I love it! Still use it and recommend to other colleagues.

Pros

I like that it comes with the integrated time doctor, detailed reports for the team activity & productivity, as well as the recruitment Hubstaff Talent platform, I'd say it's the best remote hiring platform. Have found many employees from there.

Cons

There's no payroll integration with Payoneer. It's tough to do payroll with limited options.

Pros

Hubstaff is great software for the time tracking. I am just a user but when comparing it to other time- tracking software I've used in the past, Hubstaff is less complicated and easy to handle/manage, especially when it comes to adjusting time. It can be intimating at first, but using it on a daily basis proved to be easy.

Cons

Sometimes it doesn't reset after 24 hours so the time for the new day gets added to the previous day.

When it comes to the time tracker not having its time reset at the start of each day, the most likely cause for that is a temporary connection issue - affecting the connectivity between your time tracker and our servers. Typically, the time tracker will refresh at the start of each day, at midnight local time. If, however, this doesn't happen, it will mean that the time tracker is in an offline state. That's not too much of an issue, though, as Hubstaff is well equipped to track time in an offline state as well. Your time will be accurately recorded and uploaded to our servers, the next time the connection can be made. Feel free to reach out to our support team, should you have any prolonged issues with the time tracker itself.

An excellent choice for monitoring time and establishing workflows, it helped a lot in optimizing the work of employees and facilitated the workflow for the entire company. I recommend to everyone !

Pros

We did not expect such a burst of performance, I do not regret purchasing this application, it works out its money right away! In the first days, we easily got used to the interface and functionality, everything is very simple and accessible. We also very liked the possibility of synchronization with other applications,we are still experimenting on new ways to use the app

everything suits me, there were small problems with remote access, but everything was decided within a couple of minutes

I can manage my own time better and can see over the course of the week, which are the projects that I am neglecting. This helps me plan my time for the coming week.

Pros

I can have different grants listed and when I work on those grants, all I have to do press a button to track my time. When I am doing my own personal admin, time can be tracked too. This has increased my awareness of how my own time is spent and also when I am neglecting some of the my projects.

Cons

I have not used this on the laboratory computer since it takes screenshots which may contain confidential information and am prohibited from letting that get out. I have talked to the customer services that and mentioned that I would like their function taken out and it is a huge security risk.

### "Can still use some work"

Despite the somewhat aggravating issues with lack of intuitive controls and the inability to append screenshots to invoices, it has done its job of tracking time and helping me compile professional-looking invoices. However, after I finish my current project, I'm considering moving all my independent clients to my Upwork account since Upwork is now allowing us to bring our outside clients in at a 0% fee, which means I don't have to use an independent escrow service. Here's what would keep me a loyal Hubstaff client: - Make the controls more intuitive and user-friendly - Give each project a one-stop dashboard where we can access all data related to it - Perhaps find a reliable escrow service to partner with so that we can keep track of escrow and budget together in one place

Pros

The time tracker is easy to use. I especially like that it detects idle time and prompts me to decide whether to delete it. This is a huge time-saver since it prevents me from having to figure out exactly when I walked away from the computer and forgot to stop the time.

Cons

As far as I can tell, there's no way to append the screenshots to an invoice or to send them as a separate file. I have not yet contacted customer support to find out if there's a way to do it, but that's such an obvious function for users to want that it should be easy to find and use. Also, there should be an easier, more intuitive way to access a project's data. I should be able to click "Projects," then click the project I'm interested in, and then have a little dashboard with links to timesheets, screenshots, and invoices for that project. Currently it only lists members assigned to that project and tracks where we are with the budget. This should really be a one-stop page for the project -- and consequently should probably be at or near the top of the left-hand sidebar menu.

hub staff allows us to focus on what matters for our company, allows us to take automation of tasks among team , it has good user interface and its so easy to use , being able to run on android phones makes more convenient to users , i recommend to it other company's

My overall experience has been nothing less than a blessing because I had almost lost hope to work as a freelancer because of the huge competition on platforms like upwork which resulted in no job for the first couple of months but as soon as I joined hubspot it all changed for me.

Pros

What I liked the most about this software is the fact that despite of the ever growing competition in the freelancing industry hub spot is still giving every freelancer a chance to prove their worth

Cons

To be honest there’s literally nothing I dislike about this software but I would say that it could be even more better if they gave freelancers an option to attach their certificates and portfolio.

