It gives good clarity of all my freelancer and contractor who are working, what they are working and how they are working. This helps bring everybody in the same page and move the project in right directon Cons filtering weekly hours per team member is missing feature. Having ability to quickly see dashboard view of weekly hours spent by contractor would be a great thing. March 26, 2019 4.0 It’s a great tool for remote workers to track how they are doing! I use it daily and no big issues so far. Pros It’s an amazing program to track the work remote workers are doing. You have control you can pause and turn on hubstaff when you need it to start tracking your progress. The next day you will receive an email letting you know how productive you were the day prior. Cons Hubstaff tracks productivity i believe by activity and clicks on your computer. You can always pause but if you forget to turn hubstaff back on it will note that you were inactive for over 15 minutes. Review Source RZ Ryan Z. We have a sister company so it allows us to seamlessly switch between "projects"; This turned out to be a very complicated thing to do in other software we have tried, but Hubstaff has worked very well for us! Pros \- Very simple to use, but very powerful. Dashboard is easy to navigate, and the reports are great. - When an adjustment is made to your allotted time in a manager's dashboard, it is updated in the desktop app in real-time. Cons \- There were just two instances that my desktop application showed it was tracking time, when all the while it was not counting anything as shown in my dashboard. I could not quit the application by normal means either (which seems to occur only whenever the first issue happens). Cannot really tell what causes this. Review Source SB Skip B. You can also set it up so that workers are paid automatically through PayPal depending on the hours they have tracked. Cons The problem with Hubstaff is that it is really strict with work - if you are away from the computer then it will count this as no work done even if you were in a meeting or some other work that is not on the computer. As well as this, the PayPal payments are sent without review, so an employee could take advantage of this and put many fake hours. Idle time can be adjusted so that there is more time that is allowed while work is being done away from the computer. Idle time can even be turned off all together if desired. We also allow notes to be added to time such as these that allow an employee to let the employer know what they were doing so they know. Timesheets can be set up so that they need approval before payroll is automatically sent. This allows the employer time to review the time that has been submitted for payment before it goes out. It is working really good, so far. Pros I can use it on several platforms, Linux and Windows. But, I can work even if the application is not installed. Cons I feel that the requirement of minimum 2 user for all the plans is a problem.
