We've increased profit margins since using hubstaff and have a much better idea of how we should be billing clients for what type of projects. Really, could not do without it!

Pros

While there are other tools for time tracking, we like the different integrations that hubstaff allows into other tools that we use. This makes tracking, billing, and managing resources much easier for the entire team.

Cons

The actual design/usability of the platform is sort of tricky at first. The menu nav makes things more confusing than it needs to.

We've always had prompt response by the HS staff when we've had a question. For the price, the program is easy to use, and provides the comprehenvsive reporting needed for tracking employee contributions and accurate job costing.

Pros

We've enjoyed the ability to use for our remote employees, whether they are working from home offices or at job sites. The mobile app tracks location, included in the price. Other services we've used in the past charge extra for this feature.

Cons

We had to realign the way we thought the software would work to give us the information as we were seeking, which includes the project and the stage of the work, but once we did that initial change in set up, the reporting has been exactly as we need.

I think overall my experience was pleasant. Unfortunately I've never been the type to keep my computer movement tracked, but for someone looking for a tool to track people who are working remotely etc this is a great tool.

Pros

There are two things I absolutely love about Hubstaff: 1. Ease of use - I still remember the first time I jumped in to use hubstaff and automatically I knew how to use it and navigate through it. They key main functions are at your grab. 2. Daily reports sent to inbox. (this tool right here is what I thought was of main value) Without having to open the app and navigate to see the log in reports (which you can) I automatically received these reports in my email every single day.

Cons

I wouldn't say this issue is much so the softwares fault, but mainly user error. I would tend to forget to pause my time when going on a meeting etc while I was in the middle of a project so the time will continue to track. It will eventually freeze somewhat, but It would tell me if I want to remove all that time while I was away. Which would throw me off from my actual time worked before getting out of my seat. Another thing was the screenshots, I understand the purpose of them of course but kind of awkward.

Pros

Our team is completely remote and we love the many features that Hubstaff offers us. As a manager, I can view what my team is working on and get real-time updates on their progress. It is awesome if you are a growing team because there is a lot of flexibility with the product and it's easy to find the best option for your needs. They also have great customer service too!

Cons

We've only had a few hiccups since using Hubstaff but their customer service team has been able to solve them quickly.

Very proactive team that solves problems for us

Pros

A lot of people will hate that the productivity score is distilled into a simple keyboard and mouse movement but it is the most simplest and straightforward method to track "activity" at a workstation. We stop looking at daily updates as it's a bit too Big Brother but it does help management look at the holistic picture. For example, if I see someone's productivity score dipping two weeks in a row, I know as leadership I need to have a 1 on 1 to find out why.

Cons

Would like the screenshots to have more time inbetween shots, say 15 or even 30 minute grabs.

Hubstaff integrates with a lot of project management systems, and works pretty well with Asana, which is my system of choice. The customer support is responsive and helpful. Hubstaff isn't bogged down with complicated features you don't need.

Pros

It's simple and effective. Features like time tracking notifications, and the ability to track time from the mobile app are very nice.

Cons

I've had a few experiences where new updates have caused bugs in the software and had to uninstall and reinstall the software to resolve the issue.

Been using Hubstaff as a freelancer, and have actually enjoyed it so far. It's an easy way to keep track of what you're working on, and it's great not having to fight for invoices to get paid each week.

Pros

\- Automatic payments built-in - Interesting features like activity monitoring - Nice reporting dashboard

Cons

\- Windows app feels a little outdated - Not sure if it tracks activity when watching a video (so you need to move the mouse around)

Fantastic. It has made managing a remote team significantly easier.

Pros

I love that it makes time tracking and payment super easy. But also that you can look at the screen recordings of teammates, that's particularly useful with graphic designers to catch issues before they get too far down the line.

Cons

Managing through the different member settings and evaluating the differences between bill rate and pay rate can get slightly confusing if you're not using it for the bill rate functionality. The payments through PayPal's Mass Payments Gateway can be odd to reconcile as it relates to fees between accounting software, Paypal and HubStaff but that's not HubStaff's fault.

Overall, Hubstaff is really worth it.

Pros

This is the easiest way to track someone's daily activities which increases the team productivity. They also have a cool features which we normally use like screen capturing and creating and sending reports.

Cons

Correcting is sometimes super tricky but it can be corrected most of the time. Live chat is a missing features.

Seems a little intrusive when using the Desktop app but we don't use it so not a real issue. Sometimes employees forget to clock out on the web app though.

The experience is good, and will benefit some but this application is not for all. IF your work is based on timed - projects , this might be the one for you. Other than this, Can't think of anything who could possibly should use it.

Pros

Easy way to track projects done and easy to link tasks with Trello

Cons

Time is Not synch when you are using mobile and computer. It is likely to receive late log in when you use mobile application but time earlier than shift. (annoyed by the late shift notification) . And the worst is you need to be active all the time by clicking refreshing or clicking so your productivity won't go down. Thing is when you are working , you will need some time to think, but because of the productivity rate , We tend to click and click and cannot focus on what we do.

As a freelancer, I quote projects based on how long I estimate something will take me to do. Before getting started with Hubstaff, I had a tendency to underestimate how long things take me to do. Now, I can easily track how long I spend on projects and use that information to more accurately quote future projects.

The software works great except when I forget to turn it on...

Pros

The software runs in the background smoothly. Accurate time tracking is vital for remote employees which hubstaff does best. The autoscreenshot and activity rate features allows us to measure the effectiveness of employees.

I can't think of anything negative about the software. Although I would like to see an updated user interface since the current one is somewhat boring to look at.
