Pros: Hubstaff gives different levels of control that can be passed down through the command chain, allowing The Boss to have the total domination he needs to feel like The Boss while enabling middle management to fiddle usefully with things and retain enough control over their team's calendars and settings to not make them feel emasculated and vestigal. Even the rank-and-file employees themselves can be given a decent amount of control -- or not, if that's how you like it.

Cons: The calendars used on their Timesheet pages are really finicky -- sometimes, you swear the thing you just did in order to get from 'looking at today' to 'looking at yesterday' SHOULD have worked, but clearly didn't...and then you do the exact same thing again, and it works like you expected.

Also, and I realize that this is a problem in all similar software but it IS avoidable and SHOULD BE avoided even though it's not actually avoided anywhere, Hubstaff is not great at dealing with timezone changes. So if you have people on the East Coast, people on the West Coast, and people in the Philippines, two of those groups have to learn to think and act like they're in the third group's timezone, and that's hard when you're dealing with entry-level remote workers.

Overall: We're able to track the work time and habits of a mess of remote workers from the other side of the world with relatively little fuss.

Pros: Hubstaff is, hands down, the best time tracking platform on the market. My business would not function efficiently without it, and I honestly wouldn't be able to be as mobile as I am without it. My business model depends upon collaborations and Hubstaff makes that possible for me with very little time spent on administration. You simply can't beat the cost for what you get!

Cons: While Hubstaff is brilliant at what it does, I haven't upgraded to their premium account because I find the payroll and billing to lack the flexibility I need to work well. For example, it doesn't allow me to write-in a description of activities accomplished on the billing, which some of my clients require. So I'm stuck using other platforms for that. Also, there's so much potential in their task system to replace other project management platforms, but it's not there yet.

Overall: It saves me so much time and allows me to easily check work product progress for my staff and partner consultants who work a state a way or across the world. It also allow me to be completely mobile when I need to be and allows the same for my staff/partners.

A company that really gives that plus!

Comments: I am with them now for (I think) a month (and a half?). The desktop App works flawlessly. It is really easy to integrate with Gitlab, Github etc. (I did not try anything else since i'm using these only) My clients love that they can see that how much time I spent on an Issue. When I close the Issue with the desktop app, it comments to the issue the tracked time. I can feel that they really care about me as a customer. I had some issue with the payment (from my bank's side) they extended my trial so I can keep tracking time while my bank fixed the issue... :) I remember some week ago they were under maintenance for a short time on Sunday (when the less customer were tracking time). Unfortunately I was online, tracking my time, just to see that I lost 1 or 2 hour. I reported it, they told me sorry and they even offered to pay the lost hours. :) I turned down the offer since I could add it manually, but this is something that... that you may be never going to see from other companies. :) I tried a lot of time tracking solutions but stopped them using after 1-2 weeks. I'm still using Hubstaff ( I broke my personal record with them ) Maybe the great service, maybe the excellent customer support... I don't really know. They're just right for me.

Pros: They care about you. Good pricing / well priced. Easy to use Dashboard. Easy to use Desktop App. (that integrates pretty well with other services, like GitLab) They handle your problem lightning fast. Even if it requires further development. I mean seriously... you report a bug or something that it is not working as intended and it gets fixed in a short span of time... (mine got fixed in 1 or 2 weeks, it was some integration problem with Gitlab)

Cons: Well maybe if I could add manual time between any range, like: 8:01 - 8:08 not just every 10 minutes like: 8:00, 8:10, 8:20, 8:30... but I usually track instead of adding manually. :)

Pros: Hubstaff is a great tool to track down your team and ensure that team is productive in-spite of working in distributed environment.

It is not always necessary to closely monitor the people working for you, however sometimes it is unavoidable. Hubstaff gives a great way to feel satisfied that team is working on the right task & that too with good productivity.

Way to capture screen shots & track down activities are good.

Best way is to customize how many screen captures you want, & what all needs to be tracked.

It is great to use this tool on various platforms & track all very well.

Cons: I liked the previous theme better, though new look is good too.
In desktop version, sometimes I feeling async in time tracking vs web version, but all in all it is good.

