Pros

  • They are super responsive and attentive to our account. The clarity in the dashboard and ease of use of the app and online tracking tool is superb.

  • On my last job for a transportation company, we used this tool, it is an amazing app, I love the intelligent way it is designed. Actually it helped us on organizing work and on tracking via JPS.

  • Whenever there is an issue (which can happen even in the best of companies )it can always be solved quickly and smoothly by the lovely people in customer support.

  • Dashboard is awesome, time tracking & screenshot management impressed me & automatic payment system is good.

Cons

  • Hubstaff showed that we were not working at all for that hour meeting, which skews the daily metric TERRIBLY.

  • It's terrible being monitored by mouse and keyboard usage for 8+ hours a day. Your productivity isn't measured by those metrics.

  • There's no payroll integration with Payoneer. It's tough to do payroll with limited options.

  • It ends up being distracting and fosters an unhealthy urgency mindset. If you forget to switch time between projects, it can be confusing to redistribute it.

"Excellent Product"

Overall: In the rare instances where I've needed assistance, HubStaff's customer support has been responsive and helpful. Their team is dedicated to resolving issues promptly, ensuring that I can get back to work without any disruptions.

Pros: As a manager of a companymanaging multiple projects and clients, the HubStaff time tracking software has proven to be an absolute game-changer for my business. Its seamless integration, user-friendly interface, and robust features have made tracking time for billing purposes a breeze, while its detailed reports have empowered me to make more informed business decisions

Cons: As a devoted user of HubStaff, I've found the platform to be an invaluable asset in streamlining my time tracking and billing processes. However, I believe there's a significant opportunity for improvement by incorporating features that align with Israeli finance laws. Israel has unique regulatory requirements, and integrating these into HubStaff would undoubtedly elevate the platform's appeal for users in this region.

"A good cheap tracking for development users on a budget"

Overall: It is a program initially for engineers with a small budget or professionals with a low budget who want to take into account the time they spend on each work task, this is essential to be able to move forward. It is limited so that executive staff can see the real performance of the employees below, it is closed in that sense and they do not like it. I liked it in many functions and I would recommend it but I would make clear the problems of aspects that I found.

Pros: This program gives me a feeling of real-time optimization. By having a clear vision of how my time is being used, I can identify areas in which they could be more efficient and make adjustments to optimize workflow in each task, this gives me a feeling of real-time optimization. I like it mainly because I don't have much time, on the other hand the prices were comfortable and sometimes you could accumulate invoices for payment the next month without penalties.

Cons: Productivity monitoring is very limited, I think it did not allow data to be delivered to senior managers, the way to give them real-time access to the performance of our tasks was very problematic.

Reasons for Switching to Hubstaff: They had a very tangled work dynamic, they never logged in and sometimes the data got lost in a sea of options.

"An amazing App with amazing features"

Overall: It was an amazing experience overall, it open me up to a lot of opportunities.

Pros: Its easy to use and has a lot of amazing features

Cons: To update some data can be difficult, but all the same it's cool

"Expectations vs reality"

Overall: Exciting but extremely frustrating. The support staff, while helpful are limited in what they can actually assist with resulting in many tickets being sent to the development team and extremely lengthy delays in any kind of response, if at all.

Pros: The tasks add on is great for project management and keeping staff on track

Cons: Auto clock in is unreliable due to mobile data reception in some buildings. A lot of the features are not working and I am still waiting on support to rectify them, including my inbox, which makes it extremely difficult for me to track my own tasks and organise my day. Notifications have been turned off several times in organisation and personal settings but everyone is still being slammed with emails. The work orders are very clunky and there are no options to duplicate for one or two days (only) rather than weekly, or monthly. The timesheets are a joke - manual tracking is inconsistent and manual entries after the shift for payroll purposes are clunky and time consuming, especially for long shifts where you need to record a meal break.

"Huge money saver"

Overall: I have been using Hubstaff since the start of the pandemic. It has “helped” with more accurate employee time keeping. Has definitely paid for its self multiple times over

Pros: Multiple formats for tracking employees time

Cons: When it doesn’t log in an employee at house

"Neutral experience"

Overall: I would describe it as a neutral experience. This software has as many pros as it has cons in my opinion, but regardless, most of the times it does the job, plus is has some tools that are helpful to keep track of personal tasks.

Pros: I liked the fact that it actually gives the option to cap the worked hours and all the reminders of how many hours you have left to work, which is not something I had with previous time tracking systems.

Cons: To be fair, the software slowed my computer down significantly, and while trying to use it in my iOS systems it would randomly stop tracking time or taking screenshots.

"Great but a bit pricey"

Overall: I was great my only complaint is the price point to have multiple users.

Pros: I like the time tracking ability and the screenshot taken to monitor employee activity.

Cons: I find it too expensive and with too many up sells for a well rounded product experience.

"Works fine, but not the best option on the market"

Overall: Our employees did not find it user-friendly to begin working on different tasks with the clock running, and would often forget to switch tasks -- which resulted in an inaccurate picture of how they were spending their shifts.

