I’ve been using it for the past four years, and it’s been incredibly helpful. It has enabled me to manage and oversee the work of a global team, ensuring that our clients’ projects are completed properly and on time.

Pros

Hubstaff offers an intuitive user experience. You can usually find your way around without any support. If you ever feel stuck, their help pages are clear and genuinely useful. And if you still need assistance, their support team is responsive and helpful. They also continue to roll out new features based on client feedback, which shows they listen and keep improving the platform.

Cons

They may need to add more reports, which they’ve been working on, as I keep seeing new ones being added over time.

Overall, it was a good tool to manage tasks and track team members work around. Amongst other time tracking tool, if you have budget, go over this one.

Pros

We get the moneys worth in functions available comparable to other time tracker. HubStaff can be modified on how long the admin wishes to make screenshots on the work space. The app is user friendly. Navigation wise it's not that difficult to understand the statistics of team, whether on what website they spend most of their time.

Cons

Sometimes, productivity is not properly accurate. It differs, sometimes in the number of times we move from one tab to the other or one screen to the other.

Hubstaff is seamlessly integrated with my client's platform, so other than hitting start/stop on the Hubstaff timer, my actual interaction with Hubstaff is minimal. And that's how a timeclock should be! I guess I wish my client gave me more work to do so I could clock in and out on Hubstaff more.

Pros

Hubstaff has been one of the most user-friendly timeclock tools I have ever used. The process of getting set up as a contractor was simple, streamlined, and straightforward. It worked flawlessly - I don't even know how their Customer Support is, because I've never had to contact them. I open the app, hit the start button, work, and hit the stop button. That's it. My hours go straight to the team and I get paid. It's automated to a level where I don't even have to talk to a person to use it. I also really appreciate that the desktop app prompted me about whether I wanted to minimize or completely close the app when I click the X.

Cons

There was one single time where my client asked me to watch a training video and Hubstaff marked me as idle while I did so. I don't think it should have, as I was doing what I was asked, but I just learned to interact more with the screen when watching training videos.

The interface is intuitive, and navigating between different client profiles and records is seamless. Additionally, the integration with Hubstaff is a great feature. It allows for accurate time tracking, productivity monitoring, and provides valuable insights through detailed reports. This helps in managing teams and tasks more effectively, especially for remote or hybrid work environments. Cons

One thing I find a bit inconvenient is the requirement to create a project separately after adding a client. For me, this feels a bit unintuitive. Ideally, the option to create a project should either be integrated into the client setup flow or prompted immediately after the client is added. It would streamline the process and save time, especially when onboarding multiple clients in a short period. A more seamless workflow between client creation and project setup would definitely enhance the overall user experience.

### "Choose annual pricing carefully"

Well - it was all fine until you realize there is absolutely 0 flexibility in the annual plan. Been a member for a number of years with HubStaff, and have paid annually. Downsizing my team and wanting to cancel our membership; however - they're unwilling to offer any sort of refund. I suggested that they simply run the math to assume we were paying the higher monthly rate for the year, and refund us the difference - that way we have earned no discount, and if anything - they come out ahead for having gotten paid early. Nope - just flat out refusal. Shame - went from enjoying their software to feeling like a money grab. Oh well - better software out there for cheaper anyway. I wouldn't come back nor choose them if I were starting fresh.

Pros

Time tracking software is accurate, scheduling is nice, it's a feature complete product so can't complain there.

Cons

A bit expensive per user for what's offered, and too much functionality is locked behind additional costs. Thankfully, the core product is accessible on their main plan. What I didn't like was that they were completely unwilling to refund a portion of the annual plan - even though I suggested they calculate it to assume we pay the higher monthly rate for what we've used, and refund the difference, which is a completely fair approach - but this was just flat out refused. Put a sour taste in my mouth for the whole experience.

Overall, I do like HubStaff, and it does function for the very large majority. I think with some additional refinements and new functionality to the desktop app, this will help significantly with the administration side of the house. Additional refinements to the integrations with Salesforce and QuickBooks would take the functionality of the system to the next level.

Pros

Overall, HubStaff is great for managing trackable, billable time for client projects. It's easy to manage project budgets and also have proof-of-delivery for client projects.

Cons

There is much to be desired with the desktop app. There really needs to be a way to make adding notes required when stopping timers, and help avoid the need for employees to log in to the website to manually edit entries. The integration stack also needs some serious improvements when it comes to pushing data into QuickBooks/Salesforce. There are many gaps in functionality that create tedious manual work items for our team.

OVerall smooth and not much bad to eport. Everything was working just as expected. The support team was helpful and easy to get in touch in which is always great when you dont have to wait a very long time to get a real person to help.

Pros

Very good analytics , reporting and visibility. Super simple to use and sign up. managing staff / teams is direct and easy. It was real helpful to navigate through teams and employees to see what they are doing and their numbers

Cons

I would say we haven't had much issues. I remember when i've attended meeting or watched trainings since my mouse or keyboard wasn't moving it reported low activity. However i was actively talking and paying attention.

