Pros: It handles the bookings for my business in a flexible manner and eliminates the possibility of double booking. They regularly roll out upgrades and I feel that the product has evolved nicely since I started with them.

Cons: It was a bit expensive initially but now they have the option to pass those costs on to my customers.

Absolute worst reservation site for Escape Rooms. Don't be fooled with Capterra!

Pros: Front office ok, there is nothing PRO to write except the abandone booking view even that they don't give you the contact just an email follow up!

Cons: Slow, Very hard to navigate, Hard to see to all my employees including me, App it's a straight nightmare, See reviews.....Big Mistake!!!

Overall: None , lose money and time!

Major upgrade to our previous system and has worked fantastically for us

Pros: Clean layout, easy to use, lots of features. Allows us to utilize the online booking feature so we can open up to more people. Experiences with customer support have always been smooth and well handled.

Overall: The major benefit is having a system that is designed around the type of business we have and one that allows us to open up an online booking system, hugely advancing our ability to connect with customers.

Xola has worked well for the purpose of our small business but some frustration.

Pros: Buttons work for booking and had no complaints from our website guy when completed. Transactions are seamless for both customers and Xola as are vendor.

Cons: At times it would be nice to talk to customer support. Ease of a gift certificate button have been difficult.

Pros: Our customers have appreciated a smooth checkout process, that links them quickly to their pre-trip information and integrated online waivers (with Smartwaiver). And for us as customers, the support team is fast, courteous, and helpful

Cons: We would like some additional flexibility around some features, like setting the number of days before a trip or setting a specific date for collecting final payment (after deposit) to assist with consistency for guests, certainty for us, and cash flow relative to expenses.

Overall: Consistent, quick, cost effective system with fixed fees per transaction, and fixed annual fees rather than as a percentage of volume or revenue.

Simple interface, easy to read. My company uses this software for booking caving tours.

Pros: Keeps track of lot's on information that we would otherwise have all over spreadsheets and calendars.

Cons: It can be a bit confusing to edit reservations once they are made. The prompts that you need to find can be hidden within other menus for basic functions.

Overall: It saves our company lot's of time and paperwork.

We have had complaints from our guests about the booking calendar that have not been fixed yet.

Pros: Overall platform and modality of being able to receive bookings online. Being able to accept bookings on iPhone and all paper work and administration of booking now handled and all receipts, reminders sent to guests. The POS & service fee/percentage is very competitive and certainly an important factor as well.

Cons: We have seasonality associated with our offerings and the booking calendar does not default to the start date or month - which mean our guests are scrolling through blank calendar pages and not sure why or what's going on? Seems like that would be an easy fix but seemingly not as we have been waiting for over two weeks for update that has not happened yet. We were told yesterday it would but were sent email saying delay again. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have thought about that as they are dealing with tour operators and many our seasonal?

Pros: The software is easy to use and yet still has a lot of capability. Indeed Xola has allowed me to add capability and service (gift certificates, rain-check coupons, equipment rental, etc) to my business that I would not have thought of implementing if not for Xola showing me how easy and profitable it would be.

The absolute best part about Xola is their customer support. I don't need much help, but occasionally a client's credit card company gets obnoxious when the guest asks me to add another person to their bill, but a quick online-chat with Xola folks (even if 3am as it usually is for me because my business is astronomy tourism) and problem resolved. Some reservation companies brag about how they assign specific agents to each client but that's not as great as it sounds. At Xola everybody knows my name and my business model which means I literally get 24-hr support.

About twice a month one of Xola's so-called competitors try to woo me away. I sat through about 6 or so of these pitches just to confirm that Xola was the best, and now I turn the table on these poor interlopers. When they say "You should switch your business to us!" I argue, "You should switch your career to Xola!" And I follow through by providing a link to Xola's employment page and their excellent reviews at Glassdoor.

Cons: Xola's phone app has some limitations compared their html software, but they are steadily improving that too. I don't see this as a real problem because running a business is serious and complicated matter and nobody does serious stuff on their phone right?

For example when I first tried to make this review for capterra on my phone, it crashed when the captcha failed to load correctly. Then I couldn't go back and lost everything. So I fired up my laptop and rewrote this review from scratch. Phones are silly.

Overall: My entire 6-figure income business (not bad for only 3 years in the ultimate boutique of astronomy tourism) is powered by Xola. I would not be nearly as successful as am, if not for Xola. My customers find it as easy and enjoyable to use as I do.

I'm constantly referring others to Xola -- everybody except my closest competitors of course. I don't want everybody to wield the might power of Xola as I do. :-)

Used last summer, did great job, some programming problems. Not deal breakers

Pros: Easy to use, easy to help customers book themselves over the phone. Easy to work with a group of products with out having to wad thru every offering the company has. Liked for getting to customize for our resort offering.

