I am a remote worker for a private dev company based on overseas. They track my hours using hubstaff and somehow we all benefit from its feature and functions. On my end its the tracking of tasks and also how much hours and money did I accumulate working everyday with them. And also on their end its the ease of tracking what Im doing and eaay counting of payments due to the invoicing.

Pros

The ease and comfort of use. No complex step of checking your hours, status and tasks that you have for the time being.

Cons

I really can't point it out. Overall the software is amazing

Pros

As a Manager, I am able to review the real-time work schedule of my team members at regular intervals. Very useful during the appraisal discussions to have the real time data in front of me. Integration with Jira is an advantage as well.

Cons

When manual time is added the activity percentage for that time period is set to 0%, which affects the average on the whole.

We are 100% remote so it's great for managers but some employees feel like they are being micro managed.

With the decision to take the office remote (work from home) we needed some assurance that our people were working effectively all hours of the day. HUBstaff gave us the confidence to make the move. Once we created bench marks in the 1st 3 months it helps manage our staff.

Pros

Makes sure we don't have any slackers and drifting into non productive work (surfing the web)

Cons

Sometimes hard to create bench marks for some departments

Not worth the money. Additionally, the administrator should not be charged as a user.

Pros

That's a hard one, I'm not sure I liked much.

Cons

Your tracking while employee was clocked in left a lot to be desired. I should have been able to see exactly when he clocked in on the map and how long he was at each location while clocked in. However, I had to go to a different screen to see how long he was at a specific job site. I had to look at multiple screens to figure out when he clocked in and where he was when he did so. Additionally, the time sheet he turned in never showed the difference between tracked hours vs. manually entered hours.

If you would like to view your employees timesheet and sort by manual time you can by using the "Filter" located on the right of the screen. Thanks again!

It is great app , good organizer.

Pros

It is the best solution to manage times. On my last job for a transportation company, we used this tool, it is an amazing app, I love the intelligent way it is designed. Actually it helped us on organizing work and on tracking via JPS. It is easy to use and accurate.

Cons

The only one point I would write is that it needs to be improved to include all time management inquiries.

Pros

I cannot think of anything that I do not love about Hubstaff. This software provides an invaluable service to my business.

Hubstaff is a great way to manage your virtual team to ensure their time is being spent actually working on your business. The email reports allow me to not need to log in to the app every day and quickly get a feel for how the team performed the day prior.

Pros

The most impressive thing to me is the activity tracking. It records your mouse movements and keyboard entries as activity. Another nice feature is that it not only tracks total time logged, but also which apps were used and websites visited.

Cons

Honestly, none...very easy to get setup. I haven't had any issues.

Pros

We are primarily using it for internal purposes and not to track and pay vendors. There is enough flexibility so our users can adapt how they want to use it to fit their style. Some rely on the dashboard, others on the app, the chrome widget and manual entries.

Cons

The integration with Teamwork is not as tight as I would have liked and the initial setup/integration with Teamwork is not simple. Technically simple but a manual process to link projects and project members.

As a remote user before we used Hubstaff it was hard to keep track of the time I was working, especially if I wanted to take a small brake in my day, but now I can start and stop as often as I like and it is still fair for the team. Often I need to use different devices for my role, and Hubstaff follows with me easily.

Pros

This software is easy to use on all of my devices, Mac & Windows

Cons

I can't think of any cons, it simply works.

Hubstaff is great for keeping track of virtual assistants. It allows you to monitor and review their daily tasks, as well as tracks their time.

Cons

We had some difficulties using this software with in-house employees. They were often timed out.

Hello! Thank you for your review. In regards to your employees going idle, we do have several idle controls available from your account settings that can assist with that. One is called "Idle Timeout" and allow you to set the amount of time of inactivity before a member is considered Idle. The other feature is called "Keep Idle Time", and allows you to control how idle time is stored.

Pros

Screenshots every 3 minutes and I would be able to continue to use your service IF GPS location worked reliably, but it does not. If your horrible customer service reps manage to contact me to fix it, we could stay with Hubstaff.

Cons

Hoodini only pays consultants that use the mobile location Hubstaff AND screenshot activity so when GPS isn't working properly our consultants do not get paid for their time. When its not functioning, they cannot work or make any money to pay their bills so you can imagine how angry they are so we are now looking for a reliable service.

Pros

I use this primarily so my team can log their hours, I can monitor their activity, and they get paid automatically every week. Hubstaff has been great for that.

Cons

Setting up members isn't the most transparent process, and things don't always make sense. Customer services was slow to respond and not helpful. Hubstaff made it sound like integrating with PayPal would be very easy, and it wasn't. I had to speak to five different people, and the process took several days.

Overall good, but offline logging recovery feature is on high expectation.

Pros

The simplicity of use, Lightweight and elegant to use.

Cons

Sometimes, it makes mistakes logging hours and deducts minutes when the device goes offline. There few other time tracking software like Upwork's logbook. It keeps running and logs time accurately if the device goes offline for a while. I belong to India, someplace where we get internet issues quite often and this is the most problematic situation for me.

It's a neat app for freelancers like me so I can document my work. "It keeps you in focus".

Pros

An excellent tool in tracking most of your workloads. All monitors do have screenshot and is layered depending on how many monitors you have. I never lost a single moment whenever I need to do revisions on my work. Hubstaff does it for me, saved my career atleast. :)

Cons

I did have issues on updating the software in the past. After updating via the app, it doesn't proceed or is stuck on something. Had to do a reinstall just to update.

Overall, I really like Hubstaff instead of other Time tracking apps. Will definitely recommend to other users. Reasons are stated below.

Pros

1\. User friendly - Looks intimidating and complicated at first but its actually pretty straightforward 2. Affordable - Doesn't cost as much as other apps 3. Customer support is amazing - they reply really fast and you dont feel as if youre speaking to robots who only give you links to FAQ's when you ask them a question. I mean customer experience is better as they build relationships in their conversations. 4. So many ways to see reports - convenient that you can check your Activity or your total work everyday for the week.

Cons

1\. Interface appearance can be improved. 2. When you dont have internet connection - you cant log in or work offline

Very good idea. Gets the job done and easily too, no hassles.

Pros

Hubstaff makes it easy to keep track of our new remote workers. Until now there haven't been a complete suite of software that provides the services Hubstaff does all in one app. Take screenshots, track hours, make payroll , keep track of all employees, increase productivity, its the complete package.

Cons

There's a web app, there's a desktop app, for separate purposes, isn't much of a big deal but could've been one.