When I started working as a freelancer I tested most of the most famous time tracking software services out there. I always ended up coming back to Hubstaff! The free plan was perfect for starting out, and now it also works perfectly for our small team. And we hope the same will happen once the company grows bigger.

Pros

The ease of use and the fact it's so feature-rich. They have many integrations and even offer API for custom implementations.

Cons

I'd like to have the ability to set different pay/bill rates in different currencies, regardless of the primary currency set at the Organization top level.

Pros

This was the most usable product for my team in the lockdown period. We have successfully managed the team remotely in the whole lockdown period. The time tracking and screenshots of the screen is a most useful feature.

Cons

It removes the collaboration of the basecamp app. It is having a difference in time calculation of candidate and admin (as received multiple complaints from the team).

### "Worth trying if you are looking for employee work tracking software"

A contender in the employee work tracking space. Co-workers will be initially resistant to the hassles of it but the program does try not to take up too much space by being a small app in the corner.

Pros

Easy to start and stop the time tracking clock which is the most vital feature you have to teach a co-worker when using this platform.

Cons

The reporting is really tough to navigate. Just trying to organize the daily vs. weekly report requires too many clicks. It's amazing how quickly you forget which spot to click to find the weekly report of a co-worker. Also it only tracks keyboard and mouse movements which is big minus if you co-workers spends lots of time on the phones. Quite often the system will stop tracking if the keyboard or mouse isn't moving which al ot of people don't do if they're talking on the phones. The mic should be considered an input device as well.

### "Best time monitoring and employee activity tracking aap"

Pros

I like how easy is to set up Hubstaff on any OS. How easy it is to log in and forget about the time tracking process running smoothly in the background. The dashboard shows extensive reporting about timesheets and activities.

Cons

The only con I face is that Hubstaff takes screenshots even on login screens which exposes user data and sometimes Hubstaff API blocks the fetching API if you have integrated it with some application.

I work with Jira. Sometimes it has verification problem which makes the calculation of the work time inaccurate.

### "Great value, with a caveat"

Pros

Works well for tracking the hours and activities of various employees, while they're on the go. It's a great reporting tool, and it offers automated payroll; abeit at an additional cost.

Cons

I don't like how it notifies the employee using the software each time there is a screenshot taken. It gives them an opportunity to manage their workflow in such a way that they can predict when the screenshot happens and minimize a window of objectionable content.

We're able to track the work time and habits of a mess of remote workers from the other side of the world with relatively little fuss.

Pros

Hubstaff gives different levels of control that can be passed down through the command chain, allowing The Boss to have the total domination he needs to feel like The Boss while enabling middle management to fiddle usefully with things and retain enough control over their team's calendars and settings to not make them feel emasculated and vestigal. Even the rank-and-file employees themselves can be given a decent amount of control -- or not, if that's how you like it.

Cons

The calendars used on their Timesheet pages are really finicky -- sometimes, you swear the thing you just did in order to get from 'looking at today' to 'looking at yesterday' SHOULD have worked, but clearly didn't...and then you do the exact same thing again, and it works like you expected. Also, and I realize that this is a problem in all similar software but it IS avoidable and SHOULD BE avoided even though it's not actually avoided anywhere, Hubstaff is not great at dealing with timezone changes. So if you have people on the East Coast, people on the West Coast, and people in the Philippines, two of those groups have to learn to think and act like they're in the third group's timezone, and that's hard when you're dealing with entry-level remote workers.

Pros

It allows tracking time, recording screenshots, and monitoring employee activity levels. Much better than what their competitors offer.

Cons

1) every time when I update Hubstaff or an idle time is detected, the time tracking stops, and it would be often hours later that I realize the time tracking is not running2) Beginners forget to turn on the time tracking several times, and costs huge for the employees

Pros

Hubstaff offers great time tracking features. We currently use regular, manual time tracking which includes features like frequent screenshots, where I can see what my developers are doing, and integrations to task tracking software such as Trello, which allows me to see exactly which feature my devs are working on and how much time they've spent on it. Super useful!

Cons

For my taste, their pricing is a little too high for time tracking. They have different plans, and I feel like for the basic features, which I use, it's too much. For the other features though, it's a good deal. Their pricing is also a little hard to understand because they apparently have two different types of plans, one being legacy w/ per-use policy, and the other being...different 😄