Cons: None I can remember after taking two months off. But had some problems with refunds, and discounting products.

Pros: Easy to use. You can Chat with them easily when you have questions. They respond quickly. Love that you can email all customers in rooster at one time. Love the new feature to link waivers to multi reservations.

Cons: They have bugs that happen here and there but they are on top of things and keep us inform when it is fixed.

We use XOLA for our canopy tour reservations and LOVE IT!

Pros: ALL Pros! I have used other reservations software and XOLA is by far the most user friendly for our clients and our staff.

Cons: The only Con would be the price...but you get what you pay for. Exceptional customer service make it worth it. So easy to use.

Overall I'm very happy with Xola. We have definitely seen an uptick in sales and it's a good value.

Pros: The calendar and booking functions work very well. The abandoned cart follow up definitely converts otherwise lost bookings. Support is quick and helpful. The credit card rates are very reasonable.

Cons: I wish there were some more customizations available in terms of information display to customers, especially regarding availability and sold out events. I guess I will just keep putting in feature requests!

Pros: Im a huge fan of the new features that will be coming soon. The scheduling and upgraded analytics will help with our daily operations

Cons: The mobile app needs a little work so booking people mobile is easier. If some of the features from the desktop could come over to mobile, i would be excited.

Overall: Ease of use and extremely easy to train employees on.

Pros: XOLA allows us to easily receive reservations for activities and communicate with customers. All of the information a customer needs to participate in an activity is available online including maps, what to bring and wear, and liability waivers. XOLA sends reminders to customers before their event and allows self-service rescheduling and cancellation. It also permits the scheduling of staff.

Cons: XOLA could offer better integration with the WIX platform. Currently, it is best to redirect with a link to the WIX site rather than embed in the host site.

I would also like to see more native integration with financial software such as XERO and CRM siftware such as Insightly.

Overall: Easy online event registration. Easy event check-in. Synced liability waivers. Fast Payment. Easy cancellation and rescheduling. Staff scheduling.

Pros: Great booking system, very easy to use and the implementation was done in less than a week. The Customer Service is quick to respond and very friendly

Cons: The Commission is a bit high (6%) in the basic package. Some competitors offer more competitive rates.

Overall: Tours can be booked and paid in advance while I`m not available. Very user friendly so people don`t get lost or confused. Very light so doesnt take ages to download.

Pros: The Xola Booking and Marketing System is easy to navigate when completing reservation. The system is easy to modify with add-ons for customizing specific tours.

Cons: The Xola Booking and Marketing System should have a single page where tours can be opened/closed instead of having to open each individual tour and then having to modify tour numbers.

Overall: We don't spend as much time making reservations, and now customers are able to book using discount codes.

Pros: being able to modify an activity when its needed it, sometimes clients change their mind. I can add or take out guests.

Cons: when I have to modify a price, sometimes I have to cancel and re-book then tour because i cant edit the price. I cant go back to an older date to add an activity.

Overall: Easier follow ups on activities.

Pros: The software, once set up, is super easy for me and my customers to use. I highly recommend it to anyone in the guiding business.

Cons: There are some challenges to the initial set up and it takes time to add all of the add-ons, etc. It is also a little confusing what some of the line items mean when filling it out.

Overall: Made booking from the website easier.

Pros: This software has a lot of features which make our raft company run smooth throughout the summer. I really like the I cal feature which allows me to see up to date trip totals right from my I phone calendar.

Cons: The mobile app is still pretty glitchy. It never remembers my username or pw and crashes quite often.

Pros: After a thorough examination of the software programs out there for a tour company, I came across Xola. I am THRILLED with the booking system. From it's ease of use to its top notch support to its analytics, Xola is the best booking system software out there!

Pros: Dependable.

Provides efficient API's for major Online Travel Agencies.
Tech support is readily available.

Cons: Xola's s/w update for tracking Adwords ad campaigns was slow in coming. We wish major updates would come through faster.

Overall: Xola processes all our bookings, with no glitches, ever.

Switched from Bookeo because 1) better fit for Escape Rooms, 2) great customer service response.

Cons: Not great on my Android phone. I have had trouble managing existing bookings, especially switching date & times as well as events. But only on phone. Elsewhere, great.

Pros: XOLA has an intuitive feel that makes it easy for employees and clients to use. It is also flexible enough to be manipulated into almost any application

Cons: some annoying email settings that can't be changed (collect pending balance). Also the user accounts need some work so multiple users or admins can receive email alerts.

We have been clients of XOLA for years and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

Pros: They have always incorporated our input and used this feedback to expand and improve their services.

Cons: As a booking management software they do a great job with organizing and managing tours. However, our company also does retail sales which do not integrate with XOLA as much as we'd like. Therefore, we must run multiple systems to manage our sales.

