I’ve recommended it to several people Pros Ease my to set up and use. Integration with Tasks. Ease of reporting. Cons The most recent project I was working on didn’t require me to use Hubstaff. When I came back to using it this month, so many new features had been added that it took me a few minutes to find my way around the interface again. Not sure this is a con really since it is indicative of the great work they’re doing with adding features. Cons Their inability to move customers from one membership level to another. I needed to change my subscription and contacted them as such. They did not move me down as requested for 10 months and as such charged me for 10 month on a plan I did not want. When contacting support, they often replied slowly and as a time poor founder this extrapolated my frustration. We also understand many businesses run multiple teams within one login. By setting up these groups under different "Organizations", you can customize many account settings, including the plan, at this level. More information can also be found at the link provided above. I was worried that it would make remote employees uncomfortable, however it has worked well and productivity has gone much higher. Highly recommend. Pros Ease of use to track remote employees, payroll is very straightforward since it does all the calculations. (For time tracking) Cons The fact you can spend your the whole hour writing and scrolling, the best ypu can get the activity is around 70%, its a bit annoying and it can be overwhelming at first (a lot of tabs and features) even if you spend the entire hour writing and scrolling, the maximum level of engagement you can achieve with the activity is only around 70%-80%. June 10, 2018 4.0 Easiest time clock I've ever had to use. Pros Neat little pop up window type feature/app that just had the basic start/stop features. Easy to input manually when you've missed a punch. Cons Kinda felt a little weird having random snapshots of my screen taken at any time while the clock is running. Sometimes I'd forget to clock out for breaks, and it'd be taking snapshots of my personal stuff like Facebook and twitter since i worked from home on a personal computer. Otherwise, it's a fine program. Founder Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "A Great Software for Tracking Distance Employees and Contractors" January 13, 2018 4.0 This software has made it a million times easier to outsource work online, allowing me the freedom to find qualified people from outside my local area. Pros Accurately tracks time that someone works, providing screenshots and activity logs. They also offer logs of websites on while clocked in. It gives you security when outsourcing work to know that the time you are paying someone for is actually time worked. I have had instances where employees had been doing work for other customers while billing me for time and it has in turn allowed me to address issues immediately and saved money and time. Cons The activity tracker (where it tracks the % of productivity) is not accurate so it must be taken with a grain of salt. If you are not actively keystroking, it clocks the time as non-productive. Also, be careful when removing or adding employees as you may still be billed by hubstaff monthly for them. Review Source JN Jessica N. It also allow me to be completely mobile when I need to be and allows the same for my staff/partners. Pros Hubstaff is, hands down, the best time tracking platform on the market. My business would not function efficiently without it, and I honestly wouldn't be able to be as mobile as I am without it. My business model depends upon collaborations and Hubstaff makes that possible for me with very little time spent on administration. You simply can't beat the cost for what you get! Cons While Hubstaff is brilliant at what it does, I haven't upgraded to their premium account because I find the payroll and billing to lack the flexibility I need to work well. For example, it doesn't allow me to write-in a description of activities accomplished on the billing, which some of my clients require. So I'm stuck using other platforms for that. Also, there's so much potential in their task system to replace other project management platforms, but it's not there yet. Review Source Irene G. Pros I like the simplicity of the software. You can just open the app, and start tracking time for work. Cons There isn't much to dislike about this app. It hardly ever failed. However, sometimes the timer does malfunction. It is a rare situation but when it does, it is very annoying and it goes back to zero and you'd have to manually track it and get approvals. Cons For the notes/time entries, I wish there was a bullet/numbering feature as I use some time entries for blocks of time in which multiple tasks have been completed. It meets our needs incredibly well for this and we haven't found a time yet where it hasn't worked. The site is always up and running and the clocks are never down, which is important since staff works 24/7. Pros Accurate time capture - we use it to clock billable hours and the reports and accuracy are spot on Cons We cannot get our Salesforce integration to work, and I've tried multiple times. It's hard to understand the integration, even though it seems I follow the directions. I am very happy with Hubstaff and recommend it for anyone needing a time tracking solution, especially if you use Asana and are part of a team. Pros I like that it has the ability to integrate with Asana so that I can track specific tasks. The screen capture feature is also nice for managing remote teams. Another feature that I found useful is the ability to assign different people to projects. Cons There is a slight learning curve. September 10, 2015 5.0 I am with them now for (I think) a month (and a half?). The desktop App works flawlessly. It is really easy to integrate with Gitlab, Github etc. (I did not try anything else since i'm using these only) My clients love that they can see that how much time I spent on an Issue. When I close the Issue with the desktop app, it comments to the issue the tracked time. I can feel that they really care about me as a customer. I had some issue with the payment (from my bank's side) they extended my trial so I can keep tracking time while my bank fixed the issue... :) I remember some week ago they were under maintenance for a short time on Sunday (when the less customer were tracking time). Unfortunately I was online, tracking my time, just to see that I lost 1 or 2 hour. I reported it, they told me sorry and they even offered to pay the lost hours. :) I turned down the offer since I could add it manually, but this is something that... that you may be never going to see from other companies. :) I tried a lot of time tracking solutions but stopped them using after 1-2 weeks. I'm still using Hubstaff ( I broke my personal record with them ) Maybe the great service, maybe the excellent customer support... I don't really know. They're just right for me. Pros They care about you. Good pricing / well priced. Easy to use Dashboard. Easy to use Desktop App. (that integrates pretty well with other services, like GitLab) They handle your problem lightning fast. Even if it requires further development. I mean seriously... you report a bug or something that it is not working as intended and it gets fixed in a short span of time...