Pros: Easy operation, flexible setup, convenient tariffs, and a good application. The big advantage is the integration with most services.

Cons: I would like to combine the advantages of the old version of the dashboard and a new one, for example, there is no daily activity in the new version. There are also problems with the desktop application. Namely, the setting of the monitors, from which the screenshots make the program. As an example, for the upwork - a screenshot from all monitors or only from an active one. And in response to complaints from users from the support service, only the answers come: turn off the monitor, start the application, then turn on the monitor, and, perhaps, you will succeed. Pros: I think the most valuable pro is to the person or company how you're working for, it gives you so much information about what the people is doing, the activity rates, etc. The time tracking is accuarated to the time you've been working. And it doesn't consume any of the PC resources at all.
You can have anywhere you are working, the phone, the PC. Even without having the app.

Cons: Casually I recently had a problem, my computer didn't updated to the summer so the hubstaff became a little crazy. The fact is that the customer support haven't help me at all, the reply the emails late, of telling my things like "you don't have access to internet". I think thats a way to improve the service, have better qualified people answering the customer issues. Other thing is that one day a person replys you and 4 hours later another completly different. that makes me think I'm dealing with bots.

Comments: This software has made it a million times easier to outsource work online, allowing me the freedom to find qualified people from outside my local area.

Pros: Accurately tracks time that someone works, providing screenshots and activity logs. They also offer logs of websites on while clocked in. It gives you security when outsourcing work to know that the time you are paying someone for is actually time worked. I have had instances where employees had been doing work for other customers while billing me for time and it has in turn allowed me to address issues immediately and saved money and time.

Cons: The activity tracker (where it tracks the % of productivity) is not accurate so it must be taken with a grain of salt. If you are not actively keystroking, it clocks the time as non-productive. Also, be careful when removing or adding employees as you may still be billed by hubstaff monthly for them.

I use hubstaff to keep an accurate record of how long I've spent on each episode/freelance project

Pros: I like how easy it is to separate my projects and start/stop the clock. My favorite feature is that hubstaff can detect when I've been idle and accidentally left the timer running.

Cons: I work in tv animation and use this software only for myself. Therefore, it has a ton of features that I don't need, and sometimes I think another product might be better for me. My main wish for hubstaff is that there was an intuitive way to just click on a project and see the total hours spent on it. A kind staff member helped me out with this issue, but I'd still rather see an easy way to just click on the project name and receive the results!

Overall: I was able to form a more accurate picture for myself of how long it truly takes me to design a full episode, as well as my daily average, and it's helped me work towards my goals of being more productive.

Pros: - Great value for the money
- The integration with our task tool, Asana, works pretty well
- Ability to set internal and external rates per hour
- Daily task summary emails are helpful
- Time/Screen tracking has worked flawlessly--which is the core of the product.
- Timesheets can be reviewed

Cons: - Reporting is finicky. Has the basic options but not too granual
- The desktop (Windows) app is dated. It works, but doesn't look great. And the integration with Asana leaves much to be desired (tasks are not laid out properly)
- Inability to initiate the desktop client from the Asana web app. So, to start time on a task, you need to find it in Asana, then find the same one in the desktop app (which is difficult when you have multiple tasks using the same name), then click "Start"
- Asana integration does not update itself when projects are removed, renamed, or added.

Pros: Hubstaff is one of the daily tools we used in our Startup. As techies, we need to be always connected, with other team members, colleagues, and clients. It's good to have this tool since our core office is in SF and all our developers are around the world!

Cons: I think there's a lot of space to grow in the design perspective. For example, I think the timer can be more friendly for the user in this case de developer and also it could have other functionality like see screenshots directly from the app without the necessity to open the web page.

Pros: I have experience with Hubstaff as a member, keeping track of my work, and as a manager, keeping track of other people's job. In both ends this tool have been very helpful. Takes a couple of tries to the hang of it, but not a big deal. Is a very helpful tool as it's beneficial for everyone, employers and employees.

Cons: When I was using it as an employee to keep track of my work, it bothered me that sometimes I forgot to start the time again. I wish there would be an easier and more visual way to make sure the time is running, something like notifications every onces in a while to let you know how much time you've been working.

