Pros Can be used to track staff training needs where staff are unproductive and it can also be used to recognise and reward staff who are over-delivering. Cons It needs to also track input from the microphone of the computer and talk time as an important metric. Our company uses JustWorks, PayPal, etc. to pay employees and they have to manually enter the time from Hubstaff to calculate how much they earn. Pros I like how easy it is to track projects and prove my activity level is high enough. I also like how you can see if your employer tracks URLs, apps, or Screenshots in case something sensitive is on there (for example, a screenshot of you talking about someone else at the company or bank password). Cons I do not like the UI at all on the mac app. It is dated and does not even show the start button if the window is too small. I also do not like the idea of tracking URLs, apps, and screenshots, though I understand why a company would want to. I prefer review of an employee be done upon their performance on what they should be doing and trust them with the rest. We also believe in trust and don't recommend an employer solely depend on Hubstaff to measure performance. Nothing can replace open communication and thoughtful feedback, so activity scores alone and other tracking measurements should be a piece of a larger system of evaluation of performance. That is so easy to use and to track the hours of any working project and get paid. This is up to its standards and I am hoping will get more features near future. Excellent! Pros Hubstaff is a really great software to track hours for various working projects by developers. Simple signup, project adding, timely view through screenshots, hours track make it more easy and reliable to work with. You can simply check the activity for every 10 minutes and even the activity of physical devices like keyboard, mouse, etc for any particular project. Basically, that is a whole project time track collection itself. Cons Hubstaff is good to track the activity on various projects. But from the Developer end, developer is unable to delete any wrong screenshot from his sde. Also there is nothing shows at the dev end if the screenshot has been taken or not. Pros Very easy to use. Intuitive. The changes they've rolled out to reporting have also been great in general, incluing the updated email snapshot of the previous day. Much easier to read. Cons I wish I could see time spent on specific tasks on the desktop client. I'd also like to be able to drill down in the general report to see the task breakdown under each project. So, for a management point of view, it is a useful tool if you want to see everything from when they clocked on, what they were working on, screenshots, and how much activity they had when they were working. From a user perspective, I think it could be improved. Maybe improving the minimized version. And perhaps creating a favorites option for tasks you work on regularly. Pros It works. I don't have any issues with it starting or turning off and it gives you the corrects time. I like that it tells me when it takes screenshots and you can export your data. Cons I can't use the minimized version unless I want to keep opening it up and changing the timer again and again so I just keep the max window open and hide it behind everything. I would like it if there was a "favorites" section where your most commonly used tasks were grouped together. I found that once I stopped using Upwork for hiring and time tracking I needed another option for a few of my workers. Cons My only con about this software is that the base package is from 1 - 3 employees instead of offering a single employee option. Once set up, you literally have one click to switch on your time clock and you don't have anything more to worry about. Payments and approvals are automatic, and proof of work is perfectly captured via screenshots and keystrokes. We all hate filling time sheets and with Hubstaff there is almost no need for it. Cons It would be great to have the option to upload third-party timesheets with attached files for proof of work. It gives them privacy, as they can just stop the timer at any time, and gives both employer and employee peace of mind. Pros Hubstaff gives me peace of mind regarding my employees working activities. Whether they work hourly or fixed -price projects, I know that they are working on my projects, not someone else's or browsing Facebook. Cons The interface could use a lot of work to make it easier to get reports, delete snapshots etc. I find it's slow and it does not use AJAX, so it keeps refreshing the whole page when selecting options.
