customer support. The customer support is friendly and knowledgeable. If they are unsure of how to assist you, they will call to discuss and talk you through a difficult task. This has been most helpful for me, as I am tech impaired.

Cons: Sometimes needed changes take a while to implement. Sometimes changes dont happen until a year or so, but they do eventually get done.

Pros: The software addresses any and all of the issues that arise when it comes to getting travel info to customers. It makes it easy for large groups to pay in random increments and having the ability to easily include dynamic pricing put Xola over the top as the best booking software I have used to date.

Cons: I don't really have any cons to mention. I have used MANY booking products because I have been in a constant search to find software that allows my customers to buy tix and get ALL of the travel info they need after doing so + send reminders and lost lead capture notes and Xola does that.

Pros: I really like their focus on making the booking experience easy for customers - that is the most important thing about any booking software. Also they have great customer service!

Cons: I wish Xola had the functionality to make dependent bookings where two different experiences can be linked where one experience can only be booked after another.

Pros: It looks good and it is easy for our customers to use. It is easy to teach new employees to use it.

Cons: There is no XOLA to Quickbooks sync, which is key for our business. The Affiliate aspect of the software is not as easy as I would hope, but we use some workarounds that make it useable.

Overall: All of our bookings are in one place. The customer support is fantastic!

Pros: Ease of use, Simplicity, Graphics and colour scheme are pleasant. User interface is quite good for first time users. Can accomplish things easily on the administrator side. Seamless connectivity with Smartwaiver! Love it.

Pros: We have found Xola to be secure and constantly evolving. Not all the tweaks and new items apply directly to our business but we appreciate Xola's energy and innovative efforts.

Cons: Mobile platform does not expand on cell phone screens. Can be very difficult to manipulate or create trips on phones.

Pros: I really feel that this software does what we really need to do to expedite bookings and also keep my office organizied and running smooth.

Cons: Would like a drop down menu option with highlighted option opening up additional options...would also like to have key words suggested as content is previewed before loading up and publishing..be a big help....

Overall: We feel more in-touch with our reservations and our many sales options that are included on our web site. Pretty much immediate ability to dial in and control our volume/inventory.

Pros: The software is very easy to use and set up on the back office. The customers have found it easy to use to reserve our tours as well.

Cons: We have to create a new listing every time a new reservation comes in for a private event. Would prefer to be able to recreate an event then add a separate schedule.

Pros: it's functions of booking. I like the ease of being able to take credit cards. I also like the fact I can create gift cards

Cons: cannot see customers name on the daily plan have to click name for info. I don't like the refund props and the way you cannot add code after you book a room. I have to cancel the entire booking then do it again. too much to do

Pros: It handles the bookings for my business in a flexible manner and eliminates the possibility of double booking. They regularly roll out upgrades and I feel that the product has evolved nicely since I started with them.

Cons: It was a bit expensive initially but now they have the option to pass those costs on to my customers.

Absolute worst reservation site for Escape Rooms. Don't be fooled with Capterra!

Pros: Front office ok, there is nothing PRO to write except the abandone booking view even that they don't give you the contact just an email follow up!

Cons: Slow, Very hard to navigate, Hard to see to all my employees including me, App it's a straight nightmare, See reviews.....Big Mistake!!!

Pros: Clean layout, easy to use, lots of features. Allows us to utilize the online booking feature so we can open up to more people. Experiences with customer support have always been smooth and well handled.

Overall: The major benefit is having a system that is designed around the type of business we have and one that allows us to open up an online booking system, hugely advancing our ability to connect with customers.

Pros: Buttons work for booking and had no complaints from our website guy when completed. Transactions are seamless for both customers and Xola as are vendor.

Cons: At times it would be nice to talk to customer support. Ease of a gift certificate button have been difficult.

Pros: Our customers have appreciated a smooth checkout process, that links them quickly to their pre-trip information and integrated online waivers (with Smartwaiver). And for us as customers, the support team is fast, courteous, and helpful

Cons: We would like some additional flexibility around some features, like setting the number of days before a trip or setting a specific date for collecting final payment (after deposit) to assist with consistency for guests, certainty for us, and cash flow relative to expenses.