Pros: The best part of this company is that the customer service is right at your fingertips. You can chat and within seconds somebody is there to help you. You can call and they will guide you through everything.

Cons: The only kind I can think of is that I wish they had their own electronic waiver system. I also think the app could use improvement. It's not the same as the website version.

Pros: Ease of use and plain layout. Much more straight forward than other booking software I've used in the past, for both the customer and the backend administrator.

Cons: Expensive monthly cost. Other companies take a percentage which in the long run is more expensive.

Pros: I love the online support, whether in the Help documentation, or by using the always available "chat" window. There are so many features that it takes some practice to get faster at it, but a quick search through the Help topics usually puts you on the right track. I also love how professional it looks to my customers, and how easy it is to make changes and communicate those changes to customers.

Cons: Nothing I can think of. Sometimes, there have been some things that I could not remember how to navigate back to; while it is user-friendly, sometimes where I think it was isn't right.

Overall: The majority of my customers come through this software online; if not, I book them through the same service on my end of things. I get analytics that are updated constantly and helped me identify trends in my business.

It has been a positive experience. I am not the most tech savvy person, but their support is great.

Pros: Customer support - I call for help, and get answers immediately.
Ease of use - Once the setup is complete, inputting the reservations is very straight forward.

Cons: there are certain basic items that they don't do. For example, if I have 100 visitors for a group, I can't type in 100, I need to arrow down to 100. Another example is that United States is where all of my customers are located, but I have to scroll down to the U's.

Used Xola mostly on a phone or tablet, overall helped our business move with efficiency.

Pros: The scheduling clearly shows how much was paid or owed so that we didnt miss a payment. It was also easy to show customers their payments. Having a choice between listing a credit card and inputing a cash amount also helped.

Cons: The interface on my iphone was difficult to work with. The tablet less so. Navigating was a little difficult as well

Pros: The main user interface is super easy to use and my employees can easily make reservations, check participants in, change reservations etc. without having to ask for help.
Any time we have needed to call customer service/support , they have always been very responsive and solved our problems quickly.
The reports section is a wonderful resource that saves me so much time. Reports are easily exported and converted.

Cons: You can't easily switch back and forth between accounts if you have multiple locations. This requires us to have multiple tabs open and signed in individually on each account.
Program will sometimes freeze up in the middle of making a reservation/taking a payment.

Responsive to needs and continually improving the software from my feedback.

Pros: Ease of Use and Customer Support -- I looked at many companies and did demos prior to making my decision to go with Xola. Xola is, by far, the easiest to use of all the companies that I demoed. Inputting product, making changes, updating info is all easy and very intuitive to use. When I can't easily figure something out, Xola's 'chat' feature is AWESOME! There is always someone there to quickly guide me through with very little or no wait time. They walk me through the process via chat and once even offered to call me, instead, so they could more easily guide me through how to do something. If I have a need that Xola can't fulfill, they immediately send that to their development team and in most cases, I get an email or call saying the feature (or a similar one) is now available.
I've had offers from other companies that may be less expensive - but am so impressed by Xola's customer responsiveness, that it would take a LOT before I would make a change. VERY happy overall with my choice to go with Xola!

Cons: Calendar does not show multi-day events (only the first day shows). Also - only allows for 'group' or bulk discounts on same item. I would like a way to have the system give "Xth purchase free" - for example - so once someone has booked 2 items, it could prompt them with a "Buy one more and you get a free one". I saw other companies with this capacity, BUT then they had other things that I did not like. Overall - Xola has more Positives for me, than negatives.

Overall: All booking info in one place and so easy to keep on track of what is coming up for both myself and my employees. Also, easy reporting to see trends, end of month reports, etc.
I can access the info from anywhere - even when away on vacation.
Also, I believe more customers will book, when it is right there with a "book now" button - they don't need to call, or email and so they do more impulse scheduling. I even use the feature to be able to contact those that don't complete a booking and it almost always results in a booking, once I've had the chance to contact them and answer the questions that may have stopped them from booking on their first impulse. Without Xola, I would never have even known they were considering booking....that results in more bookings and more satisfied customers.
My customers all rave about the ease of booking - Happy Customers means repeat customers.

Pros: The ability to sell gift cards at discounts (and then to properly manage the accounting on the backend) is one of the great new features that we really like. This is quite a simple checkout process, but the underlying logic is quite complex. Xola did a great job on this rollout, which speaks more in general to their quality control with new releases. We find that as Xola rolls out new features, they are really well supported, with very limited "bugs" right out of the gate. This has been reassuring, as they have demonstrated the discipline to thoroughly vet updates prior to release, so that there are limited problems caused for their clients with the updates. This allows us to enjoy the new features without the headaches of "unintended consequences" that can sometimes come with feature releases.
Also, more in general, Xola has done a good job in making their product use intuitive, This aids the ease of the booking process, makes sales quick, training quick, and even helps in troublshooting.
Lastly, the existence of an API is nice, as we have been able to build a few integrations with other software that we also use.

