It helps to evaluate the team productivity. Reports are useful and work well for remote teams. Cons Sometimes app feels a bit slow, and user can be more user-friendly. I work remotely and it's easy to implement and use. Pros What I like most about this product is that it's easy to implement, both from the employer from the emploee's perspective. Cons There's nothing I don't like. Maybe that it doesn't give you totals when you export it. You only can export hours. "Lookup project, see time billed" does not exist. How can a time tracking software not have a simple report showing me all the time billed to one project and by who? They constantly tell you all these convoluted steps to figure it out and they expect you to spend 10 minutes everytime you want the info. Now imagine it's the end of the month and you want to bill all your clients for time spent... Hubstaff makes it worse actually. Pros It accurately does additions of time and tells me who recorded what so I know what to pay. That's about it. Cons Customer support is terribly bad. Used them 8, 9x for different things, and it was always terrible. They provide phone support if they consider you a VIP customer who spends a certain amount with them. Otherwise support is through email and their virtual-online agent which is absolutely asinine. The email agents which are ostensibly humans seem to just send you FAQ links. Timesheet approvals stopped being a weekly chase and the QuickBooks sync removed the manual step that used to sit between approved hours and payroll. Once the team understood how the monitoring worked the friction disappeared and it just became part of the routine. Pros The automatic time tracking with activity monitoring is what separated Hubstaff from other tools we looked at. Screenshots and activity rates running in the background meant we had an accurate picture of productive hours without anyone manually logging anything. The GPS tracking for field based team members was a specific win, job site hours that used to be self reported and occasionally inconsistent became verifiable without any awkward conversations. Payroll integration meant approved hours fed directly into pay runs without a separate data entry step at the end of every period. Cons Screenshot frequency needs to be calibrated early on otherwise it feels intrusive. Default settings created some pushback from the team before we found the right balance. Cons babysitting and micromanaging professionals 101. For roles like sales, Business development - it is more important to have screen time rather than build relationships (you know actual results). And i wish, hubstuff has a CRM for sales too, cause i like this brand, and i believe if hubstuff make CRM sales, it would be better than monday, salesforce, and pipedrive. I had employee only work 80hr/month. Maybe there is a cheap price according to the hours spend? - There was a problem with the integration with Trello before finally we move to hubstuff task. But, all my hours were tracked properly and I didn’t have any issues with the software. Pros The clock-in/clock-out widget made clocking in and out super easy. The dashboard had everything I needed to know about my quality and performance for each task. For me, as a user, this software used an excessive amount of processing power, and its UI not even well-thought out. Pros It does provide with very specific features to keep record of time spent working helping with accountability. Cons Its interface is not very appealing, with many widgets spread across sections that use too much space of the screen. Also, for some reason it made my Mac Air M2 run way slower and overheat. At the moment of installation, because of all the permissions it requires, I was alerted by the laptop's built-in security agent that many of my passwords had been stolen. That was a major red flag. Hubstaff does require certain permissions to track activity accurately but we take data privacy and security very seriously. That said, your feedback on the UI and performance is valuable. However, we'd like to note that Hubstaff was designed to use a minimal amount of system resources, about 15-40 MB of memory. If you have multiple and/or large displays, it may go up to 100 MB. Pros 1 - Ease of tracking the work and also getting review like the activity. 2 - It helps us in keeping track of our work and also the idle time alerts help in monitoring the work. 3 - The most important pros for me is the alert which I get if i forgot to start the timer that helps in tracking the time. 4 - Also is I track the wrong hours means in another project it is very easy to shift the time to another project with a few clicks. Cons 1 - Sometime there is issues with the interface means for a particular functionality we have to do a lot of clicks rather than a simple navigation or shortcut. 2 - There could be privacy concerns not sure about that as the screen is recorded.