Overall: It's beneficial for everyone! Keeps everything fair and transparent

Pros: *It is easy to use and install also has extensive documentation and support
* Although it has a very simple and intuitive interface, it is a very powerful tool with very complete reports that allows the individual or group follow-up of remote work teams.
*Thanks to the screen captures allows the real-time monitoring of each progress and evaluate how the work time of each person is actually used.
*The client software is very light and almost does not consume computer resources.

Cons: *It would be great that it would work offline and when recovering connection it will be synchronized with the server and not lose activity reports due to connection failures

Comments: We had started using Hubstaff in order to minimize wasted time spent by employees and improve our tracking on projects for budgeting. Problem = solved. :) In fact, we get additional data, like activity level, which helps a lot. In the end, we were very happy with our employees, and continue to be! For reference, we're a distributed team of 8 who build customized virtual solutions for our partners looking to grow their business online! One note: You may get some push back from employees to use this, but in my experience, those who dislike it have been dishonest. Most are completely fine with it!

Pros: The pros of the software are simple: you know what people are working on, and when! It makes your operation incredibly efficient. There are lots of integrations and the support is fantastic. One nice touch is the daily notification emails that are sent with time worked, and level of activity. We share these publicly with the team.

Cons: Overall it's a great app. The only cons are: - I wish the public API was more robust, so we could integrate Hubstaff further into other software. - The UI is a bit dated, so sometimes we have to do a few more steps than I think necessary.

Pros: Fully functional monitoring and time tracking of remote teams of workers at an affordable price.

The screen capture functionality works well, and there are plenty of customisation in order to balance out the privacy of the worker and the need to capture a desktop screen to ensure that the remote contractor is working.

The application also provides the ability to monitor application usage and URLs, it integrates nicely with JIRA.

It is far superior in my opinion to the tools provided by Upwork and Freelancer.com, moreover the interface is clean and intuitive.

Cons: Payroll; for automatic payments, your options are limited to Payoneer or to Bitwallet.

Traditional corporations tend to be a bit adverse to using tools such as these.

The support of Transferwise or Paypal would be helpful.

(NB: They do support these platforms for manual ad hoc payments).

Overall: Freelancer.com didn't provide sufficient oversight over contractors paid by time, so I made use of Hubstaff. Hubstaff showed me the pain points of the (apparently rather shy) contractor that I was able to help them overcome in order to make them more productive and make their role more enjoyable.

Pros: Allows me to keep tabs on my work in the office or on the road, and to quickly swap between projects when the phone rings. I really like the reports on cumulative hours and the ability to download the data and analyse it in excel. Most importantly the fact that it detects when I have walked away and asks me if I want to delete that time is brilliant. It also allows me to edit times later if I want to add some out of the office time.

Cons: I find the date selection fairly clunky and alsofind it difficult to remember where the particular reports are that I would like. Adding the ability to specify my own default date periods and reports would be good.

Overall: I recommend this software all the time. It makes it so easy for me to keep track of my work and plan invoicing.

Pros: It drives productivity among my team! It also sends reports each time for each user and also for each project daily. It's easy to pull up reports such as time spent, and productivity of each member to know whether or not they worked diligently or slacked off.

Cons: No webcam shots so it would really help if this is incorporated. With virtual workers, it helps to see the member who's in front of the computer, depending on the project on hand and the clientele who hires our team. At times, I encounter this request from our US-based clients.

Overall: Hubstaff drives productivity and this is what makes it best.

I work on several grants and to ensure that this is tracked, I use Hubstaff to track my own time.

Pros: I can have different grants listed and when I work on those grants, all I have to do press a button to track my time. When I am doing my own personal admin, time can be tracked too. This has increased my awareness of how my own time is spent and also when I am neglecting some of the my projects.

Cons: I have not used this on the laboratory computer since it takes screenshots which may contain confidential information and am prohibited from letting that get out. I have talked to the customer services that and mentioned that I would like their function taken out and it is a huge security risk.

Overall: I can manage my own time better and can see over the course of the week, which are the projects that I am neglecting. This helps me plan my time for the coming week.