Cons: The ability to export data to excel is nice, but it would be great to have more customizable reporting capability within the software, and/or the ability to create report templates. It would also be nice to do more with packaging of products, rather than just have the ability to sale individually. Lastly, it would be nice to be able to manage Lodging accommodations (i.e. multi-day bookings) a bit more cleanly. They have a workaround for Lodging, but it is a bit cumbersome to use.

Overall: Xola has greatly enhanced our ability to make the sales process easy to use for the customer, as well as robust and easy to use for our sales and accounting team.

Customer service is on point. Mikey Rollins is the best asset to this company. He has gone above.

Pros: Fast and easy and to the point as far as payment. The adjustable fees are great as long as you do enough business to pay for it. The retarget email is awesome. Already claimed 2 customers with it.

Cons: The coupons were pretty confusing. Could be much more user friendly. The glitches are really a bad deal. I could be losing a lot of customers.

Pros: The software is wonderfully coded and designed, but the on-going support and development are always on target for exactly what my business needs.

Cons: We have a unique way of selling / booking customers and while we have been able to use Xola's rich features to make a work around I wish I could simplify our booking process with Xola. Sadly I know this is a developmental issue and only affects a very small portion of it's users like my company.

Overall: Xola is feature rich so we have gained many benefits across the board for our company including enhanced financial / sales reports, better understanding of our customer demographics and most importantly increased sales / conversions via our website.

Pros: from being able to integrate waivers, to reconciling my bookkeeping, to making notes, to creating waitlists for sold out trips, to making manifests, to having incredible customer service 24/7 live, to being able to keep making more and more functionality, it is hard to choose what I like best

Cons: The fact that there are not enough people using this software is what I like the least.

If more businesses adopted Xola,instead of using many other online marketing and bookings CRM's then the end result would be the client would understand why they want to book on a Xola platform. Besides ease of use - there are NO HIDDEN FEES in Xola

No surprise at check out -Unlike many other online platforms.

I do not like that the businesses stick with other lessor platforms because they think making the client pays the cost of the platform in the form of hidden fees tacked on at the end to them wont be noticed .

Those guys should understand that Xola excels because they are being paid by the Tour Company not the check out customer.

When bugs and issues and features are needing to be addressed Xola treats its partners and customers properly and works to a resolution.

Pros: Its awesome. Very user friendly and attractive on point of sale end and I appreciate all the revisions, updates and tweeks that seem to occur on a regular basis.

Cons: Not happy with the hiccups caused by refunds. I have brought this to the attention of Reps but there does not seem to be a cure. Like to see this fixed.

Overall: Much improved revenue streams and HUGE reduction in personal phone calls due to online booking absorbing the majority of client contacts.

Pros: Xola's overall ease of use is what is most impressive. It makes training staff a breeze. My staff is able to quickly learn Xola through interactive videos and very clear functions. We have received multiple complements from customers on the attractive layout of the booking software and the thoroughness of the confirmations, post booking.

Cons: There are some kimitiona to the software that come down to very specific scenarios. Though they have been fairly good about addressing these issues. Customer service is quick to response but the quality of assistance can very depending on who you get paired up with.

Better than any software that charges guest fees!

Pros: Flexible features. The software does nearly everything we need it to do and, if we ever come across something we'd like to see, Xola adds it to their "to-do" list. Love it. Most importantly for us, their support team is always available. I've never had an issue that took over 10mins to solve and most of the time, it's my error! They handle each request with patience and support. After nearly a year with Xola, we've been thrilled with every interaction we've had with them.

Cons: We have been approached by other companies who do not charge the monthly fees. As a start up, getting rid of the monthly subscription and paying based on the number of bookings we get instead is appealing. This is the only reason I'd even consider leaving Xola.

Overall: Ease of booking. Rather than having to go through one of our office staff, guests can book immediately. I'm sure this has brought more folks in our door.

Pros: For our usage, it costs the least compared to competitors. I do like the follow-up email for customers who don't book. Let's keep the good ideas flowing.

Cons: The day of schedule. It's non-existent. Other companies have the ability to visually see a day of schedule vs. looking at a list. On top of that, I would love the ability to assign guides to a virtual day of schedule and color code the schedule manually.

Also, scheduling guides is very hard to manage with your software. I'd love to come out there and go over some ideas that can improve your software. We've been with you guys for a long time and would love to see it grow to be bigger and better.

