Cons Some of the documentation is for previous versions of ManageEngine, and it would be better to filter help articles by version. September 25, 2024 5.0 It has been a great tool, definitely the best, in my opinion. Pros The management console is one of the best I have tried. It's way easier than Hexnode and similar to the Ninja one. They offer the same capabilities as Ninja One but at a fraction of the cost, and their performance exceeds Ninja One's. You can block almost everything you need to perform a DLP system on the mobile device; you have control of all peripherals. You can modify the behavior of applications like Outlook, Office, Teams, and Chrome, allowing you to fine-tune any restrictions that you may require. It allows you to track your devices in real-time. Distribution of applications is easy, and you can create multiple app catalogs. The price is below average. For the corporation, it was only 2.77 for each device. No minimum is required, and it's FREE if you have less than 25 devices. You can give remote support(only view) on mobile devices. Cons I would like it to have a web browser content filter, but none of the tools that I tested have it. You can block a list of URLs, but that isn't the best way to do the task. Pros Management through profiles allows enormous configuration flexibility. The fact that up to 25 devices are free allows micro companies to take advantage of the potential of equipment management. Cons There is no filtering of web content using expressions or keywords. No support for non-paid customers, which can make configuration difficult in case of doubt or lack of knowledge. Every team member has understood my request and answered my questions promptly, or identified a team member who can. The product is extremely easy to deploy and use. Pros First, it's simplicity. It took minutes to setup the service on the first device, and only a few hours to learn the system well enough to develop policies for use in our business. Cons There were a few occasions where I had to contact customer service to explain an issue I thought could be found in the documentation, but wasn't. But the customer service team is excellent, so this was less of a problem than it could have been. Pros For a small business it with less that 25 mobile/portable devices it currently let us to fully manage all of them without restrictions. We are currently looking to expand as we evaluate. Cons The layout could be friendlier by better navigation. It has the appearance to be overwhelming, however you'll be able to find what you are looking for. The instructions videos did include good details however, it doesn't fully match current layout mostly due to updates. Fast to deploy and can do some niche things with it like kiosk mode and remoting in. Not as good for IOS but still works (lacking features). Support is generally okay but could be better, lots of doing circles of trouble shooting when the problem is obvious. Pros Generally works really well, does all the things it promises to do. Cons IOS management could be better and more clear. This may be apples fault but still needs to be addressed. It allows me to set policies for the devices, integrates easily with Apple Business Manager, and deploys easily. Cons Some settings and actions are difficult to find. Certain screens seem redundant and don't allow the same actions from one to the other. For example, we marked a device as lost but after it was found, we couldn't find the setting to mark it as found. Trying to push out apps individually to phones doesn't always work. There is significant overlap, in my opinion, between the Enrollment and Inventory screens and finding which one I need for applying certain settings is complicated. Review Source CF Callum F. The mdm mobile app is also very intuitive to users. Pros Very easy to use once you get used to the platform. It's well designed and well maintained. Even adding policies is very simple to use.