I think help me to have a clear breaks and lunches which are important to refresh middle of work however the moving mouse situation give an inaccurate because a call still part of my job or reading documents and they both are track as low productivity.

Pros

It is easy to set up and the tracking of time is very accurate in a way too accurate, It is easy to track activities and to check what the team is doing or did in the past. It had help me to track my steps and refresh if I did X things and get an screenshot if I forget it.

Cons

Sometimes I engage in long calls with clients and the timer stop, the fact I can still select that time be still added is fine but is a pain having to be moving a mouse when I am just hearing or giving an update.

We had to use this terrible software for a year. It always made us problem with wrong timelogs, lost clockins, and mixed tasks and projects. We had to pay at least double for an employee to follow up hubstaff failures. Since they don’t offer refund we had to use it until terms end. Price is 5x more comparing to alternate better softwares.

Pros

I did not like it at all. We had terrible experience. Raised issues never solved. They forced us to use for one year.

Cons

Many Failures. It does not work properly. They also force you to use even yoi are not satisfied.Constant problems and customer service.

I have had a terrible experience with this company and 100% do NOT recommend them. They do not care about their clients at all.

Pros

In the beginning it was affordable and worked fairly well. It was easy to use and seemed straightforward.

Cons

Hubstaff autobills without notice, and they charged me TWICE what I signed up for. They signed me up for services I don't use and then charged me for it. I do NOT recommend this company. Also, their service fails ALL the time meaning I need to spend time manually adding time to time sheets.

Pros

What I like most about this product is that it's easy to implement, both from the employer from the emploee's perspective.

Cons

There's nothing I don't like. Maybe that it doesn't give you totals when you export it. You only can export hours.

Great! Was easy to use and understand, though recording my screen the whole time felt a little invasive, but I was able to mitigate this by pausing and restarting the timer when I needed a break.

Pros

I liked how easy it was to track time for different projects, as I just needed to start and end the timer as necessary. The time tracker did not interfere with my work, and I was able to go about my tasks as usual.

Cons

Nothing was bad about Hubstaff, but having it record my screen the entire time while I was working on tasks felt a little like an invasion of my privacy, as I felt forced to stay on certain webpages the whole time while working.

I like hubstuff, only wish that there is a cheaper option acording to the hours spend like i explain in the CONS box. And i wish, hubstuff has a CRM for sales too, cause i like this brand, and i believe if hubstuff make CRM sales, it would be better than monday, salesforce, and pipedrive.

\- The screenshot and their alamr about suspisious activity - The help agenct, specially Mercy, she always help me with fast (compare to other agent) - integeratetion with Hubstuff task that help a lot

Cons

\- The price, because in this "work from home" work, many of employee has double job, or we pay by the project only, so they not really work 160-200 hours a month. I had employee only work 80hr/month. Maybe there is a cheap price according to the hours spend? - There was a problem with the integration with Trello before finally we move to hubstuff task.

Pros

I liked how easy it was to get started. I was invited by the company I hired for a project and within a few minutes everything was set up. The interface is straightforward and you can clearly see how much time each team member worked, with detailed timestamps. It really helps avoid unnecessary disputes about work hours or related issues.

Cons

In over a year of using Hubstaff, there were a few times when screen activity didn’t record or hours weren’t tracked correctly or delayed. These cases were rare though and for the most part everything worked smoothly.

\-10/10. doesn't even register on the scale. There is zero benefit to this tool for a role that is results driven (sales/BD)

Not a bloody thing. Salaried employees (Sales/Business Development) within our organization are now punished if we are not in front of a screen. How many deals are sold punching keys?

Cons

babysitting and micromanaging professionals 101. For roles like sales, Business development - it is more important to have screen time rather than build relationships (you know actual results). Spare me the "manual" entry BS - that's what a CRM is for.

I used it for a couple projects, it has its pro’s and its cons. But, all my hours were tracked properly and I didn’t have any issues with the software.

Pros

The clock-in/clock-out widget made clocking in and out super easy. The dashboard had everything I needed to know about my quality and performance for each task.

Cons

The mouse tracker I think is a unfair feature, specially when I am use if the keyboard more because the task calls for typing.

Pros

1 - Ease of tracking the work and also getting review like the activity. 2 - It helps us in keeping track of our work and also the idle time alerts help in monitoring the work. 3 - The most important pros for me is the alert which I get if i forgot to start the timer that helps in tracking the time. 4 - Also is I track the wrong hours means in another project it is very easy to shift the time to another project with a few clicks.

Cons

1 - Sometime there is issues with the interface means for a particular functionality we have to do a lot of clicks rather than a simple navigation or shortcut. 2 - There could be privacy concerns not sure about that as the screen is recorded.
