I have been using the product for two years now and I have found it to be a robust product. The capability to manage many various devices has been extremely useful.

Pros

I have found that the support from the MDM help team has been really prompt and concise with their answers.

Cons

The lack of an inventory report for individually pushed applications to devices would have been useful to have. Overall the reporting feature can be improved a bit more.

My overall experience has been excellent. ManageEngine MDM has transitioned us from manual, spreadsheet-based tracking to a fully automated, secure, and compliant mobile ecosystem. It is a practical, reliable, and "no-nonsense" tool that focuses on what actually matters for IT operations: stability, security, and time-saving automation. It is a highly recommended solution for any organization looking to scale their device management without the complexity of more expensive, bloated alternatives

Pros

The biggest win is the centralized console. Managing a mixed-device environment (Android, iOS, Windows, and Chrome OS) from a single interface has been a game-changer for our IT team. The scalability is fantastic—whether we are deploying policies to a handful of devices or thousands, the process remains consistent and automated. The "Kiosk Mode" and remote wipe capabilities give us full control over security, and the return on investment is clear due to the massive reduction in manual provisioning time

Cons

While the interface is functional and robust, it can feel a bit dated compared to modern web apps. Additionally, for someone new to MDM, the initial learning curve can be slightly steep due to the sheer number of configuration options available. However, once you pass the initial setup phase, the system’s power and flexibility far outweigh these minor navigation hurdles

After evaluating several similar solutions, I found ManageEngine to be the most cost-effective, user-friendly, and technically robust option available

Pros

The best aspect of this solution is its ease of use, which aligns well with current industry requirements. It enables organizations to effectively secure and manage their data through a simple and user-friendly platform.

Cons

The cloud solution cannot integrate with the existing on-premises SMS portal, which increases the overall cost of ownership. Additionally, the application cannot be completely removed from the device once deployed, creating potential device management and user experience concerns.

I can manage our devices remotely while they are on the move and able to block access to unwanted apps.

Overall, my experience with ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus has been positive. It provides a comprehensive set of mobile device management features that help streamline device enrollment, policy enforcement, application deployment, and remote support across multiple platforms. The centralized management console makes it easier to maintain security and compliance for a large fleet of devices. While there is a learning curve when configuring advanced policies and features, the platform is reliable, scalable, and offers good value for organizations looking for a robust MDM solution. It has helped reduce administrative effort and improve visibility and control over managed devices.

Pros

What I liked most about ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus is its ease of device enrollment and centralized management. It provides a straightforward way to manage Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS devices from a single console. The platform offers comprehensive features such as remote troubleshooting, application deployment, policy enforcement, asset management, and security controls, making it easier for IT teams to manage large numbers of devices efficiently. Integration with enterprise services and support for automated enrollment programs also helps reduce administrative effort and improve device compliance.

Cons

What I liked least about ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus is that some advanced configurations and workflows can be complex to set up initially. The user interface can feel overwhelming for new administrators due to the large number of features and settings available. Reporting and dashboard customization could be more flexible, and certain advanced device management capabilities may require additional configuration or troubleshooting compared to some competing MDM solutions.

Reasons for choosing ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus

We chose ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus because it offered the best balance of functionality, ease of use, and cost-effectiveness for our requirements. It provided comprehensive support for Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS devices, along with strong security controls, application management, remote troubleshooting, and flexible enrollment options. Compared to other solutions we evaluated, ManageEngine delivered the features we needed without the higher licensing costs often associated with enterprise MDM platforms. The platform was also straightforward to deploy and manage, making it a practical choice for our IT team.