Pros: A key feature for any booking system is the ease of use for my customers. It needs to be very easy for customers to use and make sense every step - this is Xola. Two steps, with no unnecessary log-ins or obvious data capture steps, and my customers have their booking confirmed. The backend is easy to use too and presents plenty of information to help me run my business.

Cons: There are some missing elements that would make some of my business processes simpler, but my use is outside the core Xola booking area and so I can manage these slight niggles.

Pros: This platform is definitely affordable and in the beginning the customer service was great. From a clients prospective the interface is user friendly and visually appealing.

Cons: We started using Xola over 2 years ago and although a rough start, the service was on point and customer support was helpful and speeds when it came to fixing bugs and problems. Since then it seems as if they have restructured their company drastically. Getting customer support has become a challenge. In the beginning they assigned account managers, which was great. When you called Xola you could speak directly to your account manager who knew everything there was to know about your account. Fixing problems was straight forward and right to the point. Now, it's a bit different... You can either call a get an answering machine or someone who has little to no experience or you can chat online with an agent they have outsourced in a foreign country. Regardless of who you speak with you must first catch them up again on everything you're trying to accomplish. This part is the most frustrating, When speaking to the 4 person I found it easier to just copy and paste the previous chats we had rather than trying to explain. We have been having trouble with our buttons implemented by Xola over 1.5 weeks ago. Meanwhile our clients have not been able to book online. Through pages and pages of correspondence and having the luxury of catching at least 6 of their employees up to speed on my issue. They might "might" have it done by tomorrow. We're talking about simple buttons. I would definitely do my research before plunging into a commitment with Xola. Very frustrated so far with this experience. If it wasn't so time consuming setting up a whole new platform, I would have switched to Fare Harbor long ago.

Xola has an incredible staff and the interface is very easy to use.

Pros: We're a TO in Europe and have more or less had a good experience with Xola with no plans to jump ship. They began working with outward bound service providers in the US and when we arrived with dozens of complicated walking tours, we tested them. Xola have listened to us and made some improvements, but several are still pending and have been for 3 years. Their CEO has been notified about these service limitations (how to price private tours, how to store age banded price ranges for future time periods with 100% flexibility, and others...) and we hope he'll get on it. In general though, Xola is a big thumbs up against the weaker providers like Rezdy and Trekksoft which are both inferior to Xola. Chat support is first class (Milos, in particular).

Cons: Xola have hired some poor account managers in the past. They need to improve on this although I am referring to former staff who were at Xola in 2016. Now gone and all ok). Xola have a free account for start ups with only a few tours. This is only available for US customers and it's unfair. They must offer this to customers in all countries.

Pros: I started with Xola back when the booking software genre was almost nonexistent. Back then there was Bookeo and that was about it. Now I get a sales call every week from competitors. Peek Pro seems to be the only software that is more feature rich but they are pushy and spam your customers if they get ahold of your data base so beware about them. Xola has an easy and beautiful interface. Non-pushy sales people. Help when you need it. Great ability to manage customers IF you never have to reschedule. The cost is lower than other companies if your doing volume greater than 5K a month. A good choice but you need a dedicated reservationist if you are offering an experience were rescheduling is common.

