Cons I least liked that I had to remember to physically change the task as I gradually changed tasks throughout the day. Keeping track remote workers and tasks can be cumbersome but not since we started using Hubstaff. Cons Customer service via the chat can be quick and effective or it can take quite a while. This helps my team know where we stand and can assign responsibility accordingly. Cons There are areas where the software is “buggy”. I also really appreciated being able to use the app rather than logging into the website every time I needed to track my time. Cons I did not like having to explain "why" every time I had to edit an entry. Usually it was because I forgot to start the timer. In regards to having to explain why you're editing a time entry, there is a solution to this. There's an organization setting called \*Require reason\* that you can toggle, making it optional to submit an explanation when editing time. Hope this helps! Jacob K. It is an absolutely amazing platform and we love it. Any questions you may have the support staff is always willing to help out and go above and beyond. July 10, 2018 5.0 Employee remote tracking and the ability to track hours for payroll. I have also utilized the benefit of timed screen shots to track and assist employees when they have a road block. Pros Once it is set up, as the administrator, I do not need to do much for my employees tracking. I like that it creates automatic time sheets and will mark payroll as paid. I look forward to the opportunity to utilize the program for payroll payments (once we decide to upgrade). Cons The set up was a bit of a learning curve. Provide screen-shot and activity logs. Easy justification of work. Dash-board has lots of option, especially activity and hours logged. Cons Cannot work offline, as it only works online. You can also sign into a project without selecting a task Cons My employees are allowed to assign their idle time to a project, which we do not want them to be able to do. When I grew beyond having a couple of clients, it just didn't work well anymore. Pros The time tracking was fairly easy to use. It kept track of clients well, and allowed me to track different activities. Cons It just overall didn't suit my needs. The reports were kind of difficult to use. I ended up having to export my timesheets to Excel to reformat them before sending to clients. I switched to another program that just works better for my needs. It is good to check in on if a project has some accountability issues or if a client is looking for justification and greater insights. It is designed well and has an app. Cons It can be a bit intrusive at times, especially the screenshot function. I am a user, not the administrator, so I cannot control the settings. Hubstaff solves a really important problem: If you are not tracking time, or you are idle for a long time, it will send me reminders, that way I don't lose productivity time for not tracking time, or sends me a reminder if I have been idle for too long. Pros Thi software is easy to use, it can be minimized to not occupy a lot of on-screen space, it allows you to create reminders to alert you when you are not tracking time. Cons The only complaint y a user interface problem, sometimes when you minimize and open the tool again, it may not display the buttons correctly, and it might be required to close it and reopen it.