Pros: We use the Basecamp integration, which makes project setup very straightforward. It's easy to import our projects, add the right team members and generate reports.

Cons: It could use some UX improvements (e.g. which toggles are defaults, how summaries are shown) but once you get the hang of the software it's not a big deal.

Overall: It helps us maintain the budgets on our projects, and allows for more accurate billing to clients.

Pros: Simple to use, cost effective and allows me to see what my staff is actually doing. No more paying for time on social media.

Cons: Not much I don't like. It could just be me, but it took me a while to get the hang of using it. I still am finding some things that seems a little foreign to me, but overall, it's great.

Overall: Being able to control my payroll expenses is huge. As a small company who is in a fast growth process, having a knowledge and control of staff performance is really important to long term survival. I've been able to keep my employees happier as well, because many of them have come to me from staffing services, who take a good portion of their salary as a fee. My employees are now keeping their money and know that they are also being paid for the work that they produce. Win-win for both sides!

Comments: Best tools to track resource activity. Good for small and large organisations.

Pros: I am using hub staff since last 2 years. Its very good to track resource work and their activity. One of the most part is, you can get all type of report and generate timesheet of resources. Good Product.

Pros: Records working time fairly accurately. Easy to record, takes 2 mouse clicks. Can customize working projects (really neat feature). The hubstaff design logo is simple and looks Good.

Cons: Sometimes glitches. I used hubstaff on my phone and sometimes it didn't sycn with the hubstaff on my PC. Wants updated almost every couple of months.

Pros: it simple to use, the login process is easy with no ridiculous loading or something like that. the task although well oriented to make start work immediately.

Cons: ui of the program is too old they need to refresh the designs and make it more materialistic with keeping everything simple as that ( as we may found unnecessary flicking due to this updates).

Overall: i use it to track my time record along the day, it help me keep productive and track which projects i am working on it right now and what i will work on it after that, that nice features helps me keep focus and productive.

Pros: I can track our employees across the world and accurately know what they did when. It is head and shoulders above any other tracker I used.

Cons: Managing more than 10 employees gets pricey on month to month and most smaller businesses can't handle that large of an annual charge.

Pros: I love hubstaff because it's very easy to use and it's a great way to keep up with your employees, you can add as many projects as you want and put each employee in a project. You can track time and see their screenshots as well as their activity levels. It's great for a start up or a remote team

Cons: The only thing I don't like about Hubstaff is the fact that you have to pay for a determined amount of members, you can't pay per person, you have to pay the plan. For example, If I have 30 employees and needed 1 more, I have to pay a plan for 40 people.

Overall: I can check everyone's work in one page. I don't have to worry about getting real time worked from the employees because I can see how much they worked from Hubstaff

Pros: The ability to manage my time is phenomenal. Super easy to track and view hours on projects, adjust time when necessary, and statistically track a plethora of information and make informed decisions based on this data. All under a refined, easy-to-use software package that isn't intrusive to my day-to-day operations.

Cons: I would love the ability to send reports on a schedule to someone. My secretary asks for my timesheet every Monday and I have to manually export the previous week to PDF and email. I'd love to just set this to auto run.

Overall: We use this to help estimate on future projects that are similar in scale and scope in a very difficult world of estimation (creative advertising).

Pros: The best feature is the ability to capture screenshots at specified intervals. It allows us to not only track if our workers are at their desk (on their computer) but also to ensure they are being productive.
They also have many integrations that really help automate some of the tedious tasks we hate doing such as reporting and invoice generation.

Cons: The only thing I don't like is the project management side of things. Every new project requires an admin to go in and add it to the list. We want it to sync up with our project management tool. There are several integrations that allow this, however, it still requires you to map it to hubstaff.

Pros: The dashboard has lots of options, I especially like the clear way it displays activity so you can see the hours you've worked with screenshots showing what you were doing at those times.

Cons: If you're working close to midnight, it sometimes jumps backwards 10 minutes so it says you've been working for 10 mins less than you have. A few of my colleagues have noticed this too. I think that's the only bug I've noticed though

Overall: It helps me keep track of my working hours and also shows me what I was doing at which times.

We've loved having Hubstaff as part of our daily workflow!

