With Hubstaff, all you have to do is to just set up an account and assign roles to your team, rest is up to Hubstaff to do for you. Cons There needs to be some view for the administrators to check the weekly/monthly activity graph to show productivity. Currently we have to select a member and check its details! Reason for choosing Hubstaff It was referred by a friend who was familiar with Hubstaff before so I decided to go with Hubstaff instead of any other tool. Pros Hubstaff is a great product and help my company to achieve the goal to manage work hours of our employees remotely. It also helps to handle budgets and payments. Cons Depending of your usage, It is a bit expensive per user. Specially if the user is just a freelancer that does not work fulltime for your company. July 10, 2018 4.0 Pros I like the ability to integrate to our project management system ActiveCollab. This was the big selling point me when purchasing this. Cons I like least the limitations of Hubstaff in its integration with ActiveCollab. First in the delay that occurs when assigning a user something on Activecollab and having to wait for this to show up on Hubstaff. Second in that subtask feature does not link with Hubstaff. I can just copy and paste a screenshot showing my hours and production to my boss without him having to fish for it. Pros The ease in which you're able to use it. Everything is neat and organized in a way that makes sense and saves time! Cons Not a whole lot. Pros This software is the perfect solution for a staff that is mostly telecommuting. With Hubstaff, we can make sure employees are getting their work done without us having to all be in the office micromanaging. Cons The productivity report seems very inaccurate. After using this product myself, I have noted that it indicates a very low productivity even though I have been actively typing and active for the day. We therefore do not consider the productivity an accurate logging of employee's work, but rather reference screen shots. Pros Hubstaff is quite straightforward and easy to use for employees to log into when they are working, log in their breaks or lunch time. While it may not be always necessary for employees, it's certainly a great tool to use when working with freelancers as both parties can easily use it. Cons Tool had some glitches which meant that time had not been recorded properly in a couple ocassions, but overall it always worked quite well. It records my hours accurately and convinietly. I like how I can even record from my smart phone when I work from home. Cons One thing that kind of bugs me, but I know it's neccesary, (Not trying to step on anyones tows!:) is how often I need to update this program. But it's ok! Everything else is great! Cons I do a lot of multitasking but I have not been able to figure out out to do that within this program. When you click to start an item it automatically stops tracking the other item. Doesn't help when I working two projects or tasks at once but still need to document the time spent on each.
