June 12, 2019 1.0 It's totally money minded piece of crap, every time it reduces my work time even though I never open any social media application or any other useless site. I'll campaign to remove it's uses in my team. Cons Majority of the times it captures only those screens when I am searching for any solution on internet and somehow it shows the highest percentage of activity on any random screen. The ability to run reports and to see screenshots of team activity has been very useful. Clients are reassured by the fact that we use a system to track our time. Pros It removed the need for multiple timesheets and excel spreadsheets and enables me to accurately track the time my staff spend working on each client project. Cons The desktop app can be a little bit clunky but it's improving. Reason for choosing Hubstaff The other apps seemed to be mainly aimed at freelancers or contractors rather than at a team. July 16, 2020 4.0 Pros The interval-based screenshot capture feature combined with the intuitive activity level really helps us in determining whether an employee is being productive or not in realtime. Cons The cost for where our company resides can be quite in the high tier, thus we cannot afford to use the premium subscription one (currently on the standard subscription) Reason for choosing Hubstaff Primaryly because of the intuitive screen capturing mechanism, activity level and the integration with Trello. It promotes discipline Pros The software Lets you know if you are efficient. Tells you which apps/links you spend mostly. Cons It's like you are forced to be in front of your laptop/PC. A short bathroom break or making coffee (which is a normal occurrence in an office setting) will decrease your percentage rating drastically and it's very hard to push it back up again. Pros Well, there is lot of employee tracking tools, but no one is like HubStaff because they shared you live tracking of your employee/freelancer display. In every 10 minutes Hubstaff take random Screenshot of its display and also told you how much percentage keybord and mouse use. Cons There is only one thing i don't like in HubStaff its pricing structure. They are charging per person with per month. I hope they give some plan like 10 person in plan of 5 person plan. May 18, 2018 4.0 Pros It was easy to use, was well designed. It had a desktop component which is very important for me in my workflows. Cons The crux of the problem for me was difficulty of tracking time and doing invoicing in one easily. The feature sets for both the invoicing and the time tracking were too minimal. I need to track time against tasks in Jira & Trello for two different clients and then invoice them separately for my time spent. Hubstaff didn't do this very well. I went with a combination of TimeDoctor and Zoho Invoicing which is a good solution and has a fair feature set on both time tracking and invoicing. Hubstaff was easy-to-administer to do time tracking. The most helpful features were screenshots and keystroke tracking. It results really detailed and eye opening for time management and tracking. It requires a careful implementation in terms of policies and compliance. We saw potential in Hubstaff to improve productivity and help employees prioritize their tasks. It integrates with our CRM, Salesforce, which could be a route for us to take eventually. Reports were automated and easy to read. They do have resources for best practices in their page https://hubstaff.com/employee\_monitoring Cons We wished it was more flexible, more "customizable". They briefly cover the legal side of this in their page https://hubstaff.com/employee\_monitoring and have one article about privacy. Maybe they can add more aids for implemnetation, communication templates, and other resuources in terms of complaince and privacy implications. Overall, a very positive experience from Hub Staff. Pros The absolute best thing about this software is it's sublime user interface. It's simple and intuitive software is unlike any out there. Online time sheets specifically have been useful and easy to use. I absolutely love it and has saved time and money for my company.