Pros: Being able to accurately track our employees and see where the time was spent. This helps us so much is setting new goals, removing tasks we found to not be as beneficial and implement new systems to get things done more efficiently.

Cons: I wish the mobile version was a little better. One of our employees works a lot on the phone and her hours are often harder to track more accurately. But truly, there isn't much to dislike! We've been more happy with this software than anything!

Really easy to use as an employee, don't feel super strongly one way or another about it.

Pros: Neat little pop up window type feature/app that just had the basic start/stop features. Easy to input manually when you've missed a punch.

Cons: Kinda felt a little weird having random snapshots of my screen taken at any time while the clock is running. Sometimes I'd forget to clock out for breaks, and it'd be taking snapshots of my personal stuff like Facebook and twitter since i worked from home on a personal computer. Otherwise, it's a fine program.

Overall: Easiest time clock I've ever had to use.

A good stable product but the interface can be difficult to use.

Pros: The ability to add manual time, task related entries, recording of screenshots if needed. We don't use the invoicing and payments part of the service.

Cons: Reporting is difficult to use and clunky. For example custom date ranges aren't supported on all reports, and when calculating team hours on a report for a project, you either have to have a detailed report without a tally of hours at the end, or a summary report which doesn't detail individual listings but does give a tally of hours.

Pros: Quick start with minimal technical knowledge. This system gives users the ability to track and monitor staff effort without an intrusive, cumbersome interface. It's priced perfect!

Cons: The scroll bar on the side menu! The Payroll feature is not user friendly and does not offer enough options or for payment. The system doesn't permit enough tailoring of features (e.g. multiple budget utilization triggers).

Overall: We are able to manage team members efforts located across the country with ease.

Pros: The ability to track screenshots and activity is great, I like that you can send payments through hubstaff though I've never been able to figure out how to actually do it.

Cons: There are some features that are missing - I would like to be able to add PTO to it for instance.
It's really difficult sometimes to understand what is going on with some of the dashboards
I think that it's a little over priced for the feature set it offers

Pros: It is very easy to use to track time -- I especially like the "idle feature" that gives you the option to keep or get rid of idle time. I like the ability to easily look over my week's time.

Cons: I wish that it were easier to see the number of hours worked in a particular span of time. It would be nice to be able to start the weekday on an arbitrary day. It would be nice to be able to add/edit time from the desktop app, or to have the desktop app synchronize more effectively with the website when time has been added or edited.

Overall: I can more easily track my work time, which is very nice as a graduate student with an unstructured workday.

Pros: I like the way its doing the job of monitoring the employees to be productive in work and this has stopped them doing personal work in the office. The screen shots every 5 mins is a cherry on the cake.

Cons: I feel the activity tracking should be improved when an employee is doing work apart from using the keyword or mouse. Sometimes they are on a video conference with the client or watching a training video.

Overall: Team monitoring, Idle time management, Improved activity, Improved performance, No personal work . The team is able to concentrate on their work and sit continuously on their desk doing their task. They take less breaks and work hard.

Pros: I really like that we can view screenshots and also set pay rates for each individual employee. Also we have the ability to connect with asana project board too which keeps everything very organized.

Cons: So far the only thing that I thing could be improved is the reporting system of payment history as I would like to see which user was paid which amount. At the moment it just shows payment date and payment amount.

Pros: Screenshots every 3 minutes and I would be able to continue to use your service IF GPS location worked reliably, but it does not. If your horrible customer service reps manage to contact me to fix it, we could stay with Hubstaff.

Cons: Hoodini only pays consultants that use the mobile location Hubstaff AND screenshot activity so when GPS isn't working properly our consultants do not get paid for their time. When its not functioning, they cannot work or make any money to pay their bills so you can imagine how angry they are so we are now looking for a reliable service.

Pros: It is very easy to use, even those that are not so techie could be able to get around the software. The convenience of the deskto app when working on your computer, plus the mobile app that you can log in when you need to work remotely at times.

Cons: I hope you can have screenshots available with the mobile application soon as it would be a lot convenient where you can work when you are away, and if your laptop run out of battery when you left the charger or may have no access to any electricity or charging ports.

