July 16, 2018 5.0 Reduced costs and increased productivity. We're also about to use it as a sales tool, increasing transparency with our customers. Pros The random screenshots are amazing! While it's rare I find time to check them, the threat of knowing they're there means more honest time logging from freelancers. In the first month I saw my monthly expected freelancer bills (across 8 freelancers) drop by over 30%! It's highlighted an issue with one freelancer in particular and prompted a staff change. Cons It is quite expensive and I wish it was more affordable so that I could roll it out to people that only do a few hours a month for me. Review Source Stephen B. Pros it keeps track of your work hours for you so you don't have to keep notes or 'do the math.' Pros Quick start with minimal technical knowledge. This system gives users the ability to track and monitor staff effort without an intrusive, cumbersome interface. It's priced perfect! Cons The scroll bar on the side menu! The Payroll feature is not user friendly and does not offer enough options or for payment. I discovered Hubstaff when looking for a time tracking application that is cross platform (Mac/Windows), automatically syncs time w/notes to Freshbooks. I was sold on Hubstaff when I discovered it has time tracking reminders, in case you have not tracked any time in x amount of minutes. This is great if you are prone to forgetting to start your timer. Cons Can not submit time tracked instantly (does so on an interval). The schedules feature is nice, however if I want to plan my day and schedule hourly, Hubstaff does not have this support. Review Source EB Eugene B. Keeping track of my personal PTO is a nightmare. The calendars on the reports to set up custom time fields are clunky and often do not save. Having a more intuitive PTO system in place that has running totals would be useful. So, for example, I could tell HubStaff that I am allowed 8 hours paid leave for every 66 hours worked, to a maximum of 22 days (176 hours) for every 365 days. Hubstaff could then let me know how much of the 22 days I have used in the last 365 days. This would also save hours of work for the HR department Review Source KG Kathy G. Pros Hubstaff allows me to keep up with how I spend my time whether working on a billable client project or developing designs for my online shop. I can look at where the time goes in and learn how to maximize my earning capacity by spending my time where I make the most. Cons I don't really have anything to contribute. One things like like most of hubstaff is it is available for android phone,window and chrome extension too. It shows me everything of what my team doing.Everything is arrange in organize manner like you can create organization, your team and members. It give you Image of working after every 10 min so you can see what your team is doing. Cons As i said everything is good, but yes i am not satisfied with its price , they charge per member charges. I want if they offer something like limit of creating organization but can create member upto 5 0r 10 in same price. It is very easy and efficient in terms of keeping track of hours for multiple employees. Pros I like that it is easy to use and keeps track of hours as well as notifies you when you are inactive. Cons There are some features that are missing - I would like to be able to add PTO to it for instance. Pros Ease of use and ability to quickly get employees on board with using it. I have not had any employees complain about using it. We love the integration to Trello so not only can we track time but we can also track time to specific projects. Cons I wish it were free :) Seriously, we have 1 employee that uses an extremely outdated Apple laptop and the operating system is not supported. However, we have been able to get them to use the Chrome extension instead. I would definitely recommend to anyone who works on group projects or needs to have everything organized with one program. This upgrade has helped me so much! It alerts me if my assistants are late or abandoned a scheduled shift Cons Sometimes it is hard to understand each of the settings under each user. I don't think it is explained very well - such as under edit role and limits - settings - idle time. I'm not sure what each of those mean. Pros Great set of features and plays well with Asana which is our core PM tool. Reporting (time per project, time per task) is also quite good compared to other tools I've seen. Cons The onboarding needs much better help with articles and videos. There are 1000 details to set up and the articles miss a lot of those.