Cons: When pricing out a booking software company for your business consider the cost of an employee to manually have to reschedule your customers if your experience is prone to cancellation i.e. rain, wind, snow etc. and add it to the monthly cost of Xola to get an accurate idea of the true cost. The point of having a booking software is so you can concentrate on running your business and making it grow. Playing secretary is part of owning a small business but when it takes from R&D, marketing, quality of life it can kill you. Xola only allows your customer to book and reschedule themselves prior to their scheduled date. If you cancel the day of the adventure the customer has NO ability to reschedule if your experience is cancelled due to weather. If you are in a tourist area where you don't have an option to reschedule people because they are on vacation or the experience that you provide is indoor and cancellations rarely occur Xola is a great choice. If your experience is subject to weather and you take the entirety of the experience cost in advance, Xola has fallen behind severely compared to the the other big name in booking software. I provide Hot Air Balloon rides in an area that is prone to strong winds and rain during the season. My demographic is local and I sell my experience to customers that can and know that rescheduling is normal. I leave a recorded message the day of the flight and if the flight is cancelled there is no way in Xola to email the passengers a link to reschedule! Xola allows the customer to select another date prior to the experience and you can set those perimeters but after the customers first date choice, if it is cancelled, that is where you are left back in the 80's. In order to get your customers rescheduled on another date you need to do it over the phone and manually move them in Xola and online for it to move in real time. Xola has completely missed the boat for the experience provider that has to cancel for environmental reasons. I have submitted this feature request for two years now and it has shown no movement. They said it is not a common feature request and told us we could give the customer a "store credit". A credit sounded good until we realized that the customer would have to put al their personal detail starting with their name again to go that route. That is just not an appropriate thing to have your customers who are paying good money have to do and it looks unprofessional. I know for a fact two other operations left Xola for a booking company that offers a solution to the common problem of rescheduling for us outdoor providers. I think that they perhaps specialize in the hiking tours, or biking tour company that goes wind, rain, or shine and just refunds their customer if they cancel. Perhaps most of Xola's merchants operate in tourist areas where the customer does not reschedule because they are going home from vacation. The irony is that they offer our customers a great option to reschedule themselves prior to their first date. Why not extend that availability to after the date in case the experience is cancelled and the customer doesn't want a refund or via policy has to reschedule. For customers booking online, selecting a date and paying is seamless. The merchant can customize a checklist for the customer i.e. what to bring, what's included, a map the meeting point. We receive just the odd phone call asking for clarification and payment is quick. On the other hand we need to hire staff to answer the phones just to rebook our customers on days it is raining or too windy to fly. On average another 40 hours of phone calls and talk time is added to our expense because of the lack of a customizable reschedule link we could send our customers so they could reschedule themselves. Customers like not having to leave voicemails if we are on the other line and %95 of customers would rather NOT wait to speak to a reservationist to go over dates that may or may not be filled. It's really frustrating and I do not believe we are the only one or one of the few merchants that need or would find a simple reschedule feature useful as they have implied to us. The only other con is that they now leave the price on the gift certificates when a customer buys one. This was not always the case. Xola has a mailable and printable gift certificate option which we utilize heavily and you can now offer experiences at a discount but they for some reason notify the recipient of the price. We have been told and agree with several of our customers that leaving the price on the gift certificate is tacky. It has not always been that way, just with the recent update. I understand if you are giving a cash card to someone, you would need and want the recipient to know the price to avoid an embarrassing moment at a store or restaurant but who leaves the price tag on a gift? Xola gives the recipient a code so the recipient can book only and that process is easy but it's clear how much nanny spent and loves them the moment they get the printed gift certificate or email. We went from chasing a couple hundred bucks a week to help pay for a hobby we love and turned it in to a serious 2 person small business with gross income in the six digits, well 3 person and income in the 5 digits because we need someone to handle all the manual reschedules. Feature requests do get noticed but at about 1.5 year turn around. It's been two years since we have been asking for this. We have grown and enjoyed Xola, we just for their sake since the booking software market is so competitive now want to see them be #1 and have the client base Peek Pro does as they are a lot more ethical but we fear they won't if this feature isn't added and if the feature turnaround isn't quicker. Our review may appear negative even though we enjoy most of Xola. We understand all businesses have their little intricacies but we have been an experience provider for over ten years now and have offered many activities, rescheduling is a part of booking management no matter what adventure you provide, we and we are certain most other experience providers agree, just understand you will NOT have that option with Xola. Xola could be the best by far with just a couple more features.

Pros: The software provides every feature you would ever need to run your business efficiently. It is extremely easy to use and only requires a small amount of training. The support staff is absolutely incredible. Whenever I had an out of the norm booking issue, Xola always had a feature that would resolve the problem. Xola is by far the best of the best when it comes to booking software. The flexibility of their pricing plans and the ability to cater to any size business is a plus for me. Great value when considering all of the features you get with the software as well as the highest level of support. The capabilities of the Xola software are amazing. Cons: Most unfortunately, it was determined that Xola did not ultimately work for our offerings, primarily because it did not have duration based pricing for our bike rentals and lodging. This resulted in bikes (50% of our bookings) and lodging not being available to reserve online and to be somewhat complicated to reserve on the backend, including multiple emails being sent out for just one reservation (e.g. if a family rented four bikes, they received four emails).

Overall: Xola's customer support helped to get our data and information compiled thoroughly. It was sad that ultimately their system just was not built to handle our complexity and that we had to move on from them. Bottomline, duration-based pricing was needed.

Pros: Xola staff were able to customize the software to specifically fit our programs. I like the fact that once one program is booked, any conflicting appointments are immediately marked unavailable.

Cons: So far the only issue I'm having is that due to company policy, I haven't been able to sync the calendar to my work calendar, but that is an issue with my company that they're trying to find a way to work around.

Overall: It saves tons of time during the booking process!

