Pros: I like the TCC use. Integrating between systems seems to be straightforward and user friendly most of the time.

Cons: Paying by headcount rather than by user. We have employees who are not users, no access to system, but we pay for them per the contract.

Pros: Reporting metrics are helpful but could be more conclusive and could be more filters available. Application information is not easily printable for those that refuse to use a computer to view.

Cons: Interface is dreadfully slow, it is built in flash which is outdated and unable to access from apple ipads, iphones which is difficult to manage at career events and providing instant feedback to potential applicants.

Comments: Good system for large organization

Pros: - Customizable ATS system - Easy to use as long and you spend the time to set up correctly - Fairly quick to set up - Different products to suit smaller vs. larger customers

Cons: - Customer service is not good, and difficult to get help if something doesn't work well - Data Migrations don't always work as they should. Take the time to map fields!

Pros: 1. Oracle attached to the name therefore people will not need to worry about quality.
2. Suitable for large businesses.

Cons: When you think of Oracle, you can only think of greatness. Unfortunately Taleo does not live up to the mark. The following are the flaws that I have found as a user.
1. Very slow.
2. Too many filters that makes it very confusing for a new user.
3. Not very user friendly as one needs to spend much time in first understanding the product and then use it.
4. Search results are not always accurate.
5. Not as good as its price demands.

Comments: Lighten-up Taleo, you're not that important. Allow applications to be submitted w/o registration and so many questions.

Pros: The service is technical, too technical. Long-time in the market place. Terrible reputation with most candidates and growing with their customers.

Cons: A L-T friend, bank exec, noted that Taleo gets much negative feedback from their recruits for mid-high level positions. Too much info, time, questioning, etc. VPs don't want to spend time filling in blanks in a data base. He said this to me because I filled a Taleo 'VP' application for his subsidiary bank with a Taleo internal rejection. The rejection was due to Taleo's issue with "Masters of Business Administration" vs "MBA" and "Masters Business Administration". Apparently, many people, even more mid-high level people are tired of this nonsense. The result is that they just won't use Taleo. The old method of give the friend a call, email a resume, etc are being kicked out by HR directors. It was replaced with a basic, load resume, fill in key info system. Thanks to Taleo, the current 2 hours of input by the recruit, no feedback to the recruit and the best candidates are not joining your company's team.

Pros: This does pretty much does everything you might need.... Offer letters, tracking, emails, searchability...

Pros: none, worst programe. only that oofer an electronic format to keep information, i never found anything worst than this software.

Cons: Very hard to us it. Does not recognize any prebuild format from linked in or others. 0 information can be used even from other taleo accounts. It is a real pain every time, you need to start from scratch.

Pros: Easy to learn, user-friendly, great functionality and tools, excellent customer service & customer training.

Cons: Professional Services work- There is an opportunity to do customization to the product but would suggest waiting to see if needed. Customizations are usually where you will have issues when something breaks. The core product is always working but automations is where you may see failures.

Overall: As a corporation, we were looking for a recruitment software and candidate management system that could safely store all our business data. Taleo certainly delivers on this front! It's an easy-to-use/user-friendly software with great customer service to back it up. I do recommend this product for businesses with 10-10,000+ employees who are looking for a cost-effective way to manage their recruitment process.

Pros: In depth and very robust in functionality

Cons: Does not do a great job of grabbing correct data from uploaded resumes.

Overall: I used this system as a recruiter for a major trucking company -- Taleo is a great product for storing, managing, and reviewing potential recruits. Job postings are simple enough and allow for quite a bit of in depth detail if needed. From the job seeker side, it is a typical long drawn out process to fill out, and it does lack abilities to pull in correct data from Resumes when loaded. That being said, it is still easy enough to navigate and review even from the recruit side.

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall a great product and very easy to navigate, utilize, as well as keep yourself organized when it comes to recruiting candidates.

Comments: not too satisfied with this product. Currently searching other ATS . When we purchased this item I was not aware that I could not use a lot of its features because we only have 700 employees. I was told in order to do some of the items I had to be on the Business Edition. Implementation was not very helpful either I am doing too many manual steps I want a user friendly ATS. Posting jobs, customizing the application, sending offer letters, onboarding into our ATS, and being able to work directly with our background vendor. All features that do not work

Comments: Taleo Business Edition (TBE) is an applicant tracking system with tremendous functionality. The problem is finding that functionality. It is very difficult to use, almost programmer like in its requirements for templates and workflows. And although it offers multiple languages to support a global enterprise, it does not allow for separate requirements in terms of requisitions, approvers, etc. Either everyone does it, or no one does. Lastly, the Chinese language used does not translate accurately, per my Beijing group, and so is unusable to them.

Pros: Having all my candidates in one place, separated by Req.

Cons: Difficult to use. Where's the drag and drop? Where are the smart features? It even looks clunky.