Pros: Hubstaff worked well for managing employee clock-in and clock-out, providing reports on how each team member was doing.

Cons: Our employees would often forget to clock back in after breaks. We ultimately switched away from Hubstaff because we found a solution that worked better for our team.

"First time user and admin review"

Overall: Okay but I am not satisfied with the advance billing process and the support is not that fast to response.

Pros: It is user friendly and easy to navigate

Cons: I do not like the advance billing as it ruins our accounting since we have to do adjustments for the next period.

"Hubstaff, Great tool."

Overall: I am a supervisor with 6 people in charge. I have to check their login and log out times, plus their productivity times, their PTO request, etc. Hubstaff helped me a lot with this.

Pros: It is very accurate about all the information provided, and very detailed. You can have control over all your employees.

Cons: I don't have any complain about it. Maybe how are the teams distributed can be more friendly to use.

"Good app, but the employers may use it as a form of micromanaging"

Overall: My experience was great in terms of both usability and accessibility, font was big enough for people like me with low vision, and the website respects contrast as indicated on the accessibility guidelines.

Pros: The platform is simple to use, desktop app works smoothly.

Cons: It really depends on the use the employer wants to give Hubstaff, In my experience some employers may use the platform as a way of micromanaging the employees. I didn't like the screenshots every 5 minutes, I found that to be excessive.

"Great Product for Remote Employees"

Overall: My overall experience with Hubstaff has been great. The program is cost effective and a great way to monitor remote employees.

Pros: I love using Hubstaff for our remote employees. It gives me access to see screenshots of what they are working on, assign tasks, job cost their time, and easily see what I need to pay each employee.

Cons: The only thing I do not like about Hubstaff is the desktop version needs to be downloaded to utilize the full services that hubstaff offers. I have to explain this to new employees, and some do not want to download the application.

"Managing Work Hours Made Easy"

"Activity % must be improved"

Overall: The activity % is quite annoying. Because though I work continuously it never reaches 100%

Pros: It is helping to track work hours. The recent feature to calculate idle time is good.

Cons: I am not a developer and the Activity % never reaches 100% though I am continuously working.

Overall: Hubstaff has proven to be an effective time management and productivity analysis tool. Its ability to track employee locations and generate detailed reports has assisted us in improving team efficiency and collaboration. Although the integrations could be expanded, Hubstaff's core functionality is solid and provides useful insights for informed decision-making. I recommend this platform to businesses looking to improve the productivity and performance of their work teams.

Pros: I appreciate the ability to track employees' locations and record time based on their geographic location. This feature is available through Hubstaff, and it allows me to easily monitor the activity of my team members, particularly those who work in different locations. This has been particularly beneficial for distributed teams, and it has improved our coordination and collaboration.Hubstaff provides detailed reporting and analytics on teamwork time, productivity, and efficiency in addition to location tracking. This information has enabled us to make more informed decisions and improve our work processes. The ability to analyze how time is distributed and where changes can be made has allowed us to maximize productivity while reducing inefficiencies.

Cons: Hubstaff's integration with other tools is one of its limitations. While it includes some integrations with specific tools, I believe this section could be expanded to include more options. As a digital marketer, I use several tools that are specific to my job, and it would be advantageous to have a deeper integration with them within Hubstaff.

"A great tool for time tracking"

Pros: How easy it is to use, especially the attention to UX on the website

Cons: Sometimes the pages are difficult to load. Oftentimes, it's due to my network but sometimes when everything else works fine, Hubstaff won't load. Not a con, just something that bothered me a few times.

"Managing teams"

Overall: Very good. It does take time to manage but it always worth the investment

Pros: It is effective in managing a team when you are a remote manager

Cons: That there is no app. And I also find it quite hard to find tasks if I dont know which project they are in .

"Easy Time Tracking But Has Some Downfalls"

Overall: I find Hubstaff to be user friendly but with downfalls that affect my overall opinion. If the desktop app did not impact the performance of my device, I would be happier with Hubstaff. Some features I can appreciate the intention but can't always be used reliably, such as the activity tracker. The activity tracker reports your and your team's active mouse movements on the screen. This percentage doesn't mean much if you are in meetings throughout the day as Hubstaff will report those times as inactive.

Pros: Hubstaff's desktop app is very user friendly and makes switching between projects easy. Admins can add or remove projects from user's list easily. The app does take screenshots of the user's screen which can be useful in certain cases. User's can be added to another user's "team" so that managers can view team member times and activities in a daily email summary or by logging into the online account without being a Hubstaff admin.

Cons: Hubstaff uses a lot of computer memory, especially the screenshot feature. Several users have reported the performance of their computer is affected. There is a mobile app but I have found it only works intermittently, most times I receive an error saying the feature is not available.

"A Great Time Tracking Tool"

Pros: I liked the desktop app which syncs with the web app and gives you a nice summary report.

Cons: I didn't find anything that I would complain about. It's an awesome tool.