Pros: I love how easy it is for my customers to use. Being able to customise the questionnaires is really important for my business. My life has been much easier, since being able to ask certain questions, such as coffee preferences, kayaking experience level, injuries/medical etc. It has saved me a lot of time. I have a lot of repeat customers in my business, as well as one-off customers, so it has been difficult to find a system that can cater for both. I'm pleased to say, Xola has been getting great feedback from my regulars, which has been great! One of the customer representative especially was very patient and helpful, answering my questions, always straight away, and working through my requests. Amazing on-boarding experience :)

Overall: Keeping both my regular paddlers and my one-off paddlers happy :)

Pros: The dashboard is great. It is easy to see what is available and book guests efficiently. The entire booking process is so user friendly from the initial booking to changing anything about the reservation to cancelling and refunding. Our staff had a really easy time learning Xola. The 24/7 support is great as well. Whether it is chatting right on the dashboard or giving them a call, everyone has been super helpful in answering every question we have had. As a rafting company it is important we do not overbook and being able to control the seats per trip so easily was a great help to us. The mobile app is great as well and we is used often when checking in trips away from our office computers. We would recommend this booking software and will be using it for years to come. Can't wait to see what updates they have for us next!

Cons: The only cons for us are the reports are not super easy for our accounting department but she makes it work. We are also still trying to figure out the best way to book private boats for our company.

Pros: It truly makes booking, customer management, and employee management very easy and straight forward.

Cons: There are some features I would like to see added to make a few of the processes easier such as Waiver process is a bit difficult if the customer looses the email they originally received. It also isn't very obvious to the customer they need to forward this on to the rest of their guests.

Pros: There is really so much I like about this program. I'm sure I will forget something here. When I get stuck and have no idea what to do, I like that the customer service team is just a click away, and they can usually figure it out unless I'm asking for the impossible. Really like the ability to change the inventory and add in extra time slots. I like that there are training videos to help us with the new employees. The affiliate program for Concierge and travel agents is good - not too many using it yet, and hoping for more. I like the way they pay us and how they get paid, and the good rate through their Stripe account.

Cons: Really I like least that I haven't mastered all areas of it and I still have to contact customer service so often. I wish they had more training videos that were more pertinent to our industry.

Pros: Intuitive without being nerdy. Clients as old as 85 and as young as 18 could purchase and become informed without barriers to sale. Impressive feat.

Overall: Ease of client interaction with company. Peace of mind with user interaction. The main barrier to online sales is your bookings engine. With XOLA I did not have that problem.

This system far exceeds anything else on the market. XOLA staff are very accommodating to new ideas and system upgrades from a user client level.

Pros: Xola's quick and easy to use for processing credit cards. Also, I have had great experiences with the support team on the rare occasion that something doesn't work as planned or when I have a question. They are very helpful and always prompt. I love Xola! Also, one of the customer's representatives is the coolest, smartest, hardest-working, totally most absolutely rad guy on Earth :)

Cons: The statements and receipts are a bit confusing to my customers sometimes. I wish there could be a way for it to show up on their credit card statement without saying "booking" (I sell print newspaper ads, not tour bookings), same with the receipts. However, I don't use the software necessarily as intended, so that's more on my end. Still, it would be nice to be able to change the way the statements and receipts appear to my clients.

Overall: I would rather process my clients' credit cards through Xola than any other merchant. Also, I'd rather give the small slice of flesh (percentage) to Xola than any other firm.

Pros: I love the chat feature, it enables me to make on the spot changes as opposed to going back and forth via email or making a phone call I might be too busy to make. The ease of manipulating my schedule and pricing is not something I even anticipated being able to do, but has made starting and tweaking my small business so easy. Changing my offerings, pricing and integration into my website is super easy, I thought I would need to hire a professional to do this every time but with Xola I can do it myself.

Cons: The mobile version is not the greatest, and the site has responsiveness problems when using a tablet. I wish there was integration with Travelzoo, but I did find a work around.

Overall: Calendar/marketing capabilties I hadn't anticipated being able to have.

Pros: I really love the simplicity of the booking interface for customers (both in style and function). The calendar feature for customers to see all available dates is great. It's really easy to get around the back end, and the support staff has been super helpful. It's also awesome to be able to hook up a card reader to book customers on the spot as well

Cons: I really love the software overall, but the app functionality is definitely limited. It's really only helpful in terms of seeing trips already booked, but I always have to go to my computer to make any changes.

Overall: It has totally streamlined the booking process for our customers, and added an extra layer of professionalism to our business.

Pros: Easy to use, and the fact that it is web based means that I can access it anywhere. I also love that I can book items for guests through the xola booking app. For us if was hard to find another software provider that covered the full extent of our program offerings and included the capability to manage and track inventories of equipment.

Cons: Sometimes we struggle with the functionalities on an ipad. Some of the drop down menus etc. are hard to touch just right to get them to open.

online, over the phone, and in store. Everything is customizable to our brand, and the straightforward dashboard makes operations easy for our staff.

Amazing customer service, we've been with XOLA from the start and they've listened to our concerns when we've had them and made improvements based on our feedback.

Pros: I am most happy with Xola's ease of use. On both the customer's and the business's end, Xola is very straightforward and well organized which allows for easy, question free bookings by my customers, and a fast, easy check-in and payment process for my employees.