Pros: screenshots, active percentage during working hours, notes of what was accomplish during the time period. Reporting area for tabulation of time over a two week period, payment integrations as well.

Cons: It took some time to organize the administrative area and the reporting areas. The calendar selection was a bit tricky and which reports provided the right information was tricky as well. But once you on-boarded with the software, it was super easy to use and continue to use.

Pros: Hubstaff is a great tool for tracking remote workers. I can keep track of how much work they are doing, and get screen shots at random times to make sure they're not playing Candy Crush instead of working!

Cons: The activity tracker only tracks keystrokes, and sometimes a project is more mouse clicks, so it makes it look like the employee isn't working as hard as they really are.

Pros: Hubstaff works just like it should, tracking time against a project (we use it to track time against client work). It can also help report how much of a projects budget you've used based on the time worked.

Cons: Hubstaff could really benefit from better exporting customization. Sending something to an Excel sheet is pretty limited in how you can structure it.

Pros: The easy time tracking tool and the possibilities of generating reports. When I send my hours to my employer it is very easy to export a timesheet with an overview of my projects and hours.

Comments: Compare fees vs features when deciding on a time tracking tool

Pros: Hubstaff gives great insight into what your employees are doing while on the clock. Screenshot grabbing capability is a cool feature. 24/7 support is available and nice to have if needed.

Cons: No IP restrictions is a big concern. This means employees can be working from anywhere, as opposed to just the office location. The reporting is very basic and has room for improvement.

Pros: The ability to track hours worked! I am able to see what hours were worked by them and pay them myself via PayPal. No hidden fees like upwork!

Cons: Nothing. I used all the free features and as it was it was perfect!

One thing though, it confused my overseas contractor when I sent payments. She was 12 hours ahead of me so she didn't realize her Monday's were on my Sunday payment.

Pros: With Hubstaff, I can easily keep track of my entire team either they are in the office in front of their computers or working remotely with the mobile tracker app.

Cons: I could not keep track on my staff who are working in the production areas as they are not in front of the computer which is a drawback.

Overall: i can easily keep track of office staff and how much they are working on certain times...

Pros: Reporting is very in-depth and the level of control the app offers in terms of tracking options is amazing.

Pros: Clean and easy to use interface. Monitoring and time tracking of remote teams of workers at an affordable price.

The customer service has been exceptional. They have provided training and step by step assistance whenever I needed it.

Cons: Haven't run into any major issues with this software or the use of it. So I can't really complain about it.

Pros: price is awesome. Simple nice design. Enough features to run our management stuff. Easy to use for manager and the team

Cons: we have a lot of small issues(places which we would like to improve)
there are few features we need but you don't have them.. and i feel support is not proper person to communicate with me about it

Pros: The HubTalent portal is a great alternative to Upwork. I have not tried the premium subscription yet, but the feature allowing time tracking the workers on hubtalent wuld be useful.

Cons: The lack of payroll tracking by month, not everything by week. The administrator view should be different than the user view. Make different levels of access.

Pros: Does exactly what I need it to. Helps me track my billable hours, exporting reports for clients is super easy, gives me just the amount of detail I need. The app is helpful for tracking hours on the go too.

Cons: Wish I could track hours without downloading software on a public or borrowed computer. Besides that, can't think of any negatives.

Pros: Tracks and monitors remote staff easily, and effectively. Very easy for staff to install and use daily. Tracks metrics, logged hours, % of time work and takes screenshots to double check staff. (I found out one of my staff members 'was' spending 3-4 hours per day to catch up on his TV watching time - hubstaff solved this problem and saved me more money in a month than I will pay in 2 years for the product!

Cons: There is a slight learning curve, but nothing hard. Because the software has a lot of advanced features it will take a few log in's and playing around to fully utilize 100%.

Overall: Time tracking, screenshots, making staff accountable, ease of use - saves me a lot of money in staff idle time.

Easy to use and teach all levels of personnel.

Pros: Visual keys and dashboards. The time is tracked accurately and per project. The reports are professional and useful for executives and front line employees to understand their work habits.

Cons: Limited users. when users log in offsite on mobile devise, coverage becomes a challenge. Users should not use while driving yet waiting to connect.