Recommendations to other buyers: Unless you have a fully integrated recruiting and hiring process where workflows are necessary, don't use this system. It is simply too robust for simplified recruiting processes.

Comments: I managed a team that used Oracle LMS and CRM services for 5 years. Yes, it took an entire team to wrangle all the features and possibilities that these systems through our way. We were overwhelmed from day one with the enormity of possibilities, which often is used as a selling point for a product like this. However, I found that we spent so much time learning how to make the system do what we wanted, we weren't able to focus on our learners and what their needs were. Personally, I felt that many of the features here were simply "industry standards" that were all about creating a compliance learning environment. This is great for companies who provide training as a checkbox because it's the law or so that they can get an insurance break. However, many of the commonly believed truths about how adults learn were not addressed by this system. I preferred a simpler system, with less bells and whistles, that focused more on what they learners really wanted. Quick and easy access to information that helps them be great at their jobs. If you have a huge team and company with tons of time to spare, maybe you could make Oracle work for you. For most of us, it's just too much, both in cost and in complication.

Pros: Very complete/robust platform, variety of possibilties to setup/customize processes and pages. Chance to integrate with other softwares/platforms and also with social networks to recruit candidates. It offers a great control for managing all the processes (current or concluded). Designed to be consistent and stable.

Cons: Software is not very friendly, need of a technical professional to setup processes. The variety of resources and options may be confusing when the project becomes bigger. Right deployment is a key factor for success.

Recommendations to other buyers: Understand how the software is capable to support your processes and what it offers additionally to improve it. Explore the administration functions to identify what kind of tech knowledge it will demand from your team.

Pros: I like that it does give you a place to house your candidates.

Cons: This product has too many features and options to customize, too many reports need to be built only if you know how to code. The scheduling feature is very hard to work with and the bugs that happen are a bit scary.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are looking for a product that you can completely customize, this is the one. However, keep in mind, you need to have a TALEO super administrative person on staff or a budget to fill the needs of training, fixing, and setting every little piece up.

Pros: It is simple to add in candidates and positions, keeps good track of the candidates submitted for positions, reports are easy to make, easy to open the software, and it keeps track of your recent activity to candidates are easy to revert back to when needed

Cons: Duplicates names and positions regularly, can't search via zip code, not efficient enough for recruiting in my eyes unless your a smaller company (1 to 15), can't go back and delete things unless your an administrator (we all make mistakes but Taleo coerces even bigger issues when you have to get others involved). Can be frustrating

Recommendations to other buyers: Be sure to look into many different platforms before picking one. Don't shy away from a product that might cost you a little more up front as the results will prove why. Make sure when demoing the product to run all the queries you currently do and also the ones that you would like to have/use; just to make sure the product meets those needs

Pros: Our Taleo RSA is fantastic to work with, this does come at a hefty hourly rate.

Cons: Taleo is a difficult program for users to access, its slow and not intuitive. I also have not had great success working with our Customer Support Team, it is one of the more difficult vendors to work with.

Recommendations to other buyers: Taleo is configurable however it's very important to set up the system in your planning process. We have the onboarding tool and have paid for it for 6 years now, however do not use it. This should have been set up from the start. It's very difficult and costly to implement new features in the system w/out an IT ATS wizard on your team.

Pros: Taleo gives us the ability to speed up our Onboarding process and create a positive first impression. Our employees are able to knock out their new hire paperwork before their first day, speeding up their time to production.

Cons: Occasionally there are bugs with the PDF's loading. For example the Form I-9 and state tax forms that we have our employees complete are sometimes unable to be completed online and we have to resort to filing them out manually. This causes a hiccup in our process and is sometimes a headache to reach out the employees with the form, ask them to complete it and email and scan back to us in a timely fashion.

Recommendations to other buyers: I think it is important to shop around, be involved in as many demo's as you can and even ask your network who they are using so you can touch base with them and see what issues they have.

Comments: While Taleo has a lot of robust functionality and capabilities, it's also complex, involved, and behind the times. Count on needing a full-time administrator if you select Taleo Enterprise. While it is customizable, the configuration is not simple in comparison to other HCM solutions. The end product is decent.

It is not responsive designed, meaning the mobile access is poor at best. The candidate experience is behind the times. You will have application drop off due to a legacy application process that isn't native mobile enabled.

I also worked on the System Administration side to assist with issues after hiring, where Onboarding and the HRIS system were affected, or to solve the snags.

Comments: I think Taleo has the potential to be awesome. My issues with it mainly come from Customer Service. If there is an issue it is impossible to get any help. Our previous rep. told us that she "didn't really know much about Taleo" and most of what she could help us with was stuff that we easily figured out on our own. She would struggle to even show us how to edit email templates. We want to be making the most out of this ATS, but without some guidance or resources, we are struggling to find it all that beneficial to us.

It's great for the basics, but other than that, my team has yet to find the real value behind using it.

