Pros We switched over the BLR and received our Scorm files quickly. They are affordable and cover the required content we need. From start to finish, it is simple to onboard new employees. Pros The number of courses offered is a huge advantage. I'm able to get everything my employees need in one platform Cons I'm not a fan of the new format for selecting courses. They changed it a while back, and it's no longer as straightforward to browse through courses. We have the gold subscription so that we can create our own courses. We like that it is easy to use on the administration side and the learner side. Pros Ease of use and easy to figure out how to navigate without a how to guide. I like the ability to create our own courses. Cons The only thing that is a little tricky is reporting without running a report. I wish there was a button I can click to see all recent completed training like we were able to in the old system. I'm able to easily group my employees by "positions" making it so much easier to issue all of them their specific training by their group. Cons I think the only con I'd have to say is the fact that when I issue online training, it doesnt notify me when they complete their training. I would need to go onto the website search their name or the course to see if they even started. It's been nothing but issues and ongoing since day one. Pros I don't like anything about the product. Cons The old system Coggno was awful to use and still technical issues on the new platform GOLD. Migration was horrible. All the training courses were not ported over correctly and it took a month for the migration to complete. Courses that were never taken posted. Customer Service was poor. Emailed the service team and they did not respond in a timely manners. Months to get resolution. Running reports was not easy. Training videos were outdated. Email notifications were sent 50 times to admin users in error. Reason for choosing BLR's TrainingToday Customer Service support. More current training content and more options of courses. Lead Engineer Information Services Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Well done, but missing some information." December 7, 2023 4.0 Its a solid B or B+ level product. I was disappointed there was no way to post questions or comments on individual information statements or quiz questions. Depending on the experience and qualifications of the people taking your courses, you could probably gain a lot of free insights to make your modules better. Pros The UI is good, the pacing is all right. The visuals are good. Most of the information was presented adequately. Cons Some of the information was incomplete and some of the questions were misleading to outright incorrect. For example, "Is outdoor use of electricity a potential danger area at home?" The correct response was no. There are multiple instances of this not being true I can only presume the person or team that put this part of the safety section together was deficient in general electrical knowledge and specific NFPA code requirements. There were 2 or 3 other areas that had questionable amounts of accuracy or went into great detail on certain aspects but completely skipped other as important considerations all together. Perhaps having training for those working directly with chemicals and those not working with chemicals would be advantageous. Cons The guidance provided in this interface is pat and superficial. There is certainly a way to introduce concepts that influence workplace attitudes, practices, and behaviors, but these modules say little that people don't already say to each other - when in a good mood. They are filled with stereotypical images reminiscent of pharma photo shoots, when workplaces - all of them - are almost all far from polished. To improve, a shorter set of "do this next time" happy endings should be replaced by interactive features at the outset of a scenario. There is enough LLM and natural language processing to generate some remarks that might actually be useful, and the process could be made engaging. Review Source MS Melanie S. In one of the courses, all of the letter "f" were formatted as a box (wingding?) and made the narrative very difficult to follow. There is no way to report this type of thing.