Pros: Easy to use, free in the basic version, but powerful.
My employee thinks he's being tracked (I don't track him honestly), and that's enough to generate a flowing productive work on his side.

Cons: I can't think of anything I don't like about it. I'd probably be back to the paid version at some point.

Overall: Actually recommended it today to a friend :)

Pros: I have liked the automatic tracking of time and the utilization of time. It sure takes the guesswork out of how your virtual assistants are doing.

Cons: I have found trying to setup the automatic payments almost impossible. Hubstaff asks you to be approved for mass payments from PayPal. Paypal asks you what you'll be paying for. You tell Paypal that you're using the mass payments to pay other people for their wages and PayPal did not approve me because they're policy doesn't include payroll. BitWage still can't verify my checking account, so I've had to manually pay my virtual assistant for the last month and still haven't resolved the inability to pay automatiacally.

Overall: Tracking software.

Pros: Screen captures to help me keep my staff accountable! This helps me keep my staff on track and I can ask them specifics about their day.

Cons: trying to get the payroll option set up. its a bit cumbersome. I would like to be able to pay my staff at different times based on their position. From what I know this isn't possible yet.

Pros: I use it for tracking and reporting. The free features a god enough. If you need more in depth reporting, it has the tools. Also, I love that it tracks minute for minute, unlike Upwork.

Cons: It freezes on some more dated systems. Its not fast on a high end Windows 7 system, but great on an average Windows 10 pc.

Awesome platform for a great price (on the free plan now, but am thinking to change to a paid plan)

Pros: I like how I can track the time for each of my tasks. That way I know where I spent most of my time and I can adjust and plan my schedule accordingly.

Cons: Sometimes newly added tasks doesn't immediately show in the list and there is no refresh button. So I need to log out and log in again to refresh my tasks list.

Pros: That it tracks my hours without the hassle and that I'm able to add or remove time as well. That's all I really use it for, I don't use it for anything else or for tracking work productivity.

Pros: I am able to show accountability with my boss and the hours I have worked. I also like that I can update times when I am away from computer.

Cons: I get paid every two weeks- so I would like a way to set up something that just automatically emails me every two weeks

Pros: I have some issue while I tried to export time data to a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet was incorrect.
Another Con of the Soft is lack of integration with other App- Asana.

Cons: Easy to understand UI; main features- screenshots; fast to start and work; easy time data analytics.

Cons: Like with any software, you have to get used to the platform because it's new. You have to use it regularly, otherwise, it's like learning any new tool.

Comments: Overall, I really like Hubstaff instead of other Time tracking apps. Will definitely recommend to other users. Reasons are stated below.

Pros: 1. User friendly - Looks intimidating and complicated at first but its actually pretty straightforward 2. Affordable - Doesn't cost as much as other apps 3. Customer support is amazing - they reply really fast and you dont feel as if youre speaking to robots who only give you links to FAQ's when you ask them a question. I mean customer experience is better as they build relationships in their conversations. 4. So many ways to see reports - convenient that you can check your Activity or your total work everyday for the week.

Cons: 1. Interface appearance can be improved. 2. When you dont have internet connection - you cant log in or work offline

Pros: Hubstaff app for windows works quite well and has the functionalities needed for time keeping.
Hour reporting is also easy to use.

Cons: Hubstaff tasks integration still not working so well. I would prefer to have all task management working directly from the main Hubstaff application.

Pros: Hubstaff makes it easy for us to track our remote team and ensure they are only working the hours they need to. It's great to be able to track the different projects accurately. We have a big focus on work life balance and we want to ensure our staff aren't putting in too many hours. If they are we can discuss and mitigate this. The desktop application is also great for me as the director to see where my time is actually going across our projects.

Cons: The invoicing component is not very useful, however being able to hook into other invoicing systems makes this mostly a mute point.

Overall: Great time tracking features.

Pros: It's really convenient, and a well-known App/service so I can send timesheets to clients without them being questioned. The drop-down list of projects right in my browser is quikc and easy.

Cons: The set-up process is unclear on teams and projects - it guides you to set up other companies and integrations, when all I needed was to set up my clients as projects. The setup wizard stopped halfway. It's not designed for solo user accounts. Part of the Menu is hidden behind a button that says Get Started which never went away after I got started.