Comments: I was a little worried after the merger, but the transition to Oracle Taleo Cloud Service has been seamless. The system was easy to walk through and get results quick. The system has been easy to train our managers on. We are a growing defense contractor with around 2200 employees, we choose Taleo for their ability to grow with our company!

Comments: I've used Taleo for 4 years. First, as a recruiter for a year and the remaining as an admin/analyst. As part of the implementation team, configuring the system and deciding on processes and workflows were the hardest part and one that you want to invest time and dedication. We're now working on rolling Recruit and Onboarding/Transitions out globally.

Pros:
Streamlined the recruiting and hiring process
Reduced administrative errors in the process with automation (correspondence, template offer letters, req. templates, etc...)
Transitions/Onboarding is phenomenal. A bit tricky to configure but absolutely a HUGE time save and benefit for processing new hire paperwork. Some customers are leveraging it for internal movement and offboarding as well. Very diverse module.
Oracle does a great job of pushing out content, forums, groups, etc...

Cons:
CRM functionality could be much better (candidate tracking, notes, history)
Taleo applications have a bad reputation with candidates/poor candidate experience (for us specifically, we hear some candidate feedback on the app from time to time but from a data perspective very happy with the application. Low drop off rates (average 86% complete), average session time for candidates around 5 - 6 minutes.
Oracle SR system is very hit or miss depending on what rep you get

A bit confusing, but it has its uses.

Comments: Taleo - both Business addition and Enterprise - has a lot of great options - Configuring those though, can be crazy! The step processes are not very intuitive - so moving a req from start to finish can be a challenge. However, a lot of the ease of use is going to depend on how well the customer has thought out their own Hiring Process. I do love the fact that Taleo allows you to pick and choose which modules you want - Recruit, Onboarding, Learn etc. However, the complexity of it can be a challenge. I've never found anything better!

Comments: I have been on all sides of Oracle's Taleo Cloud Service. I have been a user, a customer, as well as a senior level management at Taleo. The customer service is excellent. The level of support and the dollars spent by Oracle shows the dedication that is given to customers. The cloud approach to software is what most companies are moving to. Less cost in the area of infrastructure, programmer support and maintenance, are all value added as we look to streamline our business model, and focus on our core competencies. When searching for a job, Oracle's Taleo Cloud Service is the most streamlined in terms of 1)finding the appropriate job and 2) applying.

Comments: I have used Taleo several times with different employers and find it to be one of the better ATS's out there. It becomes customizable as you define its set up with respect to the needs of your organization. There are yearly upgrades and you need to participate in at least one of them. The standard reports can be modified in Excel and meets most of our needs. As a Recruiter I have found it easy to navigate and use on a daily basis. All things considered, I like it!

Comments: I enjoy using Taleo Business Edition, it has really become the glue for our recruiting efforts and helps put all of the candidates/ performance management in one place. It lets you on-board and have all of your documents in one place, so it's really a one stop shop. When you have a question or problem, their customer service team is very timely.

Con: There are a lot of key strokes to get to certain things, it would be nice to have less clicks.

Comments: I have been using Taleo recruiting module since last 4 years and I am the primary lead on recruiting and business side when it comes to any changes or upgrades to the system. So far the experience is good. What I would like Taleo to do is to improve search capability function. It's currently used as a database management tool Vs a complete recruiting tool with good search capabilities.

Comments: Pros'
- Good "middleware" to manage applicants and move them through the process
- Can generate the offer letter from data in the system
- Ability to deliver in multiple languages

Con's
- Lack of social media integration and forward thinking. Still Recruiter centric, not candidate centric
- Lack of real marketing and talent branding capability
- Worst customer support you'll ever experience
- Account managers don't have a clue about the product. It will take you 2 weeks to get a response

Comments: Taleo Learn will get the job done if you don't have much budget for your LMS, but it is a cumbersome product that is not intuitive in terms of navigation, at least on the Admin side. The system is one that has been acquired over and over through merger and while Oracle does provide responsive customer service, you will find that there are many things that this system just doesn't do and updates in new releases don't always enhance the product. Learn is definitely an afterthought to Oracle.

Comments: Been the administrator of the tool for 2 yrs. quite easy to use... Our company could have done a much better job of setting up the infrastructure of the tool to improve the functionality of it...

Even with out the onboarding module we have come up with many solutions to integrate the onboarding processes into too.

As rigid as the workflow is, Taleo has many functionalities which make this tool very flexible.

Comments: Taleo can be frustrating when you are first learning it, but once you get used to it, the system is actually quite logical. The way you move candidates through stages seems very logical, and is easy to understand/use when you think about it in this way.
A con of the system is the way it times out quite quickly, but I suppose that is typical of any system of this kind. Having to log back in regularly can be frustrating.
The search function works quite well.

It has been improving progressively but still a big company to adjust to company needs
