July 10, 2018 5.0 Pros The best feature is the ability to capture screenshots at specified intervals. It allows us to not only track if our workers are at their desk (on their computer) but also to ensure they are being productive. They also have many integrations that really help automate some of the tedious tasks we hate doing such as reporting and invoice generation. Cons The only thing I don't like is the project management side of things. Every new project requires an admin to go in and add it to the list. We want it to sync up with our project management tool. November 9, 2017 4.0 Pros The ability to add manual time, task related entries, recording of screenshots if needed. We don't use the invoicing and payments part of the service. Cons Reporting is difficult to use and clunky. For example custom date ranges aren't supported on all reports, and when calculating team hours on a report for a project, you either have to have a detailed report without a tally of hours at the end, or a summary report which doesn't detail individual listings but does give a tally of hours. When we started there werent as many options as there are now, but we havent had the time to look into the new option like we did in the beginning. We have had pretty good success with Hubstaff and their integration support. We use WRIKE as an integrated project management tool. Would love to see some updates to how data is displayed and reported to improve our overall experience. Pros The user interface is fairly easy to navigate and share with our clients. Cons The way that information is displayed and data is reported could use some updating. I have to manually convert the data each month for billing into the way that we require (hours totals in decimals versus duration) and the way that the reports are structured are not in the most concise and usable way. For example all of our projects are displayed with full detail without an easy way to expand and collapse those sections to see only the total time spent at a glance for the whole agency. Without a streamlined system to track this I wouldn't be able to accurately track time and invoice correctly Pros There are apps for tracking time in desktop, mobile and web. Adding new projects is simple and fast. The reporting is easy to filter and group in different ways to easily see where you are in terms of time spent on projects or clients. Cons I need to archive existing projects and create a new one at the end of each billing cycle. Would be good if you could flag items as invoiced without having to archive and create a new project each time. Its weekly reports help me understand how many time I spent on my variety of projects. Cons I expected that Hubstaff will automatically detect the time I was idle and stop but sometimes it is unable to do so. For example, it may incorrectly report that I was working all night capturing a lot of blank screens with 10% activity. And I have to remove these time spans manually. Review Source Skott M. Pros We like being able to track time while Also being able to keep an eye on budget and projects Cons We use Basecamp for all projects and we had issues with the way hub staff sync with Basecamp. If I could have creative projects within Basecamp that automatically syncs It would have illuminated and made the software for your school. Pros It's easy to track everyone's time, see productivity. The emails every day is great. It's good for what it is. Cons Time off and approvals for that is a bit difficult. It shouldn't cost as much for employees vs managers since there are different functionalities per person and per role. it would be great to see like an overall week productivity email - how much time was spent per week. July 13, 2018 5.0 Pros Being able to accurately track our employees and see where the time was spent. This helps us so much is setting new goals, removing tasks we found to not be as beneficial and implement new systems to get things done more efficiently. Cons I wish the mobile version was a little better. One of our employees works a lot on the phone and her hours are often harder to track more accurately. But truly, there isn't much to dislike! We've been more happy with this software than anything! Cons The reporting needs to be tailored to match our billing cycle. The reporting also needs to accept different time zones. Why not implement notifications to workets who already woke up but are not tracking time so device vibrates and reminds that it could be possible to get back to work. Pros Some understandable challenges with Redmine, but resolved. Cons Sometimes disables tracker when task is unassigned on Redmine but with a delay and if indivitual who is tracking his time gets lost his internet connection for sometime while working his time gets simply lost. Would be good to pre-schedule sequence of tasks so backend part tracks time for next scheduled task after pervious was removed from todo even if client has lost internet connection. After a strong first impression i was able to make use of the small amount of features i desired. Pros Hubstaff helped me to get my time management on track, whilst providing useful reports and a clear UI. It is probably best used in small to mid-size businesses, where you can take optimal advantage of all the user time tracking and the billing features. Cons As this software is very potent, it comes packed with a lot of features, which can be a bit overwhelming at first. The tutorials help to ease in to the process, however for a first-time user of a time-tracking app, it can be a bit much at first. Review Source TF Tamika F.