Xola's cross platform reliability is also a huge plus for me. With other booking software I've used in the past, I frequently experienced "down-time" on one or more of my devices. In well over a year of use on Xola, I am yet to experience any similar issue.

Cons: Product improvements and app updates have been a little slow. In particular the mobile app is in dire need of updating. But for the most part, critical updates that are missing have been few and far between because most of the features you need are already there and already work well.

Pros: I really love the automated emails that I receive for bookings and reminders. It helps me streamline my day and get our employees on board to who needs to do what. When running a business, it's nice to trust that customers are being followed up with!

Cons: I don't like the jump in price from the basic to the next tier. Abandoned bookings are the big selling point and I feel it's a bit invasive if you ask someone why they didn't book or come back about "is there anything I can do to help you." It makes it look like you're spying on them a bit.

Pros: My favorite thing about Xola has been the extremely knowledgeable and speedy support staff always being at the ready via email, phone or 24hrs a dang day via chat. I can not tell you how key it is to understand that hours of need to not happen between 9-5 somestandardtime but can happen at anytime. To me, having someone there to bounce questions and issues or even just log a feature request is key compared to the many other software companies that offer lame "help/knowledge bases" or "video tutorials" you can search forever and still not find what you need.

I also appreciate that they are not resting on their laurels when it comes to updates and feature additions. Since I have been using Xola since Jan 2017 they have released many updates that actually have workflow function compared to "Wow.. we made it so you can add emoji's to your email signature" type of stuff I have suffered through as "function upgrades" on other platforms.

Lastly I really like that the software has the ability to be cross platform and mobile and you can still have full functionality. It is helpful that they are working towards upgrading the app as they go so more actions can be tackled through there as well.

Cons: The mobile app for android at least could really use a "refresh" feature like on the web so I can swap between company accounts easier than restarting the app.

The guide management is a growing feature so I hope more develops there sooner than later which is more about my personal workflow needs than anything else.

Lastly, it is not something that has as much to do with Xola as it does with Google in that the subscribed calendar feature Xola offers does not work well with the way google imports them so I would love to see a push style calendar notification instead so those not on apple products are not left with inaccurate calendars. Again more a Google screw up than Xola but I really really want xola to rework the calendar notification option so it can integrate better cross-platform.

Overall: Slicker guest interface as well as a more intuitive and cleaner user interface for staff.

Pros: Timeline view, easy rebooking, automated email send out, look of it on my website, customer service is awesome

Cons: No option to book a two leg trip (have to add another expierence). We have a boat shuttle service and our customers are required to book a departure and return time. Sometimes this causes confusion. It would be awesome to have it set up all on one page with times available for both trips.

Pros: The App is very user friendly for our instructors to use.
Clients have found it simple to use.
Once implemented the system is terrtfic. It saves alot of time for clients and staff in admin.

Cons: Setup time and knowledge to use the systems back end needs 1:1 support with a tech person.
Training of our admin could be workshops online with YouTube tutorials etc?

Overall: Efficiency for admin staff and clients.
Money transferes to our accounts quickly.
Information is gathered at time of booking

Pros: I like that you can have everything in one screen when doing reservations. You can change the amount of guest, the date, time, everything!

Cons: Editing some of the guest names or emails is a little tricky to figure out. It definitely takes a littl bit to get use to, but is well worth the switch!

Overall: The ease of scheduling tours and being able to have everything in one place

Pros: When training new hires, it sure makes that easy, since it is so intuitive. It's a 1000x better than our old system of pen and paper and it seems to me to be better than Fareharbor.

Cons: I least like the iOS app. I like that there is an app, but it seems to be missing a lot of the features available through the website on my browser. I don't expect every single feature to be available and maybe there is more than I'm aware of, but I definitely think the app could use some work.

Pros: Love how easy it is to use and customize to our business. Love the price and all we get for the price we pay.

Cons: We don't have one specific thing that we don't like. There are little nuances here and there but with the new updates you are always coming up with our concerns are usually remedied.

Pros: I like the way it allows you to keep tabs on visits to "book now" and works to reconcile abandoned bookings.

Cons: The fact that you can't see communication with clients unless you navigate into the messenger column, it makes keeping track of weekly reminder functions difficult.

Now instead of having to navigate to the Messages tab you can see all communication with your customers within the reservation. You will find this new feature within the communication column in purchases. Pros: It makes sense. And if there is a time that it doesn't allow me to do things the way I might want to them, the alternative provided, still makes sense. I also REALLY like that it integrates our bookings from other sources such as Viator.

Overall: Potential walk guests can book on-line and I'm not in a panic becasue the software takes care of it all! It's totally easy to understand. And on those few occassions when it isn't easy to understand, the service staff are right there and incredible!