Overall: Consistent, quick, cost effective system with fixed fees per transaction, and fixed annual fees rather than as a percentage of volume or revenue.

Simple interface, easy to read. My company uses this software for booking caving tours.

Pros: Keeps track of lot's on information that we would otherwise have all over spreadsheets and calendars.

Cons: It can be a bit confusing to edit reservations once they are made. The prompts that you need to find can be hidden within other menus for basic functions.

Overall: It saves our company lot's of time and paperwork.

Pros: Overall platform and modality of being able to receive bookings online. Being able to accept bookings on iPhone and all paper work and administration of booking now handled and all receipts, reminders sent to guests. The POS & service fee/percentage is very competitive and certainly an important factor as well.

Cons: We have seasonality associated with our offerings and the booking calendar does not default to the start date or month - which mean our guests are scrolling through blank calendar pages and not sure why or what's going on? Seems like that would be an easy fix but seemingly not as we have been waiting for over two weeks for update that has not happened yet. We were told yesterday it would but were sent email saying delay again. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have thought about that as they are dealing with tour operators and many our seasonal?

Pros: The software is easy to use and yet still has a lot of capability. Indeed Xola has allowed me to add capability and service (gift certificates, rain-check coupons, equipment rental, etc) to my business that I would not have thought of implementing if not for Xola showing me how easy and profitable it would be.

The absolute best part about Xola is their customer support. I don't need much help, but occasionally a client's credit card company gets obnoxious when the guest asks me to add another person to their bill, but a quick online-chat with Xola folks (even if 3am as it usually is for me because my business is astronomy tourism) and problem resolved. Some reservation companies brag about how they assign specific agents to each client but that's not as great as it sounds. At Xola everybody knows my name and my business model which means I literally get 24-hr support.

About twice a month one of Xola's so-called competitors try to woo me away. I sat through about 6 or so of these pitches just to confirm that Xola was the best, and now I turn the table on these poor interlopers. When they say "You should switch your business to us!" I argue, "You should switch your career to Xola!" And I follow through by providing a link to Xola's employment page and their excellent reviews at Glassdoor.

Cons: Xola's phone app has some limitations compared their html software, but they are steadily improving that too. I don't see this as a real problem because running a business is serious and complicated matter and nobody does serious stuff on their phone right?

For example when I first tried to make this review for capterra on my phone, it crashed when the captcha failed to load correctly. Then I couldn't go back and lost everything. So I fired up my laptop and rewrote this review from scratch. Phones are silly.

Overall: My entire 6-figure income business (not bad for only 3 years in the ultimate boutique of astronomy tourism) is powered by Xola. I would not be nearly as successful as am, if not for Xola. My customers find it as easy and enjoyable to use as I do.

I'm constantly referring others to Xola -- everybody except my closest competitors of course. I don't want everybody to wield the might power of Xola as I do. :-)

Used last summer, did great job, some programming problems. Not deal breakers

Pros: Easy to use, easy to help customers book themselves over the phone. Easy to work with a group of products with out having to wad thru every offering the company has. Liked for getting to customize for our resort offering.

Cons: None I can remember after taking two months off. But had some problems with refunds, and discounting products.

Pros: Easy to use. You can Chat with them easily when you have questions. They respond quickly. Love that you can email all customers in rooster at one time. Love the new feature to link waivers to multi reservations.

Cons: They have bugs that happen here and there but they are on top of things and keep us inform when it is fixed.

We use XOLA for our canopy tour reservations and LOVE IT!

Pros: ALL Pros! I have used other reservations software and XOLA is by far the most user friendly for our clients and our staff.

Cons: The only Con would be the price...but you get what you pay for. Exceptional customer service make it worth it. So easy to use.

Pros: The calendar and booking functions work very well. The abandoned cart follow up definitely converts otherwise lost bookings. Support is quick and helpful. The credit card rates are very reasonable.

Cons: I wish there were some more customizations available in terms of information display to customers, especially regarding availability and sold out events. I guess I will just keep putting in feature requests!