Overall: I'm able to use it to replace my Upwork time tracker, which doesn't work on my Chromebook I use for travel.

I had a greate experience with the Hubstaff. I've come to love it especially with the new dashboard.

Comments: Hubstaff is the best time-tracking software we have used. Our team is spread out all over the world. We also have members working in the same office space. But, however we work, we use Hubstaff to ensure our productivity, especially since all of our work are done using a computer. If this is the set-up of your team, I highly recommend Hubstaff for you.
For the managers, this is also a great tool to track everyone in one glance. The daily reports and statistics can give you an idea on how your team is performing.
Hubstaff also updated their offering, which now makes it the most competitive productivity and time-tracking tool in the web. You can see the URL your team visits while working. You can also see their notes.
Because of Hubstaff, the stress on micromanaging is reduced.
For me, I personally use Hubstaff to track my own productivity as well. I can see if I have been working or if I was just wasting my time browsing Facebook.
Whether you are a small team or a huge enterprise, Hubstaff is the best tool for everyone (even for one-person businesses).

Pros: I also installed hubstaff in my other laptop and it automatically continues the time where I left from my main laptop. And it always sends reports the day after.

Cons: So far, I have no complaints whatsoever. Hubstaff is pretty much convenient for a remote worker like me.

Pros: The random screenshots are amazing! While it's rare I find time to check them, the threat of knowing they're there means more honest time logging from freelancers. In the first month I saw my monthly expected freelancer bills (across 8 freelancers) drop by over 30%! It's highlighted an issue with one freelancer in particular and prompted a staff change.

Cons: It is quite expensive and I wish it was more affordable so that I could roll it out to people that only do a few hours a month for me.

Overall: Reduced costs and increased productivity. We're also about to use it as a sales tool, increasing transparency with our customers.

Pros: It's small, but I enjoy the ability to attach documents to the spreadsheet rows. It comes in really handy.

Cons: I'd prefer it to auto-save when switching between different sheets within the program. That's been a difficult adjustment over using Excel. Additionally, I had two Excel spreadsheets to upload yesterday into Smartsheet. I wasn't able to copy all rows and paste into Smartsheet. I was only able to copy one row at a time.
Lastly, I wish there was the option to select all by choosing the upper most left cell in the same way you can select all in Excel.

Overall: Ease of use and ability to quickly share with my team.

Pros: It was easy to use, was well designed. It had a desktop component which is very important for me in my workflows.

Cons: The crux of the problem for me was difficulty of tracking time and doing invoicing in one easily. The feature sets for both the invoicing and the time tracking were too minimal. I need to track time against tasks in Jira & Trello for two different clients and then invoice them separately for my time spent. Hubstaff didn't do this very well. I went with a combination of TimeDoctor and Zoho Invoicing which is a good solution and has a fair feature set on both time tracking and invoicing.

Pros: The time tracking features is great. I discovered Hubstaff when looking for a time tracking application that is cross platform (Mac/Windows), automatically syncs time w/notes to Freshbooks. I was sold on Hubstaff when I discovered it has time tracking reminders, in case you have not tracked any time in x amount of minutes. This is great if you are prone to forgetting to start your timer.

Cons: Can not submit time tracked instantly (does so on an interval). The schedules feature is nice, however if I want to plan my day and schedule hourly, Hubstaff does not have this support.

Pros: Ease of use and ability to quickly get employees on board with using it. I have not had any employees complain about using it. We love the integration to Trello so not only can we track time but we can also track time to specific projects.

Cons: I wish it were free :) Seriously, we have 1 employee that uses an extremely outdated Apple laptop and the operating system is not supported. However, we have been able to get them to use the Chrome extension instead.

Overall: Ability to monitor employees and the work that they are doing and that they are truely doing the work they have stated they are working on.

It is a great software for time tracking, it also contains other great features such as screenshots.

Pros: It is a great alternative to other time tracking softwares, for personal or team tracking matters it's perfect.

Cons: Nothing, everything is perfect. Great software for tracking time, and even idle time, good for teams also.
